"Okay! That's about how it usually is!" Fenyx sat down, and then someone knocked on the door. He got back up, opened the door, and there was what looked like a 10 year old girl, holding a disproportionately large mace. "Ah... Hello, Shalmii!"
Shalmii swung the mace downward at Fenyx's head, saying, "Hello, Eisiol! Hope you didn't miss me during my training in Durem!" Fenyx caught the mace, and let Shalmii inside.

Gren shook his head, closing his eyes and facing into his husband's chest. "I know...I know, and I'm so lucky...I'm so sorry for this."

Shalmii looked at her mace, and quickly said, "Nope! I just don't know how to turn it back into that card thingy that my big brother gave me!" Fenyx sighed. "Um... Try saying 'Abeat'. It works for my artifacts..." Shalmii said the word, and it turned back into a card. "Wow! Now I can bring this into a bank!"

"Don't be... It's what I'm here for, remember?" He pressed a kiss to his lover's forehead before uncurling himself, nodding his head to the bathroom. "I'll just take a quick shower and I'll be right back, alright? You know where I am if you need me~"
He smiled before strolling to the bathroom, intent on getting himself clean.

He nodded with a weak smile. "Have fun..." he said, sitting up straight on the couch with a sigh. Crisis over...things were back to normal...he rubbed his forehead with a sigh.

Hopping into the shower and immediately setting to work, MacPere bit at his lip, eyes staying closed for a while. "Useless, useless man..." He muttered to himself, despondency written over his face. He could have been a better spouse... Stayed and seen things play out, protected his beloved...

The white noise of a shower adding a mellowing effect, Gren thought for a moment. Standing, he fetched his saxophone and cleaned it, beginning to freestyle.

Finishing up, MacPere stepped out and wrapped a towel around his waist, padding into the bedroom. His expression lightened some to the sound of the saxophone, but it remained overall despondent as he dressed into pajamas.
