Xei chuckled an leaned up grabbed the fat cat, placing him in her lap since the other left, itching behind his ears an base of his tail, the chubby thing letting out a hoarse meow, purring like an old truck motor.

Moonbeam curtly wrapped her tail around her front paws, giving the scene a look of disdain before shooting an imploring look to Azana. Perhaps she'd make the new guy leave. '...Mew~?'
Gren blinked. "Hey, a cat!" he smiled at Xei. "Hello, everyone."

"Ello." She waved a hand to him, snuggling the fat thing in her arms, smiling to herself, she had always loved animals, more so than some people. She kept her eyes on Gren as he came in, fiery crimson pools shimmering underneath her bangs.

Azana chuckled at her cat, beckoning her over with the promise of affection and distance from the stray. Moonbeam was obviously put off by the arrival of another feline, but technically, Neutral Ground protection extended to just about all species. While it was meant to ensure that all metaphysical beings were under its umbrella, it had the side effect of pertaining to pets, too.
"Hey there, Gren," Sosol greeted the musician, though he was sure the mention of the new cat would lose him points with the older favorite. "How are you feeling today? You left in an awful hurry last night..."

Moonbeam quietly trilled and trotted over to Azana. At least this one knew how to respect a cat's domain, she reasoned, rubbing Azana's leg.
Gren smiled sheepishly. "I'm all right, don't worry." he replied. "Anything new going on?"

"Well, Xei brought that guy in here," he said, gesturing to the fat cat. "Moonbeam's not taking it well. I'm trying to help Azana figure out what to do with her free time...and thinking about trying to pick up a few games for the Inn. Last time, Remy and I had to use bottle caps for checkers."
"I bet Tyler or Max would have something, but they've been busy lately," Azana said. The temptation was there to go and help them, but she remember what happened last time. She just wasn't cut out for it. As Moonbeam approached, she leaned over and stroked her cat, scratching her head and the base of her tail as they got in reach.

Gren blinked at the new cat. "Just brought him in? Gosh...hope he doesn't have anything Moonbeam can catch or anything. Still, he's cute! Free time, games...we really don't have those, do we? Suppose we could go out looking for some."
Moonbeam purred happily, rearing up and pressing her nose into Azana's hand, demanding more affection.

"I know a good place in town...the same shop I picked up that puzzle box, actually," he said with a grin. "I planned on going a while back, but things have been really busy lately, and I haven't been able to get requests...well, except one."
Azana smiled, gingerly picking up Moonbeam and allowing the cat to rest on her lap, a better position for both of them. It had been a while since she simply sat around and gave her some love...perhaps this whole "free time" thing wasn't going to be so bad.

Gren shrugged. "I wouldn't mind a few games...Chess, checkers...maybe some more intensive stuff, I dunno. I can imagine Twister going funny, and Would You Rather would be pretty fun!"
He glanced at Xei, giving a look of mild concern to Lek. "Feline leukemia? It's not something you see..."

Sosol nodded. "Definitely some of the basics...a couple decks of cards to keep around, and they have a lot of interesting things in there. I don't think puzzles would be a good idea, though."
"Why not?" Azana asked, Moonbeam happily purring in her lap. "I had a great time with mine."
"Tyler," he answered simply. "We probably couldn't pick them up fast enough."
"Oh, yeah...hm. Well, I'm leaving it up to you, since you've been there before."
"You don't want to come along?"
"Moonbeam just got competition; I'm not leaving her alone with him," she said with a wink.

Xei let Lek down, the fat feline trotting his way around the area, sniffing here an there, avoiding the female cat as much as he could, he didn't want to claim anything as his own, merely just to get affection.
