Mitsuru was a little surprised when she heard gunfire all around them. She briefly turned to see that whoever was leading the rebels to counterattack the zombies was helping them. She was grateful for the help as she seen one of the girls take off blindly. Mitsuru was about to go after her but the other girl got to her first. She released the breath of relief as she didn't want anyone to die on her watch. She turned to look up as she looked to see if she could spy the other two that helped from before but couldn't see them. "You two go with the survivors and rest up. I see that you two are getting tired. I will stay out here to try and get rid of the brawlers that is heading towards the barricade." Without bothering to hear a response, she turned and started firing at the brawler. She was aiming for its knee cap as she took off in a sprint, avoiding the bullets spraying from behind her as she tried to get the Brawler's attention but also maintaining her distance so she doesn't get caught in its brute strength.

Diablo was getting frustrated, the humans continued to cut down every brute he sent at them, he was beginning to run out of muscle and the humans were rallying. Maybe it was time to take a different approach. "You three! Start throwing!" he said angrily at the nearest brawlers. But it wasn't objects that they started throwing at the barricade, it was other zombies... The zombies were sent flying into the air before landing on the barricades with a crunch. Several died on impact while others had their legs broken. Unfortunately for some of the guards some started to fall on them, which began to cause panic amongst the front line. The brawlers were fairly far back hurtling zombies with their huge arms. It would take snipers or an aggressive push from the survivors to take them out. The survivors had some smart leaders, but lets see how they deal with chaos from the skies. Diablo once again had a confident grin on his face watching the brawlers roar as they threw the smaller ones at the enemies.

"Awwww, My poor little snowflake. You should know that Bridges is what we might call the problem child of the project. I made modifications to him in secret, see his primary directive is to protect his weak and helpless mother. I was quite pathetic while I was human." she said giggling demonically. "Though I know he can't kill you alone, after all he is the failure while you are the perfect creation. But I'm sure he will leave you weak enough for me to finish off." she said pulling out long sharp needles from her pockets that looked like they could be used for acupuncture. Unfortunately Bridges mother wasn't aware that Bridges was very easy to knock unconscious. That would probably be Lethal's best chance at victory.

As Lethal was shoved out of her path of attack, she rolled on the ground a bit before she got up to her feet, looking at Bridges. "Bridges...what could be causing him to do this...?" she thought to herself, but that was when Dr. Bridges explained why Bridges is acting as he is. She continued to stare with emotionless eyes before speaking, "I see...so you are the cause for his actions...then it seems I have no choice." She looked down as she holstered her knife and her hand gun, "First, I will need to put Bridges into an incapacitated state...then," she looked back up, her pupils began to change color, "I will eliminate you...Dr. Bridges." Once she was finished speaking, her pupils were now blue. She took one step forward, and in almost a second, she was already in front of Bridges. She grabbed his arm that he held the machete in and twisted it so he would lose his grip on it, and then sweep kicked his legs to knock him down in one swift movement. Raechel was surprised when Vic had saved her from running into a zombie, "Th-Thanks! Sorry, I'll watch where I'm going now!" she said before looking back to her front. She then looked at Mitsuru who ordered them to go to the group of survivors. She watched as Mitsuru headed towards one of the Brawlers, "Be careful!" she yelled to her. She had hoped that Mitsuru could handle herself as she made her way to the survivors with Vic. Eventually, they had reached the barricade, "Hah, we...we made it. Vic, we-" however, she was cut off from finishing her sentence when a zombie suddenly came flying out of nowhere and into the barricade, getting impaled onto it. She screamed in terror, stepping back from the zombie as she watched it move around while impaled.

