Sosol approached his wife at one of the tables, pouting somewhat at her bad mood. "Still worked up about last night?"
"A little...it felt like deja vu," she said, shaking her head. "I just need to get it all out."
"Going out to practice, then?" He asked, knowing what that euphemistic phrase meant.
"Yeah," she answered, standing and wrapping her arms around him. "I'll try not to be out too late."
"That's a good idea, all things considered," he said, giving her a light squeeze and a quick kiss. "I'll call you if anything comes up."
James followed the directions he was given, arriving at a door and giving it a light knock. "Professor? Are you in there, Al?"

Captain Stone came into the Inn. Behind him was a scowling officer and two men in suits. Spotting Cameron, they took seats around the table. Stone, however, walked over to Chris and sat next to his friend and leader. "Hey, boss."

"I'm alright," said D glancing over to Gren, his dark eyes seeming even darker, glancing looking over as Angeles finished sweeping up the glass and threw it away, brushing her own hand over the ground to gather anything that may have remained.
He hummed in thought and glanced back to Gren, focusing into the man's eyes before looking back at the table to continue thinking.

Albert laughed as he he sat with his back to the door, the case opened and empty. "Oh, come on Celeste... that's cheating..." He laughed, placing down a few cards.

James could hear muffled voices on the other side. "Professor, open the door. It's James! You know, popped in? Gave you that lab equipment...?" He stood outside the door, wondering if he was being ignored on purpose.
Azana passed by the suits on her way out, eyes narrowed at them before she took off for the GMO. I don't know what it is...but I just don't like men in suits anymore...
Sosol noticed the entrance of even more people. It was going to be one of those busier evenings, he could tell already...

D looked over at Gren through somber eyes. He did not need to answer Gren's question. Angeles moved to sit across from D and wrote on the notepad, don't worry about it. Alex is right, it would be pointless to reveal her secret.

Gren read the note with an annoyed look. "She doesn't have to make a scene about it, though. She knows very well that fighting's not allowed, and if it happens again, I can't guarantee if I'll have to enforce that more. I promised Zulma that I'd be an Innkeeper, and I can't let that happen on my watch again."

Cameron stood to greet the men. "General Sloane, Mister Davis, Mister Farrow, good to see you again. How was your trip?"
"Enough chitchat, Trent. My time is very valuable. You said you had something. Where is it?"
"All in good time, gentlemen. All in good time. You must be tired from your flight. Can I get you gentlemen some drinks?"

"I started it," said D simply looking at Gren calmly and Angeles threw the notepad at the dhampir with a harsh sigh and D simply moved his head and let it sail past him, "I believe it's an important part of someone's life. I was trying to make her reveal it."
"Aww, how nice of you to not let her take the fall," said the parasite and D clenched his hand closed.

Gren shook his head. "Don't take the blame for someone else's wrongs, D. You've done enough of that in your life; I can tell. If it's not life-threatening, it can probably wait anyway. There's enough drama going on without fights over such, and you don't have to bother yourself with it."

Gren glared at the hand. He'd had a horrible time sleeping the previous night, and the laughter wasn't helping his headache. Still, not wanting to displace aggression, he sighed through his nose and looked about the room. "Anything good happen?"

Angeles held out her hand and D bent over and picked up the notepad and handed it to Gren and wrote D got kicked in the nuts and now we know that they work for a Dhampir. Meaning D has minuscule hope to be a father one day. She laughed softly and looked away so that D could not give her any disapproving look.
