	welp finnaly moved out of springfield. thank god!!!!!!!!!! im now living in conover with my brother and his wife. plus a hole lot of other people. well im going to try to be on gaia more now. hopefully i dont get to busy with try to get grant to unoh( university of northwestern ohio) well im going to go do other stuff so peace biggrin

	LilChibiusa As long as we're sharing stuff, here is a song that my brother and his friend wrote. Those two dream of being the next Daft Punk, and I think they're off to a pretty good start if you compare their work to Daft Punk's first album, Homework. I have no idea why the comments are disabled. I think it's some type of error. It's pretty catchy, actually. I know a few people who'd love it. I'm glad it's not rap xD

	I don't think it's the guild so much as the transitory nature of having interest in gaia as a whole. Honestly I find my interest in this site to be like the tide, and low tide lasts longer and longer every time. Apart from that, life just seems to happen. A (regularly occuring) member drive would seem appropriate. Also to Emphasize the "grown up" idea of the guild, maybe a current events and serious discussion sub-forum would be appropriate? Just throwing it out there. Also, good stuff from your brother.

	I have mixed feelings about the idea of discussing current events, but that's because I'm a chicken. rofl It's a good idea, and it might help draw people into the guild. Personally, though, the thought of regularly discussing politics makes me break into a cold sweat. burning_eyes Most of the time I avoid political debates (my few posts in last year's thread on public health care were waaaaaaaaaaaay outside my comfort zone), because I don't like heated discussions. (I have participated in heated discussions irl, but they get me all upset...) I was also very quiet in my graduate classes whenever the topic of discussion veered over to controversial stuff. But that's just me. Like I said, maybe it will get other adults over here. And maybe in the "serious" area, we could also have a Life Issues discussion, like the forum (relationship discussions, etc.) but just among us guildies. For other topics (in the interest of expanding our discussions and maybe broadening our appeal), maybe we could have a recipe-sharing thread (an idea I shamelessly got from that guild that invited a bunch of us and then banned us a couple of weeks later). Oh, and I would love to see threads where we talk arts and crafts, and post pics of our latest projects. (Again, I know there's a Textiles and Crafts thread in the Gaia forums--I'm a frequent lurker and once-in-a-blue-moon poster over there--but I would love to see what everybody in the guild is doing in that area.) Finally, a couple of suggestions of just-for-fun stuff: More (and more publicized) guild events, even if it's just for little stuff (I wanted to do some Mardi Gras games last week, but I kept forgetting to ask Chibi! blaugh ), and maybe some more roleplaying stuff. Oh, and I totally agree with Scythe's idea about having regular member drives. 3nodding

	I still have that advertisement thread up in the guild forums. We could keep bumping that. I would like to do bigger guild events to keep interest up, but it's kind of expensive and time consuming as it is. I think I can manage something for St. Patrick's Day thanks to the donation we had. @Alvinette - We've tried roleplaying in this guild from the time it opened, and we only ever really had one successful RP, and that was for an event. (Does anyone remember the Haunted Fairgrounds?) xd As you know, I'm a host for the 9th Annual Ball this year, and I think we have a spot for you if you would like to join us. G-Fire is already working with me. Political discussions can be heated, but I always enjoy them. I like testing my wit with other people's. It's not so much of being right or wrong with me as much as being able to prove your point effectively. People keep telling me I should be a lawyer. rofl (I have considered that btw, and the jobmarket is terrible for them right now.) There are other issues that we can discuss that aren't' so political. The tsunami in Japan is a perfect example. It's terrible of me to think this, but my first thought upon seeing the damage on tv was, "I hope that my favorite j-drama actors are okay, and I hope that this doesn't mess up production on any animes or j-dramas." sweatdrop Yeah, I know... I feel like a bad person for even thinking that. xp

	I was thinking about the actors too, actually. I'm not too worried about production of TV shows, though, since pretty sure that as cleanup, etc. starts, TV show production will resume. Also--not trying to sound terrible here either--I think that people in Japan might want more entertainment/escape type stuff to help keep their minds off of all the terrible things that have happened because of the earthquake and tsunami. I'm just hoping and praying that the death tolls aren't higher than the record says now. And...yeah, the whole debate thing is one of the reasons why I DON'T want to be a lawyer. Put me in a library or archives any day!

	I just set up the thread for a St. Patrick's Day game. I'm not doing a full-blown event, but one thread is better than nothing at all. I just have to line up the prizes for it, and then I will move it to the lobby. We had a very kind donation to guild mule, so we have gold for prizes! heart

	Well, I liked your cute little intro, Chibi! 4laugh As for conversations and stuff...I dunno. It is spring break season, so maybe that's part of it. And sometimes there's just life stuff that keeps people away from their computers for a little while. I dunno. I have been babysitting two kids all day, and SURPRISE! One of them has a stomach virus and has been throwing up! (Which I didn't find out until I walked in the door.) I was offered the choice to go home, but I decided to stay because I knew the kids' dad needed to go to work. But the first thing I did when I came home a little while ago was take a bath and get all the sick germs off me! I don't want to get a stomach virus!! crying /rant And no, I'm not planning on babysitting sick kids anymore. I have a weak stomach myself. burning_eyes blaugh
