Watching the men file out, Gren returned his attention to the issue that had him neatly riled up. "Alex, I'll deny you that pleasure when it's a problem to my friends and family. You haven't got the right to throw bottles at a curious man, and you've certainly got stones to try and avoid responsibility. Kill me in every book you ever write, see if I care. I've died a few times already in life, a few more times in text will just show how petty you can really be."

Alex merely blinked and took another one of Nate's sandwiches and looked at Cameron, "so no collaboration then? I'm sure I could help," she said, leaning over and taking one of the military men's drinks and sniffed it before setting it down with a sigh, "whiskey," she said disappointed before looking at Gren, "when did I throw anything at anyone?"
D looked up a hand on his eyes, shaking his head slowly. Alex sat back in her seat and added, "and I was joking about the book," what was it that Sosol had said, tone fluctuation? She really should just stop talking to people that didn't need to be distracted.

Tyler walked down the stairs, waving to the suits as they headed up to find some rooms. God, I hate suits... he thought before stopping in his tracks, looking at Stacy. Except that one. Yowza.
"Evening, Stacy," he greeted. "Nice look you've got going here..." He sat at the same table, hoping Cameron would take the hint and buzz off.
Sosol nodded, quickly mixing a martini for the detective. Wonder what she would think of the agents around... He thought, noticing the general ill sensation from most toward the strangers.
James beamed to the professor. "Not quite the method I came up with, but hey! All roads lead to Rome!" He tossed the notepad away, putting on a visor similar to Azana's (but green) as he looked it over. "Man, there's a billion things she could do, and that's the best they could come up with? What morons!"

Gren narrowed his eyes. "Broken glass from a bottle means something happened that shouldn't have. Don't do it again." As if he needed an insolent kid on his back about enforcing the law. Sighing off some of his annoyance after the joke was motioned, he shook his head to himself and strolled to the bar. "Sosol, a water please."

"Thanks, baby, but don't get used to it. I hate suits." She reached down and forcefully removed the high heels she had walked around in all day. "i had some meetings with people, though, and Cameron suggested that I put my best foot forward."
She leaned over and gave him a long kiss. "How was your day? I missed you."

"Well, that's businessmen for you, huh? Mind in a single direction..." He sighed, setting Celeste down on the bed for James to observe her properly. "No-one is receiving this, are they?"
"Evening..." MacPere greeted as he re-entered, much lighter in terms of work. He would have to avoid Azana like the plague if he were continue giving chairty so much at this rate.

"Cameron got you in a business suit, huh?" He asked, mostly playful though a bit of aggravation with the man smoldered behind it. "I'll have to take a picture next time." After their kiss, he shrugged to her question.
"Not really eventful...the usual plotting and tinkering they seem to keep me busy with," he answered, "and believe me, I missed you, too..."
Sosol grinned, sending out the drink orders to their owners. "Don't forget to mention that we've got some extra guests..."
"Oh, of course...looks like your old friend's business partners finally arrived. They're upstairs...you should have seen their faces when they found out their caterer was a bird."
"Huh? Oh, of course not!" James answered with a smile. "One of the perks of being Head Technician...nobody's peekin' over my shoulder...wow, you are gorgeous!"

"I'm sorry I missed that," she chuckled. "It's okay though, because today was a very productive day. I met with the bank today about a loan to start my PI firm. They approved it! I'm going to go into business for myself. Isn't that great?"

"Well, congratulations!" Tyler said, leaning in and giving her a kiss. "We'll have to put together a celebration, like a grand opening. It's always liberating to work on your own terms."
"Avoid Az...? Geez, what did Stella give you?" Sosol asked before freezing for a second. "You have about ten minutes before she gets back...just in case you were wondering."

"It's top-secret~" He chanted, pressing a kiss to Gren's nose. "Hah, not really. I just can't tell you with prying ears~"
Though rather a bit of a hypocrite, MacPere himself somewhat eavesdropped upon Stacy and Tyler's conversation(an automatic instinct when hearing money-related matters). He strode over to their table, quietly apologising before pulling out his check book. "How much was the loan for~?" He asked rather curtly, checking if his pen worked on the book's inside cover.
"You're a Head? Wow... Aren't they always old and somewhat resembling Einstein?"
The blob made a quiet sound, sliding forward in curiousity.