The battle escalated as it seemed the undead where beginning to show an uncanny intelligence. "INCOMING" wall the the commissar could yell as a shambler came flying past and impaling itself on the barricade.The improvised brute artillery was now a large problem and moral was now falling at a rapid pace. Looking up to the skies the commissar was met with the full impact of one of these undead artillery shells. Being knocked from the top of the barricade hurt as the biter began to tear into his right arm. The world began to swim raising his head from the ground he looked to hind the biter onto of him biting viciously into his right arm. The flesh was gone and only the glint of metal remained. His right hand moved to the zombies throat and pushed the creature off of him. Antonius brought the chain-sword around and decapitated the b*****d. Taking a second to look around every thing was in chaos. Survivors where scattering and the undead artillery was being damned effective. The commissar rose to his feet and switched on a small speaker that was built into his mask. "ALL SURVIVORS TO MY POSITION" The order was booming loud as it drowned out the gunfire and even the chorus of the undead. Once more the commissar mounted the barricades. He glanced about and noticed the group he had provided covering fire had made it to the barricade and where only a few feet from him. Raising his chain sword high into the for survivors to rally. "ATTTENION ARMY OF THE UNDEAD, YOU HAVE NO FEAR OF US BUT WE ARE THE BEACON OF HUMANITY!" looking around he saw survivors slowly coming back at the sight of the temporary commander and looking to the buildings people began to appear at the windows with guns. "WE SHALL DRIVE YOUR VILE MENACE FROM OUR HOME FIGHT FOR EVERY INCH OF SOIL,AND FIGHT TO THE LAST MAN!" The commissar watched as a zombie flew right past him only to face plant the concrete and remain motionless. "NOW SURVIVORS JOIN ME AND SHOW YOUR RESOLVE! INTO THE BREACH AND THE HEART OF HELL ITSELF!" A cheer rose from behind the commissar as moral soared. The roar of the commissars chain sword answered the commissars speech as he lept from the barricades. The blade tore through the dead with ease as the blade cut through their skin and bone like butter. Soon other survivors more equipped for close combat pushed off from the barricade following their temporary commander into the heart of hell as they pushed towards the brutes and the heart of command for this infestation.
Mitsuru holster her gun as she wanted to save the ammo for the Brawlers. Instead, she took out her trusty blade Rapier and started slicing at the zombies. She was making her way towards the Brawlers as they have to be the first to go but she cursed once she seen them fling the smaller zombies over the barricade. She has to be careful as she didn't want them throwing the zombies at her as well so she had to move towards the opposite direction so she can get to them on the side. She could hear someone giving the survivors who she suspect were in panic because of the invasion but Mitsuru only smiled as she heard the speech. At least someone was given them hope to cling on top so they can protect the streets. Mitsuru was a few feet away from the survivors and whoever was leading them as she was slowly making her way towards the Brawlers. She made sure to stay out of their reach so they wouldn't charge. Mitsuru had to think for a moment until finally an idea appeared. She moved and sliced some zombies while she was trying to reach a building. Her idea is that if she could could get to a higher ground, then she could shoot at the Brawlers from above and shot them in their brains. Mitsuru kicked a zombie back as there were only a few blocking a door to a building they had the advantage point she needed.

Bridges grunted angrily as Lethal disarmed almost like viper immobilizing a bear. When Lethal began trying to sweep at his leg in an attempt to floor him she was missing one crucial piece of information. Lethal had never been informed about the fact that his left leg was reinforced with titanium after his knee got torn up from a shrapnel grenade. Lethal's kick hit his left leg making it move a couple of inches making a metallic 'dong' that would of probably broken a normal humans foot but other than that he remained rooted like a tree. Lethal was far faster than Bridges so he remained patient, his one artificial eye scanning her and waiting for the best moment to strike. He used the moment he was given after she tried to kick him to reach out with his metal arm in an attempt to grab her leg. and throw her. But in his panic he was too slow and Lethal escaped his grasp. It was clear that Bridges didn't want to fight Lethal, he was completely terrified of her yet he continued to defend the monster without even thinking about his own life.
"Woah! Jeez!" Vic shouted as it began to rain zombies. As wacky as this seemed to her, this was actually really horrifying. She was surprised when Raechel had screamed from a zombie that was flung near her, but unfortunate for the zombie, it was impaled on the barricade. She shook her head and caught Raechel when she stepped back from the zombie. "Come on Rae, we need to get inside now!" she said to her as she pushed her ahead. Survivors moved the barricade in order for them to get in, shooting any zombies that followed. Once they were within the barricades, the survivors quickly closed the barricade. Vic let out a big sigh of relief, "Thank god we made it in..." She looked up at a man who began to rally the survivors, assuming that he was the leader. She had to cover her ears however from his rallying, "Damn...this guy's pretty friggin loud..." she then looked around as the survivors were successfully rallied, "But...I guess if it helps make everybody confident...then whatever."

Lethal distanced herself from Bridges when it seemed her plan to knock him down didn't go well. "Hm...he is much heavier than I predicted..." she thought to herself as she began to think of another plan. She continued to stare at Bridges, her pupils still blue, "...Bridges...I'm not sure if you remember...but did we ever fight when we were children...?" she suddenly asked him. Though she wasn't asking as if she wanted to know, she was asking to give herself time to plan things out. Raechel was flustered when Vic had caught her and began to push her within the barricades. She was really thankful for Vic when she did that, "Th-Thanks Vic...you kept watching me and kept me from getting into trouble...I swear, I'll repay you one day." she said with a confident expression. She then watched as the apparent leader of the survivors rallied them. She was somewhat in awe as she looked around at all the survivors that were ready to fight back, no longer in fear. Seeing this, she was actually feeling more courage within her

The commissar tore a bloody path through the undead horde straight for the immediate brute threat.A look at the mans stances and movemment showed a blood lust that seemed to rival that of the undead. "KEEP PRESSING FORWARD!" His words were met with the slashing of machetes, swords, and improvised weapons of the survivors with him pushing into the heart of the madness. The commissar watched as one of the zombies grab an survivor close to him. They fell to the ground and with a twirl of his wrist the commissar dispacted the zombie on top of the man. Antonius grabbed the mans hand and pulled him to his feet. "Follow me into the abyss and you shall be rewarded "His words here direct and instantly took effect as the man nodded his head and the commissar pushed back into the crowd of undead getting closer to the brutes as they seemed to be less then several hundred feet away. The chainsword tore and ripped its way through the horde this pushing being the greatest of effect to break the undead armys back and make clearing the area much easier.

