Emily toddled around, placing plush toys into the open chairs, setting up tea sets for each of them. "We're having a party because it's Bunny's birthday."
Charlotte leaned over, muttering "Bunny's the t-rex, by the way." She winked, smiling. "Having fun, Dad?"

"Well, I'm sorry, but I forgot a present for Bunny... Happy birthday~" He took another sip of his imaginary tea, almost sputtering at Charlotte's comment. "I am indeed, thank you..."

Charlotte giggled. "Didn't mean to spook you, for any reason...but if you're her daddy, or so she says, than that makes sense, right? I want to nickname you, but want to keep it respectful."
"Bunny likes kisses, Daddy. Give her a kiss!" Emily held up the plush toy, who'd been adorned in fake pearls.
Gren sighed, relaxing on his couch a moment. Whatever was going on, it was crowded...he'd hunt for his husband in a moment. If he wasn't feeling social, he certainly wasn't downstairs.

Gren poked his head out, and, finding nothing to impede him, began his playful hunt.

A knock on the door came, three times, and Gren poked his head in. "There you are...what's up?"
"Daddy!" Emily ran over. "You forgot your party hat!"
"Eh?"
"Your party hat. Get with it, man!"
Gren blinked. "I'm sorry, Emmy. I must have forgotten. Have you got a spare?"
Emily nodded, and ran over to her dress-up chest, producing a lolita maid's head ruffle. "Here! Wear this!"
"...All right, Emmy." He smiled sheepishly, tying it on and sitting on a tiny chair. He smiled to his husband. "Afternoon, love."
