"Stella," Tyler said simply as he hit the final few keys. If DECCA was right, he had just taken out considerably more than he had originally figured. Of course, they were more densely packed than he thought, as well, making the traps simply that more effective.

Well, it's up to you now, Stacy...

Stella nodded. "Excuse me," she said to Charlotte as she walked back to her circle, tossing the key to the chaos weaver. "Downstairs, hard to miss. Just in case." With that taken care of, she took a seat again.

She focused, the sigils around her glowing faintly as she reached out to the Sanctuary spell that hummed around the Inn. It was a careful connection, one that may have taken a bit too long in the witch's own opinion, but she let out an inaudible gasp as she felt it align with her.

Alright...have to be able to let things out...Gren, you better make it count...I'm not sure how long the exception will last!

Charlotte hummed, dangling the golden key in front of her face. "Hmm...pretty!" An activation key, and entry key, a skeleton key! "Being Innkeeper has perks, I see."

Hayabusa sat in silent thought, until he felt fire burst to life. He stood up and greeted the first thing he'd met in the plains of torment. "Kiba!" The cerberus was in his humanoid shape so he didn't crush the inn. "Ultima! I expected to find you here, why aren't you in Yamato?" Hayabusa shrugged and laughed. "This place is very important to me, more so than my own home because this is the first home I knew, oh, and just call me Hayabusa, please." Kiba smiled "warmly" and took a seat in the center of the inn. "Fine, I'm gonna guess that's your real name..." Kiba laughed, perigrene falcon was an interesting enough name. "Yeah, it is, and I have to use that name instead of Ultima since I'm important to the people of back at my real home." Kiba looked at the unwieldy scythe he was carrying. "That explains a whole lot, you don't really steal souls right?" It was Hayabusa's turn to laugh. "Nope, soul stealing isn't what made me strong so I don't need it, you can sleep soundly knowing I won't eat your essence, I don't even know how." He continued to laugh. "H-hey, it's not my fault for being cautious...any raw meat around?" Kiba's ravenous appeitite was almost as bad as Hayabusa's.

Tyler blinked at the two, having no idea who the two of them were...though the fiery one seemed familiar somehow. "Erm...there might be some in the freezer, but I'm guessing you'll want to thaw it," he answered, shaking his head at the distraction. Then again, what was he looking for? His gauntlet was exhausted, doing more than its fair share of work, and he wasn't running out to get caught in the crossfire.

His gaze turned back to Stella, who sat in deep focus, the ring of sigils around her maintaining their soft cerulean glow. Magic wasn't his forte, nor, in some ways, was being moral support...

Charlotte blinked, stunned at this new set of people. "Don't smudge the circle!"

D looked over as the two appeared and a dark look came into his eyes looking at the one called Hayabusa. The silver blur said that trouble was on the way, it was best to get into position He moved to the door and paused. If Angeles awoke during the fight, then she would most likely come to help. He had used the parasite to send her consciousness into a deep darkness, but Angeles was a strong woman, she may be able to pull out of it sooner than he wanted.

He glanced around and wondered who he should appoint the task of keeping her in her room.

"Hm," Tyler smirked, standing to get himself something to drink. So D was going to help, after all...that was good. He wasn't bad in a fight, but he definitely preferred to have his tech do most of the dirty work for him. Charlotte...well, he hadn't seen her in action, but she had impressed Protoman, and that said plenty. The new pair met with mixed receptions, though he could have sworn he heard the name "Kiba" somewhere...

Walking back to his table and laptop with a mug of coffee, his eyes fell on Stella again. She probably didn't enjoy being stared at, he knew, but there wasn't much he could provide as encouragement except that irksome knowledge that he was still around and making sure the circle stayed intact.

Stella twitched slightly in her focused trance, feeling others' gazes. She wasn't alone...but she was the only one among them who could keep this up. She wasn't going to let them down.

D sighed, no one was fit enough to do what he wanted. Maybe he should tie her to the bed.

"Kinky," snorted the parasite and D clenched his left hand tightly. He would just have to hope that she remained unconscious. If she came to fight, he'd put her out again. With this in mind D stepped out of the inn, shutting the door behind him.

"You won't be able--oh, screw it," Tyler muttered after trying to warn the dhampir. Once he left the sanctuary's radius, the only way back in would be after the all-clear was called, or if Stella ran out of energy to continue her work. Either way, he'd find out himself...

Minimizing the window of his gauntlet, he brought up a game and began to play to pass the time. He had no doubts that everything would work out...but it did bug him a little that he was stuck there waiting...

After visiting Gren, MacPere decided that he merely remained in the way of everyone's task, not possessing any special skill within the art of war. He was a terrible shot, as proven through his trials with Angeles, none too skilled with a knife either. Perhaps it was the motivation of possessing a fiance and foster daughter in danger that made him behave in such a manner.

"Yeah, sure..." He murmured to himself, lazily browsing the web from a sofa within the apartment. "The entire inn is at risk and you can't channel some of that vigour. Pathetic man."

Tyler blinked at a notice on his screen. With a smirk, he began to type a message to MacPere:

In the mood for a status report?

Stella visibly shuddered as D walked out of her sanctuary radius, not expecting something the size of a person (let alone of D's stature) to take advantage of her one-way alteration. It wavered momentarily, but she steeled herself again, knowing that something as simple as a single shot could change everything.

Tutting at the screen as Pacman lost his third life, MacPere replied with an intrigued hum.

Go ahead, sunshine. Nothing too bad?

Charlotte sighed, laying on a love seat. There was joy in potential energy, but none in stagnation. She quietly generated a few brightly colored frogs to keep herself amused. "Tyler, how are things on the front?"
PostPosted: Fri Sep 03, 2010 11:13 am

The exact opposite, actually... Tyler answered, chuckling a little to himself as he broke it down:

Initial Numbers: 301
Remaining After Power Central: 201
Entered the Gauntlet: 152
Currently Facing Knight Team 3: 50

P.S. ...sunshine?

As he sent the message, he pointed to the screen to Charlotte's question. "That robotic number-cruncher bumped our chances of success up by 50%...300 lackeys are down to 50, and they have eight Knights to deal with."

The figures caused MacPere to blink disbelief and check again.

Are you serious? Good Lord... Maybe I should join Gren on the roof. Though, honestly, my sniping is extremely shoddy at best.

Sunshine? Oh, well, that is because you are such a bundle of joy. <3