Bridges turned his head at the question, jogging his memory which seemed to disappear for some reason. It was almost like most of his memories before leaving the lab were erased from his mind, but some random ones managed to slip through. One such memory appeared clearly in his mind.
The memory showed Bridges strapped up to a chair in a test chamber with two scientists injecting strange chemicals into him. Then mother entered the room, followed by a small young girl with pure white hair. She had an emotionless face but held his mother's hand tightly. "Look! Your big brother Haku. He is making sure that everything we give you is safe." she said to the little girl. Bridges had been gagged to stop him from yelling in pain, only the sorrow and fear in his eyes could be expressed while he was strapped on to the chair. "Now if you behave yourself little one, you can play with your brother again next week! That is of course if he behaves too." she said, clearly lying to the girl. This would be the last time Bridges and the girl ever meet, and it wasn't exactly a great meeting either. Bridges would get locked away and hidden, never to be seen again. The girl will then slowly forget that he ever existed, as his memory fades away.
Bridges grumbled in confusion at the memory, it was very vague and confusing so he couldn't recall if him and Lethal had ever fought. "I-I'm s-sorry sister!" he said shakily as he ran at Lethal in a clumsy manner. Almost like any fighting capabilities he once had were now gone.
Vic watched as the man had no trouble boosting everyone's morale. She couldn't help but scoff at the man, "Man, if this guy were in some video game, he'd probably be someone who has a lot of points put into his Charisma stat." she said before looking at Raechel. "Right Raechel-" though, she stopped talking when she noticed Raechel seemed to be getting the same effect that the other survivors were getting from the man's encouragement. She let out a sigh, rubbing the back of her head.
She then watched as survivors began to fight back, without fear and hesitation. "Jeez...as brave as these guys are, they're too reckless...don't they know there's still the ranger brawlers we have to deal with?"

Diablo witnessed his horde shrink by the second, the brawlers roaring angrily as they were running out of zombies to throw. Will the Ephialtes do anything at this point? He was starting to think it was time to retreat. They caused enough damage already, the humans will struggle to recover after an attack like this. He should have spent more time planning, he did not expect the humans to put up such a fight. "It appears my overconfidence is clear this time." he said scowling at his own stupidity. "Looks like its time to make my exit..." he said venomously as he faded into the horde, vanishing from sight before any human could catch sight of him. All that was left to deal with was three brawlers and roughly 200 zombies.
Mitsuru kicked one of the zombies back as she used Raiper to cut off their heads. She pushed at the door and found it a little stuck until finally kicked at the door and it bust wide open. She braced herself as two more zombies came out. She impaled one and then sliced the head off the other. She briefly turned and seen that the other survivors were breaking the ranks of the zombies out on the street. The person that was leading them was encouraging them as he was close to the Brawlers. Mitsuru quickly ran to the stairs and she was looking for a window with a better advantage. She quickly reached the fourth floor and found the window she needed. They looked across of the Brawlers as she pulled out her gun and started firing at them. She was hoping to hit them in the eye to blind them.

When Bridges seemed to be in thought about her question, she took the time to scan him. She tried to find anything on Bridges' body that seems like a weakness, especially for his metallic parts. She needed to find some way to disable them so that he would be somewhat immobile and ineffective in movement. However, she couldn't spot anything out of place...it was as if they were still in perfect condition. When Bridges began to charge at her, she had no choice but to improvise. When he was about a foot away from her, she quickly sidestepped him and raised her leg up into the air, bringing it down to axe kick Bridges' head. She made sure not to hit him too hard, but just hard enough to hopefully knock him out from the kick. Raechel looked at Vic, then at the survivors fighting back the zombies with ease. "But, it's better than being overwhelmed by the zombies right? At least they're actually beating the zombies." she said as she continued to watch the survivors fight off the zombies. She was still fatigued, even though she was feeling encouraged from the leader's morale boost.

Bridges grunted as he fell to the floor pathetically. His body making a metallic clunk as it hit concrete. Now that he was incapacitated Lethal could realize that the doctor was gone... Without a trace that she was ever there... The doctor may have been turned into an undead creature but she still knew what Lethal and Bridges were made of, she knew their abilities along with their weaknesses. She would be a dangerous foe in the future. But for now Lethal had dealt with the situation, and from the looks of the street below, so had the rest of the survivors.
