Angeles's words snapped Knightsoul out of his reverie and he regained focus. Apparently, a siren had joined their ranks. He would have to be on guard around her, especially when Crystal was around. He made a mental note to warn Tyler, as well. He knew all too well about Stacy's jealous streak.
"That sounds like a good idea, Gren, but I probably shouldn't get too deep into the details until we set a date. Any recommendations?"
Mike squeezed his massive frame through the door and took a seat at the bar. "Evening, folks." he said as he grabbed a beer.

Gren chuckled. "Then I ought to warn you, my husband'll probably flirt like mad with you. He doesn't mean any harm by it, though."
Turning back to Chris with a wave to Mike, the thought for a moment. "Depends how long you'll need to plan, but I'd recommend September for short notice. Nice month, not too hot, not too cool..."
Remy returned from the kitchen, sipping his blood, oblivious to what had gone on. "Eh?"

She repeats her name. "Zon Xei Mar, but Xei will do." She nodded her head to him, placing her staff at her side, picking up Bo an placing him in her lap, the sprite dancing about, lost in his own little world.

Hayabusa was bored of the entire conversation, he expected Angeles to do something crazy like last time. He moved the floating scythe sideways and removed it in to the void which he now owned. "There's got to be a way to kill time..." He looked at the ceiling and thought about something he could do.

TEKKER beeped and spoke "Master, I have a priority communication from Power Central, coming across the secure channel."
He looked up. The secure channel meant the message was likely coming from his brother in Victory City. "I gotta run, Gren. We'll talk later. Mike, don't get comfortable. We might need to move out." He grabbed his gear and ran out the door.
Mike waved at Chris as he left and took another swig of beer.

Well, on my 29th birthday, I was growing tired of being without a man that could love me. I needed that in my life. My master, new mother, only friend, went out and found a man for me. This man and I went on a great quest. My old town was being attacked by skeletal creatures, you see. He didn't, however, understand that the form I was in, was only a disguise to lure the beasts out. When we arrived back at my Lady's home, he tried to leave me there alone. He said "I was told to look for a woman, you are much, much to young for me." So I had burst into tears, at the same moment my Lady awoke. She had grown to love me by now, and so she threw him into the pit, right after making him watch as I transformed into the woman he'd been wanting...
*Regret washed over her face as she remembers the past.*
I tried to stop her, she wouldn't listen to me.... Would... would you like to see what I looked like at nineteen Ma'am?

Gren nodded, toasting with his empty glass. "Go get 'em, tiger." Looking back to Xai, he smiled. "So, you're a Siren...get the feeling you'd bring the house down in here!"
Remy listened to the story, brows wrinkled. What was this..?

A ringing sound entered the room and Mike pulled a phone from his pocket. He listened for a few minutes before his eyes grew wide with shock. "Are you sure, boss?" He listened for a few more moments before asking "Are you okay?" Finally, after a few more moments he said "Okay. I'll see you back here and I'll have a beer waiting." He hung up the phone and slipped it back in his pocket before letting out a sigh and opening another beer, taking a long swig from the bottle. "Things just keep getting complicated, don't they?"
