"No, thank you...Nate has been keeping us well-stocked downstairs. He's probably just as anxious as the rest of us..." Tyler said with a wave of his hand. Most of them had reason to be...except for D or Charlotte. Maybe Stella, as well...she seemed very calm when he departed.

Stella flinched slightly, feeling the breach before the spell, doubled with the angel's heavenly energy, immediately patched it, forbidding the intruder entry.
Someone's inside?! My barrier is flawless, unless...have they been here the whole time?
Tyler left the room, waving a friendly farewell to MacPere as he shut the door behind him. As he went to check on Charlotte and the others, he heard noises coming from upstairs, and they weren't sniper fire.
"What the hell...?" He wondered aloud before grumbling under his breath, making his way back toward the apartment. The angel could protect Stella; if whatever was going down on the roof leaked in, he'd have to be ready.

Charlotte blinked, tilting her head slightly. "Hm... is something going on, I wonder..?" She snapped her fingers. He could do the dirty work.

Tyler heard Max's message from his phone and gave a respectful nod. Gotta love it when a good plan comes together... He thought, shaking his head at a loud rumble from above. Hopefully that would get sorted out soon, too.
Stella could vaguely hear the message in her trance, but given the second assault on her spell, she chose to keep it up regardless, waiting for a true all-clear.

Charlotte beamed with a giggle. "All clear, all clear! Thank goodness for that, we're all clear~" she sang, skipping a happy dance. "I'm going outside for a look-see!"

Tyler came downstairs to see Stella still sitting in the middle of that softly glowing circle, the angel's hands on her shoulders as they channeled the energy through. "Stella, it's over...they're going to want in."
"Not until I know it is safe," Stella replied, her voice strangely steady, the circle glowing brighter for a moment before dying down to its normal level.
"Omega's been defeated. The soldiers are leaving...whoever is causing trouble up there would think twice considering the army of heroes that will be heading back shortly..." Tyler said, though he knew he'd get nowhere...that stubbornness the cousins shared and all.

Gren strolled downstairs as Charlotte ran out with a giggle. "Hey, Tyler, Stella...you hear the good news? It's all over, and we won!" He smiled casually. "And sorry for the noise."

"I heard," Tyler answered with a smile of his own. "So, the nuisance on the roof has been taken care of, then?"
At the sound of Gren, who she knew had been stationed on the roof. She took a deep breath, releasing the spell and breaking the connection between herself and the angel. The sudden drop in energy made her dizzy, and she found herself wavering until she put out a hand to steady herself against the floor.
"Thank you," she muttered, lifting her eyes to the angel. "That was...wow..."

"More or less...he got away, but he shouldn't be much of a problem." Gren replied, fetching an apple from a fruit bowl. "Didn't have a thing to do with any of the problems you guys were dealing with, so it's all good."
He rinsed the apple, dried it on his shirt (his jacket being covered in dust), and brought Stella a glass of water. "You feeling all right?" he asked gently, concerned. "You did us all a huge favor..."

"I'm fine," Stella reassured him, taking a sip of water as she relaxed on the cushion, her slippers smudging the circle as she shifted position. "I had quite a bit of help. I'm just, well, not used to channeling that much...so having it all leave was a bit disorienting."
"All that's left is the clean-up," Tyler said, smudging a bit more of the circle. "I'll have to get on that..."

Gren nodded. "I mean that, though. You saved a lot of trouble back there." He tried to stifle a yawn, and eventually failed. "Mmmm...it's been a long day. I'm heading to bed." He rubbed Stella's back briefly with a smile. "You two take care. I'll help clean up in the morning, so leave something for me, okay?"
With that, Gren strolled up the stairs to his expectant husband and a warm bed. It'd been a long, strange day.

"Good night, Gren," Stella said, waving to him as he left.
"I'm not sure you want that, but I'll do what I can," Tyler said before waving the musician off as well. As Gren vanished, his gaze turned to Stella again. "Your turn, now."
"Wait, what?" Stella asked, blinking. "B-but...I'm not tired at all! I just got the supercharge of a lifetime!"
"And you've been sitting in the same spot worrying about us all day. Don't make me carry you."
"You wouldn't dare." She glared up at him, finding no sign of wavering in his body language.
"You should know better than to dare me."
"...good night, Tyler," Stella snarled, standing up and storming off upstairs, leaving the markings and the cushion on the floor.
"Yep...still got it," Tyler said with a chuckle, picking up the cushions to set them back in the sofas from which they came...
