"You have an hour to complete as much of the test as you deem yourself able. Good luck, Eliwood MacPere." Skuld started the timer, taking a sip of the cooling tea. As much as it would likely bore her, protocol required the supervisor to be there the whole time to prevent cheating.
"I hope ya came in here to actually talk ta me instead of naggin' me 'bout my look..." Max muttered, ready to turn back to her system in progress.
"I did...it's about Stacy," he said, knowing that would catch her interest. "I know she's into me, and the feeling is mutual, believe me...I'm just, well, not sure how to go about taking the next step."
Max tilted her head. "Supergenius can't tell superpsychic how he feels, hm? She seems a straightforward kind of girl...strong, feisty, a detective. You're probably better off just comin' clean about it all. Even if it isn't graceful, you're honesty will come through. Any psychic detective would tell."

Sorry, Eliwood, Skuld thought with a sigh of her own, but this isn't my idea of fun, either.
Azana came downstairs with a stretch, a couple scrapes still visible on her elbows from the mission. She paused as she looked over to Skuld and Eli. "Is that what I think it is...?" She asked in surprise...were they actually testing him? As in, GMO talent testing?
Skuld glared over at Azana. Don't you dare come over here! I know you have testing in a couple months; I will not permit you a sneak peek of this latest version!
Azana threw up her hands, making her way to the bar to pour herself a drink and get comfortable.

Azana waved back, avoiding getting too close to the test. She definitely did not want to learn how Skuld's practice was going first-hand. Still, she was intrigued...not only was the latest version of the test nearby, but Eli was taking it. Did they really think they'd find something?
It wouldn't surprise me...some theorize that everyone has talent and only need development...or that's what James told me, at least. She thought, sipping on some cola as she flopped onto a couch. It was going to be a long, boring day.
Skuld smiled and nodded, hovering the timer out of boredom. Luckily, the other tests wouldn't be so time consuming, especially if the results were negative.
"I just over-analyze, I guess," Tyler said in response, standing up. "Thanks, Max...I'll leave you to your building."
"Yeah, you're welcome, ya geezer. If Remy asks, it's comin' along well...especially with these! Ty, you keep outdoin' yourself!"

Skuld grinned, glad he was at least bring pleasant about the test. She had heard rumors about the Sword Test, though she never took it herself. Maybe she'd have to ask Tyler or James about it later...considering their scores, they'd probably know it inside and out.
"Just to let you know, you have twenty minutes left..."
Azana tapped her foot on the floor, a little nervous. She still had her testing, which meant she would be doing some serious practice after her honeymoon. Eli was getting the easiest version of the tests...for seasoned operatives like her, they were considerably more difficult, more taxing...and definitely more dangerous. And since they changed every few years, she never knew what to expect...but that's how she worked best.

Azana nodded, taking another drink of her cola. "At least part of it...don't know which. She won't let me near it since I'm due this year..."
Skuld watched him carefully, noticing he had made some good progress...maybe not Sword-level, but still not bad by mundane standards.
Sosol came downstairs, avoiding the test area as well as he made his way to the couch with Azana. "How far in?"
"Dunno...she won't say."

Just after MacPere announced its completion, the timer went off, and Skuld shut it down with a smile. "Well done, Eliwood. Test one of four is complete."
Azana blinked. The first test...? She had him take the Sword Exam first...good thinking, Skuld! She thought with a smile.
Skuld took the completed paper, sliding it back into the case and retrieving a strange deck of cards. "Would you like a break before we continue?" She asked, flicking her gaze to Gren.
Sosol blinked, looking at Azana. Why would the Sword Test be a good first choice?
Eli has no confidence in the more metaphysical abilities, but the Sword Exam is a test of intelligence...something he can at least do well by mundane standards. She's easing him into it.
