There was hardly a sound as the dark shadow of D descended the stairs. His hat was missing, and dried blood was coated over the side of his face, though the wound had since healed. His dark eyes did a quick scan of the room before landing on Gren and MacPere.
The question was simple: "where is Angeles?"

"Angeles?" Azana asked, blinking at D's condition. "She stormed out of here hours ago...!"
Sosol stopped, turning back toward D's voice with a look of slight dread in his obscured eyes. The only times she goes without him...
"She's picking a fight," he said on instinct, even though he couldn't know where without reaching out for her. He walked past Gren and Eli, making his way back toward the main room while his mind raced. Where would she go? Who would she be after?
Max narrowly avoided being clocked with the strategy guide, looking down at it before tossing it away. "That's cheating!" She shot back, sticking out her tongue before Nate distracted her with snacks and drinks. "Sweet! Thanks, Nate!!"

Remy grinned, patting a close approximation of Nate's shoulder. "Thanks, pal!" He returned to paying attention to D.

D suddenly disappeared upstairs, moving back down with his sword in hand and flew outside, leaving the door open. He was on his horse in seconds. The metallic neigh of the horse broke the air as it reared up and then took off down the mountain, the back of D's coat flaring out behind him.

Sol watched as D dashed out of the Inn, leaving the door wide open.
"Don't you even think about it," Azana muttered to a quickly approaching Moonbeam, closing the door behind the dhampir. "Your guess is as good as mine, but I think he's heading out to herd Angeles back here."
"Those two...always in a hurry, always bickerin'. Ya'd think they were married!" Max said before popping a few M&M's into her mouth.
Sosol looked over at Tyler, who had somehow fallen asleep at the table, and ran a hand over his face. Of course...dammit, Angeles...you should know that Chris plans these things out by now! He thought, sighing as he walked over to shake the genius awake.
Stella simply had an amused smile on her face. "Well...glad to see some things simply don't change..."

Moonbeam gave Azana the flat glare of a feline thwarted.
"It's what friends do, isn't it?" commented Remy, hitting Amy the ghost with the Hook Shot. "Besides, those two have a hard time showing how they care. Maybe that's from years of hard living, I dunno...but if you're talking to someone, even if it's a fight, it shows they mean something to you."
Gren smiled at the squeeze, returning it with his own bear hug. "Someone want a bit of chocolate strawberry cake?"

"That sounds perfect about now..." He sighed, releasing his husband and allowing him to retrieve the cake, wherever it may be stored. "Gren... I'm sorry for shouting over something so pathetic."

"Yeah..." Max said before giggling madly at the thought of D in a tux. It turned into full-out laughter when the adjoining thought of Angeles in a wedding dress joined her mental menagerie.
Tyler jumped awake at Sosol's shaking, his hand instinctively reaching for the smartphone in his pocket before he blinked. "Oh...hey, Sol."
"Hi, Tyler...before you ask, you missed D storming out after Angeles, who I think is on her way to meet Cameron," he summarized, gauging his reaction. "Can I get you something to drink?"
"...yes, please," he answered, wondering if Chris made room in his plan for Angele's protective nature and outrageous temper.
Azana sighed, walking back to have a short chat with Stella...while she couldn't get any details about exams, maybe she could find out what's been happening at HQ...

Gren tilted his head, curious. "So they told you what gets to me, huh? Heh...fun way to get rid of the needles, too." He smiled gently, petting his husband's cheek. "It's all right, love. I'm just glad I didn't hit you or anything through that. Just...never do that again, okay?"
