Sosol had forced it away, but with some effort on his part, and poured himself something to drink, waiting for Azana and Stella to return from their task.
James shrugged. "Good to keep in mind...some people are afraid to do that, but I'll be more than happy to let you know."
Max bopped downstairs, now donning a red wig and a bi-colored outfit, a slight departure from her comfort zone of every color she could find, but hopefully it met with approval. Maybe it could even be part of a whole new image!

Upon seeing Max, MacPere's tiredness faded and he hastily walked towards her, picking her up from under the arms and swinging her around. "Your hair! It's so... We could be father and daughter!" He cuddled her to his chest, beaming.

Max had barely gotten a wave off to the others when she was lifted by MacPere, swung around and held close. She chuckled, looking up at him. "Well, that...wow...I didn't think of that!" Entirely not the reaction she was looking for, but it was still a delight.
Sosol glanced over at Max, doing a double take. Eli was certainly right about that...give her a more formal wardrobe, and...
"Geez, Max...do you just have a closet full of those things?" He asked, looking over with a quirked eyebrow. The "cotton candy", the blond, and now Eli red...

"It's not that, just--" She stopped as he asked about the wardrobe change, both a frown and a faint blush making their way to her expression. "Well...I...everyone seemed to like how I looked at the wedding..."
In a flash, Tyler appeared in the main room, Stella standing nearby with a slightly weary smile. Azana sat on the floor, looking up to everyone. "Didn't interrupt any--Eliwood, where did you pick up a daughter...?"
"Oh, so not funny, Ty!" Max said, turning to face him with folded arms. "Whoa...where the hell have you girls been...? Ya look tired."

"Lying isn't a very lady-like thing to do, dear..." He sang in a jovial tune, offering both hands to Azana in order to help her to a seat. "We're looking rather worn there, Miss Brown. Care for a hand?"

Max pouted at MacPere as he went to help Azana. If he already knew the answer, why was he even asking? Or was he just good at spotting deception? Either way, the ease with which he called her out was annoying...
"Thanks," Azana said, taking his hand. "That thing did not go quietly...left nothing but dust and the two stones."
"What?! Az...I worked so hard on that one!" James complained, a look of anguish on his face. That was one of his better ones, too!
"It wasn't her fault...the thing had too much energy stored...it wasn't meant for as much use as it saw." Stella tightened her sash, dusting herself off before making her way to Sosol, letting the two talk about whatever they needed to.

Fenyx walked outside the inn. Suddenly, a shot rang in the distance. Fenyx heard it just in time to jump, but the bullet shattered his barrier and hit his side, making him fall to the ground. The sniper prepared a second shot while Fenyx slowly, shakily, got up. Fenyx started a barrier spell, but couldn't speak the incantation in time, and jumped again, but he was lacking energy from blood loss, and the bullet went through his arm, and into his chest, landing an inch below his heart.

Tyler pulled the sun stone out of his pocket, the enchantment on it giving off a comfortable warmth, and placed it in Gren's hand. "Thanks for your help on it, Gren...you're surprisingly well-connected."
Max looked over at James and Remy, a smile on her face as she approached. "Wacha doin'?" She said in a singing tone, leaning over their shoulders.
"Looking through pictures I took from yesterday...see anything you like?"
Azana looked away at the question, muttering under her breath as she seemed to be counting a checklist on her fingers. "Cake, dress, bridesmaids...oh, still have to ask Crystal and Stacy. Hmm...flowers, music, drinks...location, minister..." She stopped, glancing back over to him.
"A couple gaps in the wedding party, that's to be sure...and expected..." The light faded from her eyes momentarily at the thought, though she knew Stella would likely have it worse, when she got around to finding Mr. Right.

Remy pointed, laughing. "Look, it's us dancing!"
"Thanks....and I think he'll like having it back."
Hearing a shot, Gren snapped up, glaring toward the door. Getting up and briskly taking to the bar, where he'd stowed a pistol, and carefully headed outside, necklace from Fenyx to keep him safe.

To the gunshot, his head snapped to the door and Gren's back, a worried hiss escaping his lips even if he did possess Fenyx's necklace. "If you die on me just as we marry, I swear, I will kill you!"
