"Yeah, like why you randomly drank liquid from a mysterious bottle," Kageko crossed her arms and sighed, "You must have drunk an imp potion." Yin quickly cut in front of Kageko, Ultima had started to casually walk towards Kageko and Yin didn't like that. She made a noiseless hiss and arched her tail. Kageko could tell that she was signaling, "Stay away."

Yin was pissed, she had heard what Ultima thought. "Don't lump me in with you!" she felt and bit Ultima, hard. "Yin!" Kageko shouted, exasperated, but Yin held on.

Ultima sweeped Yin to the wall with telekinesis. Relieved that he wasn't angry Kageko answered, "Her names Yin. I met her while I was gone for the week." She thought to herself, "Well, I did meet her when I made her," but her face didn't reflect her thoughts.
Out of the corner of her eyes she saw Yin. She was infuriated by now and she rose up her tail. Kageko could feel Yin gathering her energy, the energy that she was helping store. "Yin!" Kageko shouted, infuriated. She moved over to Yin so fast that all Ultima could see was an afterimage. She grabbed Yin with her right hand, the one with the brand, and made it known to her that, "Yin, you do not use that unless it's an emergency. Understand? And you definitely don't use it on my friends."
Kageko was grabbing her by the tail to prevent the energy from being released at Ultima. Instead she concentrated the energy back to Yin. It didn't hurt Yin, but she could tell that Kageko was serious. She settled back down. "Good," Kageko thought.
Yin started to argue, "But he...." Kageko cut her off, "You bit him...." Yin interrupted, "He was getting too...." Kageko reasoned, "Yin, he's my friend. You can't have me all to yourself...." Yin shot back, "I'm okay with others...." Kageko replied, "I know that's a lie...." Yin tried again, "How do you know if he wasn't going to attack...." Kageko was exasperated by now, "Yin, he's my friend. I trust him, please trust him as well. Oh, and try to get along with Popo."
Yin turned away irritated. Kageko sighed and motioned, "You can sit on my head." Yin looked, "Hmph!" but sat on Kageko's head nevertheless.
Kageko and Yin turned back to a very confused Ultima. They had bee conversing on an instinctive understaning of each other so he had absolutely no idea what was going on. "Oops," Kageko thought. "Serves him right," Yin thought.

Zefi woke up from the cold stone. She knew how she had fallen asleep and was mad at herself. She walked out back and went up the tree. She remembered the last time she had been in a tree. It had been with Zulma and the panther... that had been before she left. Zefi tried not to think about that. She gathered herself and sat straight on the branch. She would be 7 in a few hours. It was so early...

Zefi wondered what to do... She was in the tree and she could easily get out but what was she going to do. Zefi wondered about what would happen today. What did it signal to her? She wanted to talk to her friends and laugh and smile. She wanted to be happy but first she had to make others happy. That was her sole purpose now if she was going to be helpful. Zefi sat in the tree swinging her legs. "Happy birthday to me" She whispered to herself.

Zefi swayed in the tree. Why couldn't I just be a normal girl. Why couldn't I have baked cookies or something normal kids do. But even the thought of it made Zefi laugh to herself. She knew she didn't have the patience to bake or cook anything. Zefi just sat in the tree with a cold breeze on her face. She raised a hand to her hair. Her short short hair. Just 2 months ago it had gone all the way to her waist. She had cut it so when she sat in a tree... like now it wouldn't get stuck. Plus she had reasoned with herself, there wasn't time on the run to care for long hair. She missed the way she could braid it so long. She had pictures of her in the snow by the cottage before the incident. Zefi just thought of old things and old times past.

Ultima closed his eyes, becoming wise again. "Well, your friends sounds like they wouldn't care what you got them." He opened one eye and gave a warm smile. "Your only problem is the attire, if you don't want to show up looking like you normally do, which i think is fine, then buy a dress." He wouldn't know how this would turn out since he didn't know her friend.

Kageko was still worried. "Okay then...," she said, still not too sure. She was about to leave when a thought struck her, "Ultima is just as much of a friend to Zefi as I am. He should be allowed to wish her a happy birthday as well. But how do I do it w/o revealing...," she shook her head, "He's Zefi's friend. Zefi would want him there. I'm sure." She turned and said quickly, so she wouldn't be able to turn back, "Hey Ultima, can you head over N50 degrees for around 40 miles or so? There should be a castle around there. Could you check it out for me?" She then rushed out of the door into the forest. After going some distance she created a crack with her kunai, stepped through into her home, and checked to make sure the crack closed.
