Charlotte, who'd spent the day meandering about in the basement, emerged with her left hand held at eye-level, fiddling about in unseen thread, muttering darkly about new developments and the likelihood of intervention. Behinds her scuttled about ten minute creatures that could only be described as a bunch of chibis, toting a large banana. This crowd went upstairs, unaware of the events in the main room, and largely ignorable.

Gren, long since finding his mellow, strolled into the room with a friendly wave. A good long time spent in bed, no matter doing what, often improved his mood. "Hello, everyone...feeling any better, Angeles?"

Gren blinked. That wasn't good. "You, ah...want a glass of blood, or..?"

Gren gave her a gently considering look. "Don't pretend everything's fine, Angeles...I won't wrench it out of you, but if it's important, let me know, all right?"

Gren watched this. He was curious. Very curious, but had just said he wouldn't pry. Nodding politely to let sleeping dogs lie, he strolled to the bar sink and fetched a glass of jasmine iced tea. "So, other than that, I suppose I'm on my own for conversation..?"

Chris emerged from the kitchen, a bag of baby carrots in his hand. He was thinking and liked to crunch when he thought. He only hoped his crunching wasn't too loud.

"Stop talking. Brain thinking. Hush," he replied, covering Gren's mouth with his hand. He withdrew his hand when he realized he needed it to eat more carrots.

His mind reeled as he considered both possibilities and difficulties. Tyler and Eli knew the truth about Cameron and wanted to help, Tyler to protect Stacy and Eli to serve his vengeance. Alex, Angeles, and Azana suspected there was something not right with him (there was a joke in there somewhere about the intelligence of women whose names started with 'A', but he let it go). On top of his own team, that made for a formidable fighting force when the inevitable confrontation arose.

On the other hand, General Sloane's arrival had complicated things. The soldier wanted the suit and he had no doubt that Cameron would be willing to trade it for the sword. Sloane's involvement also cast doubt on Mike's allegiances. He was a soldier at heart and, when it came down to it, Chris didn't know if he would follow orders or side with Chris. On top of that was Stacy, who was still unaware of Cameron's identity and would be unlikely to believe it without solid evidence that he didn't have. It was a lot to consider.
