Protoman was bored as hell. "OK, the boredom is starting to kill me, anyone wanna fight or is there SOMETHING I can do to help?", Protoman said.

"Hang on!"

MacPere pat Charlotte to let her know that he was standing, legs slowly strolling him over to the door where Alex stood. "You, young lady, are going to get your arse whooped." He reached beneath the collar of his shirt, producing a chain, and calmly unfastened it, the delicate pendant hanging in the air as he held it out.

"At least with this, any serious damage inflicted will be absorbed..." He reached around, fixing the chain around Alex's neck. "Fenyx gave it to me. Comes in handy, I can tell you..." Once finished, he gave the girl's cheek a gentle pat before strolling back to his seat to talk schools.

"So?" asked Alex stopping to look at MacPere. She was a normal human being going up against a machine who could turn his right arm into a laser canon. She knew she was going to lose.

When he put the necklace around her neck though she almost froze to the spot, moving only to look down at the pendant as MacPere fastened it and explained what it was for. He touched her cheek then went back to what he was doing.

Alex didn't move for a bit as if her body had shut down before she followed protoman out the door, murmuring something under her breath.

With a bright flash, Chris and Crystal materialized in the center of the room. The others looked up from their drinks at the bar.

"Good. You're all here. We have a lot of work to do. Wait here."

He went upstairs to his room, finding Excalibur right where he left it. He came back downstairs, turning to Tyler. "Rumors of my death, if there were any, are greatly exaggerated. How did things hold up on this end?"

"Teleportation is a basic trick amongst my people," Crystal said, holding up her device.

"I am most definitely letting you have some fun. I can handle Omega. His cover is blown, though. That means two things. First, it means he doesn't have to be careful anymore. No more sidestepping to keep his ID under wraps. Secondly, it means he's desperate. He knows the laundry list of charges against him and he'll do whatever it takes to avoid it. He's going to come at us with everything he can, so we need to be ready."

"Well you know me, dude. I'm with you 110%."

"When he comes here, you save me a piece. Cameron may have been a friend, but I owe Omega for a world of hurt he's put us through and I intend to take it out of his hide."

"As long as I get to crack a few skulls, especially Trent's, count me in."

"Okay. Here's what we know. Omega will need time to gather his troops. That gives us at least a day, maybe more, to prepare. Tyler, I need a gauntlet. I want anything you can use to slow him down. Get James to help you if you can drag him out of the lab. He'll be coming here by way of Durem, most likely, which runs right by Central. That's where we can have our first confrontation. Az, I'm counting on you, Sol and Max for that. You probably won't be able to stop him, but you can thin out his troops. Max, the computers at Central will allow you to access our defense network. That should help even the playing field."

Chris turned to his team. "He'll come here. He still wants Excalibur and he'll do anything he can to get it. We'll intercept at the edge of the forest. Once he sees me, he'll come after me and try to grab the sword. He's mine. I'll deal with him. I need you four to handle any troops who survive Max's onslaught. Everybody clear on the plan?"

((I'm babysitting the nieces tomorrow. It was necessary to formulate an alibi.))

The other Knights nodded their agreement, showing full faith in their fearless leader.

"Good. For now, though, the first order of business is to get some sleep. It's been a stressful couple of days for all of us and we need to be rested and refreshed for what's coming. I'll see you all later. Good night." He took Crystal's hand and led her up to their room. Mike and Jake went up to the room they shared. Stacy walked over to Tyler, giving him a warm hug and a sweet kiss before departing for her own room. Any other night, she would have invited him to join her. She was in a foul mood, however, and feared she wouldn't be good company. She needed time to wrap her head around this new information.

Emily led Charlotte downstairs, both wearing the best draped finery as a thrift store could provide, a small troop of chibis toting a plastic tea set. Finding a nice table to set up at, the pair began a tea party.
