"Stacy...not at all. You look absolutely fantastic," he said with a smile, pulling out the refurbished model of his transporter. "The new one's still in testing, but shall we...?"
"Go on, you guys...I'll catch up. It appears I have a story to tell..." She turned to Alex, not entirely looking forward to relaying it all. Azana, or Sosol, better yet, would have been the right person to ask...but she would do her best.

Alex sobered immediately at the tone of Stella's voice. It seemed to be an even worse story to tell than she had anticipated. She reached up and took Kuniko off her shoulder and held him in her hand and stroked his back with one finger, looking to Stella with expectant eyes, though her bored expression never changed.

"Thanks...let's see, these should be the coordinates. Setting to four passengers...and --" The last word was gone with the flash of light, the Knights and Tyler vanishing from sight.
"If you'd like real detail, you should ask Sol...he was far more involved than me," she said, ready to explain everything that she had read in the reports.
"That white-haired woman is Angeles Valentine, a vampire hunter and the former bouncer for this Inn. She heavily enforced the idea that this was a place of peace, even before my organization designated it as Neutral Ground. Yet, despite her best efforts, trouble kept stirring...she hatched a plan, one that was complicated, with many players, many goals...but only one conclusion: her own death."

Alex nodded, as Stella spoke and looked to the door that the two vampires had left out of; well, one of them was half vampire. She looked back at Stella, "but it didn't work out that way, seeing as to how she's still alive. But that doesn't explain why pretty much everyone's glaring daggers at her. Shouldn't they be glad she didn't succeed in suicide?"

((Whee! Coffee shop...internet, tasty drinks, and the World Cup.))
Stella sighed. "We were...well, specifically, Eli was supposed to be the one to do it. The problem was...we were all very close to her, respected her, cared about her, trusted her. She systematically attempted to shatter all that, to drive everyone into a crusade against her. The Inn was divided...no one could agree on what to do, and so she took more and more drastic actions."

Alex nodded. As a writer, she began to guess at the things Stella left out and the end result. When Stella paused Alex nodded, "I think I understand," she said, "she needed to make herself the bad guy to convince you guys that she needed to die, and began to cross lines, broke your trust," she sighed, "so then what happened?"

"To most, she succeeded. Eli was enraged, and even Gren agreed she needed to be stopped. A group left to accomplish the task, but Angeles knew them all...she was well-prepared, and easily got Eli alone."
She clasped her hands together, fighting back her own emotions on the whole situation. "Angeles had been heavily wounded, but survived as vampires often do. Eli was also injured, and spent a full week in the hospital...absolutely no one was satisfied with the results, the damage done in the name of an illusion. We bound Angeles' powers, trying to get her to repent and end her madness, but she continued to instigate, and the moment she was released, she vanished with D."
Stella glanced down at her watch, eyes widening. "Oh, my! We have to move! Naos!" She flourished with one wand, a portal to the lakefront opening. "You can talk with Sosol later...he'd probably be the most stable source of information..."

Alex listened and nodded, her eyes now somber. But then the darkness surrounding the story dissipated and Stella opened a portal, "alright," she said flatly and walked though the portal.

Zulma was dancing across the Inn while she was cleaning up the floor. She was humming and smiling as she swirled around, still remembering the previous night. She was so happy!

Stella sat downstairs in one of the more comfortable chairs, looking ahead at the choker she held dangling in front of her. It was, besides some residual emotion, the only thing left unresolved from the Valentine incident. While it would feel nice to put it all behind them, she was not particularly looking forward to breaking the artifact. She and her employees had put a lot into it, and undoing the enchantment was going to have some serious backlash. Still, Kageko was the rightful owner of that Void stone, and it was the only way to return it.
She turned her thoughts to happier things, smiling as she flooded her mind with memories of the day before. The ceremony was simple yet elegant, and the reception was a great time. She even came away with the bouquet, a promising sign for her romantic life...
Sosol was upstairs, still curled up with Azana in their shared room. The day before probably couldn't have gone better even if they had had a full year to put it together...of course, the passage of their wedding made his seem all the closer. Still, they had a good two weeks before they needed to start getting nervous...everything would work out just as well, with any hope.

Having spent the night of consummation in a romantic hotel suite, MacPere returned with his new husband, carrying him over the threshold with a grin, suitcase of their wedding outfits in Gren's hands.
"Good day everyone..." He purred, allowing the man down with a further few kisses, his mind and actions yielding to love.

Stella was shaken out of her thoughts by the arrival of the very same couple she had been considering. "Oh! You two...I thought you'd be on your honeymoon by now. Welcome back!"
A flash of light could be seen in the room, followed closely by a chair dropping to the floor.
"He's at it again..." Stella said with a sigh, shaking her head.

"No... We aren't going on our honeymoon until Azana and Sosol finally marry..." He sat in a chair nearby Stella and placed Gren in his lap, sitting together for a while before the saxophonist took the suitcase upstairs.
He blinked at the chair, sitting back in his seat. "Who is doing what again?"
