((Finally done with training, and the boyfriend closes tonight...maybe I can actually be around for an evening!))

Azana walked up to a table, her leg feeling sore but considerably better after a day of rest. In her hand was a mug of coffee...and while she hated the stuff, a certain dark-eyed genius looked like he needed it. "What's your deal?"

"Hm?" He asked, looking up to Azana before catching the scent of the coffee. "Oh, thanks..."
"Ah! First, you tell me what's got you so distracted," she said, holding it out of his reach.
"Just have a lot on my plate..." He answered, pulling off his glasses to rub at a tired eye.
"Not good enough," Azana muttered, sitting across from him. "I haven't seen you this tired...well, ever. So spill."
Max slid down the banister, hopping to a stop at the end. "Hello~, everyone!"

Tyler snatched the mug from Azana's hand, taking a long sip as she processed everything he had said. Max had listened in, of course, but she knew when information was to be private. She wouldn't tell a soul.

"Damn," Azana said at last, still blinking a bit in disbelief. "All that?"

"All that," he answered, pulling out what he had so far on his pet project. "I'm on a time crunch and I know it, so I've been working nonstop. This guy is good, but two heads are better than one, especially in this case."

"Sheesh, I get a boyfriend and start missin' all the interesting stuff!" Max complained quietly, looking it over in awe. "Have I ever told you you're full of win?"

"Remy!" Max greeted enthusiastically, dashing over before remembering that the sun had begun to set. This only slowed her slightly as she hugged him. "Look who's social!"

Azana chuckled, waving from her spot at the table. "Hey, Remy."

Tyler looked back at Remy, trying (and likely failing) to hide his fatigue from the vampire. "Been a while since I've seen you..."

Max giggled as she was tossed lightly (by vampire standards) into the air. No one had done that to her since she was little...she had forgotten how fun it was. "Missed ya!"

Tyler took a long sip of the coffee. "You're probably better off not knowing, but suffice to say that problems abound, and they're hitting close to home. Between that and Stacy...I've been a bit of a hermit."

"And I've just been practicing," Azana added with a grin. "Exams and all...though I need to help Sosol plan a birthday party..."

"I wanted to just waltz in, but I remember how my dad used ta get when someone woke 'im up...thought I'd wait on ya." Max smiled, looking over to the bar and taking note of Sosol's absence. Mention of a party, though, easily distracted her. "Oh, tell me! I can help!"

"She's part of the problem," Tyler muttered under his breath, covering it with another drink of coffee which drained the mug. He didn't mean there was trouble with her...on the contrary, he was incredibly happy with how things were turning out. Her dual relationship with Cameron, though, threw some wrenches into his gears, and having to keep that from her, while easy, didn't make it feel any better.

Azana chuckled. "Well, she's short, blond, works in the GMO office...and it's a bit of a big birthday for her."

"September 9th," Azana answered with a grin. "We're hoping to make it a big party, since she hasn't had one in a while..."

"That's something I can get behind," Tyler said, happy to be mildly distracted from his own problems.

"She's not legal yet? I thought she was, like, nineteen or somethin'. Guess it's how she talks." Max shrugged, giving Remy a light squeeze as the gears began to turn. Gifts, cake, music, decorations...there had to be something she could do!

Star nodded at Charlotte "ok" she took a quick bite of her sandwich.Then she got ready to play the game.

"Ohmigosh, no way!" Max said, running over to the pair getting ready to play. "Tell me there's a third controller!"

Tyler chuckled lightly before yawning. Despite the coffee, the time he had taken to decompress was reminding him exactly how tired he was.

Azana shook her head, looking to Remy. "There's room for four, right? Go for it."
