"Let's see...after the incident with Lucifer, they ran an assault on Valentine Manor...the GMO squad, the Millennium Knights, Kage, Eli...anyone who had an axe to grind. I personally didn't go, so I can't tell you everything that happened there, but it ended pretty messily. Eli was in a coma, Angeles full of holy water...nasty stuff. They slammed her into an enchanted choker they made to bind all of her powers, and she was effectively under house arrest here. Turns out she did this to try and prove a point to external threats about why they shouldn't mess with the Inn, and to get Eli and his mother to get along. Following so far?"

This hole thing started when Angeles attacked Eli's mom and pretended to bite her (as we later found out), making us think that she was now under Angeles' control, therefore the only way to solve the issue was to kill her. And no, no...it doesn't make much sense. All it'd ever show is that we'll kill our own friend when we get mad enough, just like anyone else. I won't pretend to get it."
He looked at his husband and smiled sweetly. "Honey, if you don't go to bed, I'll take you there myself."

Gren smiled and petted the man's hair, continuing. "Okay...Well, Eli was in a coma, and I was a total wreck, because he'd proposed as soon as we got back from the Lucifer fight. That kept up for about two weeks. There were a lot of arguments, a lot of fights. Not good at all. But, lucky for us, he woke up! From a coma! Doctor says it's due to the gene that gave him a tail. Not that it mattered, so long as he was back, right? He came home, things settled down...some new faces arrived, had a few bachelor parties, more drama with kidnapping from the GMO and with the Knights..."
