D did not react save to bend down to one knee to be on her level. The proximity did not faze him. His only reaction was his hand moving to the edge of the table to grip the edge as he felt his energy get drained. When Xei let him go, D stood up as if nothing had happened and silently turned back to his table.

He moved and sat down, pulling out two red pills and swallowing them without ceremony and lightly closing his black eyes.

Angeles chuckled at the 'dummy-slap' comment but then gave the egg a firmer whack and heard it crack. She moved it over the bowl and looked at it before she carefully picked at the hole. She then turned it over and watched the golden yolk slide through the hole and plop into the bowl.

"M-hm!" Max answered with a smile. "It's amazing what a good laugh and a few chats can do."

"Nothing tomorrow, I assume?"
"Luckily, no. I'll be here for Skuld's party...how are we doing this? Surprise?"
"...surprise an Oracle?"
"I've done it to you once or twice."
"Can't guarantee it'll work on her, but we can try..." Sosol said as he continued to hang balloons and streamers. "Think you could pull off a glamour on this when I'm done?"
"Of course, hon," Azana answered, giving him a kiss. "Stella's in on all this, right?"
"Yep...she's sending her over on 'assignment'."

"That's good to hear...I bet that job you pulled off the other night's going own in internet legend!"

"S'right." Gren handed over the whisk. "Stir it ten times, Emily."

"Sure thing, sugarplum, but I want to make sure Mommy gets a turn too." he said warmly, taking up the whisk when she was finished, handing it to Angeles. "Your turn!"

Angeles smiled and took the whisk, stirring the batter ten times before handing it back to Emily. The girl took it and began to stir quickly, giggling happily.

Remy looked a bit sheepish. "Y-yeah...not very exciting, but at least Emily was safe...right? Besides, it wouldn't have been much fun if I were there...a few animal swarms and there'd be no use in the plans."

Gren watched patiently. "Okay, it's mixed...let's add some more stuff, then we can mix it again." He poured some vanilla extract into a measuring spoon, handing it to Angeles. "Pour that in...and Emily..." he added, handing her a cup of flour, "You put that in."

"But Remy~...there were explosions, and fireballs and lightning! It was like I was watchin' an action film!" Her bright blue eyes gazed up at him excitedly. "I'm never gonna get a chance like that again...shoulda taped it or somethin'."

Tyler shook his head as he listened to Max's version of the story. It had taken GMO agents a couple days, but the forest path had been thoroughly cleaned, the traps returned either to the lab or his personal storage. What had been an action film for Max was horror to him...which was perfectly fine by his standards.

"I'm not sure if I got to show you last night," Azana said as Sosol stepped down off the ladder, digging in her pocket and producing her new license.

"That's great! You weren't really worried about that one, though, were you?" He asked, withholding his opinion about the picture. They never seemed to turn out properly...

"It felt a little odd without a passenger," Azana admitted with a loving smile, "but I was pretty sure I'd figure it out."

"But I didn't have my camera run--camera!!" Inspiration struck Max, the technicolor hacker snapping her fingers before glancing back toward Tyler.

"What did I do now?" Tyler asked, feeling her gaze on him. "Wait, no...what do you need this time? That's the better question."

"Power Central has security cameras! Could we make a copy of the feeds, ya know, for the memories?" Max asked before adding, with as pitiful of an expression as she could create. "Pleeeeeeeeease?"

Tyler laughed, both at the expression and the somewhat odd request. "I wouldn't be surprised if Chris wanted a copy, too...it was pretty epic..."

"AWESOME!!" Max exclaimed victoriously, throwing a fist to the air. "Wait 'til my buddies see this!"
