She looked up as she moved to her side. "It's a good thing at times not to be able to read others dear." SHe didn't mind the kid thing really.

Nate gave an understanding nod and immediately proceeded to the kitchen to make the bartender a hearty meal. It was the least he could do after all the kindness Sosol had shown him.
Chris looked at Azana when she mentioned what they had been doing last night. "Is he okay?"
Stacy picked up on the thought and gave Tyler a reassuring embrace. "We're going to stop this. Nothing's going to happen to her."

"He'll be alright," Azana replied, though there wasn't that usual resolve in her voice. "Some rest, a good meal...I'm sure that's all he needs." In her own thoughts, though, she was bitter and terrified that in her promise to not retrieve him too soon, she had been a bit too late. What had happened...? Even she wasn't sure, but it hadn't been pleasant...that much was clear.
Tyler chuckled, one that was weary and looking for humor. "I don't doubt that...though, given everything, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't afraid for her. She's dealt with a lot, but not much metaphysically..."

Nate came out of the kitchen with Sol's meal which was, appropriately, a hero sandwich. He walked up the stairs to the barkeep's room and knocked on the door.
Chris nodded, glad to hear that Sol would be okay. "Did he find anything useful? I think Mr. and Mrs. Smith over there would love any new intel," he replied, gesturing at Stacy and Tyler.
"Request permission to smack you, boss."
"Denied."

Sosol rubbed at his eyes, having woken up again just before the knocks came at the door. He had been in and out of sleep all day long, and his dreams, attempts at visions, and reality were still a bit of a jumble as he made his way to the door.
"Nate...?" He said, opening it slightly to the bird. "Is there something you need...?"
"I don't have to ask permission, you realize," Tyler said somewhat flatly, tempted to follow through.
"If he did, it's going to take a little to sort out. He only got flashes, and I don't think any of them solidly identified anything yet." Azana remembered when she had first experienced the InfoLink with Sol, how it took days for her mind to settle the images. Was it similar to what Sol was experiencing, or something different? Skuld had mentioned how intense a vivid vision could be, and while he was under a hypnotic trance the whole time, he definitely showed signs of something along those lines.

Nate took a grand bow and presented Sol with the sandwich, one of the finest he had ever crafted, and a bottle of juice for energy.
Chris walked over to his usual table and sat down, producing his harmonica from his pocket. He brought it to his lips and began to play a relaxing melody. This prophecy had everyone on edge and he wanted to help put his friends at ease, if only for a little while.
Stacy resumed Tyler's neck massage, also attempting to relax him as he worked. There wasn't much they could do for anyone until they had this riddle solved, anyway.

"Wow...room service," Sosol said with one of his usual grins, though this one was weakened by the difficult experiences of the past day. "This looks fantastic...thank you, Nate. Did Az set you up for this?"
Azana listened to the tune, taking a few deep breaths. Nothing she couldn't handle, right? Besides, they had quite the group...no king (or queen) was falling. Nor were their four indicators going to find permanent trouble.
Tyler tried to relax, feeling the tension in his neck and shoulders despite Stacy's best efforts. So, working with our theories...something connected to Xei is threatening us, or it somehow influencing things in our lives. Aris, Chris, and Angeles are three of the four indicators...Chris, MacPere, Stella, and Max are our endangered kings. Wait, can Chris play two parts? We might have to think of someone else for that second place.
I hate prophecies. Riddles, puzzles, tech, no problem. These? Ugh...

Nate responded by shaking his head and gesturing at himself, indicating that he was acting of his own accord. He then gave the barkeep a friendly pat on the back and a reassuring squawk before heading back downstairs to make himself a meal.

"Thank you again," Sosol waved after Nate, closing the door and finding a spot on the desk for his dinner. He wasn't feeling hungry, but that could change quickly with a taste of the bird's cooking. He sat down with the plate and bottle but winced, holding his temple as images began to sort themselves out.
After it subsided, he picked up the sandwich, thankfully wolfing it down along with the juice. He was hungry, after all...though he knew it would be another day or so before he could sleep soundly again.

Chris finished playing his tune and sat back in his chair, much on his mind. This prophecy had put them all on edge, distracting them from other things. He thought about Crystal and their wedding. They still hadn't set a date or done any other planning. He briefly wondered if that was, in fact, the whole point of the prophecy; to distract them from something.
Stacy stopped rubbing Tyler's neck and looked at Chris, clearly having come to the same conclusion. She had to admit that none of this really made much sense, except for Xei's part in all of it. Was it possible that she was trying to distract them from something else? A prophecy would certainly serve that purpose as those who lived within the Inn seemed to drop everything at the first sign of trouble and follow it through to its end.

Fenyx walked into the room, and pointed at a random portal. "Um... Is that normal?" Ayase walked up to Fenyx. "Yes. I found out another method of restoring the Code, and, therefore, restoring Magicus. Apparently, there are 3 versions of the Code. There are 490 normal keys, 7 Master keys, and 1 Grand Master key, the one that Raia destroyed. By finding all of the Master keys, I can restore the Grand Master key. Likewise, by finding 70 normal keys, I can restore a Master key. I will be away from the inn for a while, so don't come looking for me." She walked into the portal, which closed. Shalmii jumped up behind Fenyx. "Was that your girlfriend, Eisiol...?" Fenyx blushed. "Um... no?! What would make you think that?

"Feeling better...?" Azana asked, her arms wrapped around her husband.
"Yeah...Nate brought up some dinner last night," he answered. "Everything seemed to settle down after that...I didn't find anything related to Xei's paper."
"I don't care about that right now," she said, giving him a small squeeze. "You kind of scared me back there...is it always like that for you? Having visions?" She decided not to tell him about the lastest theory brought up last night...having all that effort potentially be about a feint would have simply added insult to injury.
"Sometimes...it's worse when I try and force one. I should have warned you in advance."
"It's okay...I've done some stupid things, too. Come on; I bet they're worried about you downstairs."

With an almighty wheeze, the man, face red as beetroot, reached the inn, literally collasping through the door. He dragged himself along by the metallic briefcase he clutched with both hands, incomprehensible words escaping his lips.

Azana and Sosol arrived downstairs just in time to see the man enter the Inn, clearly in some sort of trouble.
"Az, get Hunter," Sosol said quickly, approaching the stranger and leaving no room for questions.
Azana nodded and ran upstairs, stopping by Tyler's room first, though she wasn't entirely sure he'd be there, given Stacy's mood the night before. "Ty? You in there?"
"Sir, please, take a moment and calm down...you're safe here."

Angeles and D turned to look at the man, but various conflicting emotions kept the female vampire, who had been pacing, from going to aid him. Luckily Azana and Sosol had come down at that moment and Sol ran to help him as Azana went to get Tyler. Angeles turned away and finally sat down in the chair across from D and waited to find out what new problem had arose.
