Charlotte scratched her chin. "Hmm...well, there's no guarantees what'll happen. maybe I'll stay short? Anyway, nothing wrong with this size. People swing you around, you can fit into small places...it's convenient!"
Gren chuckled. "Kinda sad I missed that; it sounds hilarious! At least they didn't give you trouble after that...did they?"

"Oh, I know all about that," she answered, a sly wink toward Remy. "Though, at least you know who to turn to when nothin' fits anymore." She chuckled, eying the cake with stars in her eyes.
"Well, they apparently called in the police...Stacy's out looking for him as we speak," Tyler replied, finishing his drink. "Otherwise, nothing they want is here...so why bother? It's not like we impeded them or anything..."
Of course, there's still the matter of Cameron and Excalibur...but what can I do to help that? Magic weaponry isn't exactly my forte.
Azana nodded. "If they don't find him, though...we might have some uncomfortable questions to answer."

Remy chuckled, draining his glass. "Well, since it's night time, I could give you both a good toss. Glad there's a high ceiling in here..."
"Really? Geez, you people are nice!" she beamed.
Gren smiled, passing Max a slice of cake with a friendly wink, spreading around the wealth. "Don't worry about questions, Azana. I'm good at those, should they come back."

((This has to be my last...but I'll be around all day tomorrow, unless I get something social to do.))
"B-but cake!" Max said, gesturing to the slice. "Hmmm...toss first, then cake. Don't wanna lose it, right?" She beamed, giving a cautionary "no touchie" glance around the table. Of course, there was a thought in her mind...how on Earth did someone shorten Charlotte?
Azana nodded. "Of course...until a couple days ago, I forgot you and Eli have more authority around here. Guess it never was an issue until now. I'll just chuck whoever you need me to."
"And if they're too heavy, I'll help," Sosol added with a smile. It was gentle enough, but strangely, he seemed serious about what he said. Some people just weren't welcome anymore...and something gave him the hunch that Cameron would soon turn into one of them.

(That's okay...I'll try to get back tomorrow, but I've been conscripted as a grunt, it seems... crying Sleep well!)
Remy laughed, hefting up the two girls, one in each hand. "Up, up, and away~!" He bounced them neatly, keeping them evenly in midair in a strange juggling routine
"Woooooo!"
Gren shrugged. "Eh, it's just a responsibility for living here. I wouldn't call it authority until I actually have to toss it around. But I appreciate that, believe me." he added, smiling to Sosol. "Can't have anyone wrecking up the place."

Kageko, meanwhile, watched with amusement from her seat until she felt a familiar sensation. Quietly, she slid out of the inn and into the refreshing night air. {I'll just run,} the girl assured as she began stretching, better safe than sorry when she had the chance, {Have fun with your errand, Yin, Yang.}
{Alright then,} the two imp-like creatures responded simultaneously before warping out.
After she was done with her stretches, Kageko walked a bit further out before taking a deep breath and then dashing off.

(Just a hint; we usually time skip when it's a new day unless something major to plot or storyline happened the day previous or everyone is tired~)
MacPere frowned to himself as he entered the inn, tie hanging loose around his neck. He was certain that Trent was the evil mastermind Chris described him to be; no normal businessman was that sharp and perceptive (except him, but he digressed).

Azana sat at a table, one leg crossed over the other as she flipped through the newspaper. Her brows furrowed as an article caught her eye...word traveled fast in Gaia, and now all of it knew that Chris was on the run. I hope this was part of your plan...your reputation's gonna be dragged through the mud at this rate.
Stella, surprisingly, was at the Inn, taking a day or two off before having to supervise the exams themselves. She was tired of hearing everyone's speculation and nervousness...the Inn provided a quiet haven from it all, the only person due this year being Azana herself.
Guess Eli must've done a good job...I haven't heard a single complaint yet. She glanced to the door as it open, letting a smirk cross her lips. "Speak of the devil..."

"Miss Stevenson... Good afternoon." He drifted over to the bar, expression flat as he removed various bottles from a crate he'd dropped in earlier in the week. Good whiskey was expensive... Luckily, he had a method of deterring any under-age drinking. "There wasn't a hiccup with my work, was there?"

"None at all," she answered with a smile. "Actually, from what I've seen so far, you did beautifully...I just had to get out of the office. A good quarter of our staff is due for exams, and I can only take so much discussion and speculation."
Azana looked up from her paper. "I know better than to try and pry," she said, explaining herself. "Besides, other things are on my mind. Oh...hi, by the way. Sorry; I've been horrible at greeting lately."
"That's not necessary," Stella said, glancing toward the kitchen as Sosol emerged from it, offering a friendly wave as he made his way to Azana's table with his lunch. "That's why there are two of you here." She redirected her attention to Eli, humming in thought. "I hope you've been keeping yourself out of trouble..."

MacPere merely smiled through Stella's explanation, tempted to ask if it would diminish her reputation, but not bothering. The woman had been through enough of his mouth. And teeth. And tongue...
"Keep myself out of trouble? Hah, highly unlikely..." he answered, emptying the whisky out into a pitcher and refilling the bottle with vinegar. "Grencia and I had a fight, businessmen are worse than I remember and my grey hairs are amassing to invade the left side of my cranium. How about you? Not working too hard, are we?"

Stella sighed, shaking her head with that same smile. "I should know better than to think that," she said, hearing Eli's summary of recent events. She was curious about the fight and his run-in, but there was little she could do about those.
"You know...I could help you with the third, at least," she said at last, a sly smile appearing as she looked up to him.
Azana folded the newspaper, smoothing out the crossword as she pulled out a pen. Anything to distract her from her many worries, things that she could do pretty much nothing about. All her batteries were already charged, and she and Sosol didn't have the courses booked for another hour or two...
I hate being stuck...
