"Perhaps," Kristen said, disappearing into the kitchen for a moment while she made use of Charlotte's machine. She emerged with another steaming mug, making her way back to the seat. "However, locking down like they appear to have done accomplishes very little when the enemy is within. Either way, I do not recommend allowing any of us to be without company...that is always when these seem to occur."
To Zulma's concern, Kristen looked to her with an unsettling calm. "I was unharmed, Azana recovered as usual, and Gren aided James. Everything is well, Miss Zulma. Please relax."

(SOrry it's been forever I lost the net an went through alot of emotional crap...)
Xei wandered in the Inn door, crimson hues dim an lowered to the floor, lithe frame moving in thought as the Siren worked her way to the bar an sat down, resting her chin in a pale hand, silver tendrils draping about her slender shoulders in loose waves.

Zulma sighed of relief at Kristen.
"Well I am glad that everyone is doing fine."
She took a seat next to them.
"Do you mind if I join?" she was already sitting.
She smiled at Gren.
"I'd love one." Since the pregnancy she had become much more selfish than she really was and that pissed her off...except when she was doing it.
Her attention turned to a new comer.
She asked Kristen. "Who is that person?"
She really did not know anyone anymore.

"Of course. Anything for you." he hummed, standing. "That's Xei, a siren." he added, strolling into the kitchen, soon returning with a mug of tea, warm to drink, not too hot to burn the tongue, a spoon of honey already in.

"That woman goes by the name of Xei. She is a siren, usually with a sprite named Bo and a rather obese cat named Lek for her companions. Obviously, Moonbeam disapproves of the latter," Kristen explained, happy to see Zulma relieved. There was no reason to get her worked up, especially as far along in the pregnancy as she seemed.
James watched Xei carefully as she walked by, a sly smile on his face.
"Siren," Azana said simply as she took a sip.
"Man...you just have to ruin it for me, don't you?" James frowned, looking over at her. He could see it now, he guessed, but she was gorgeous.
"Better now than when she starts singing, right?"

"Murr," Baldur gave a stern face before following after Zulma. He stopped when the door opened and looked to the side as Angeles and D walked in. Bladur glowered for a bit before his eyes opened in surprise. He could not find the words to say as a very human Angeles looked up and smiled at him. She was scarred and bandaged, a bit dirty and her clothes were in disarray, but she was very much alive.
She looked from Baldur to Zulma and took her turn to freeze in surprise.
D, unscathed, shut the door and walked past all towards the corner of the room and sat down silently.

Howard had been listening for a while to the conversation, listening for a chance to jump in and escape Albee's pestering. He heard something about protocols. Last time he got involved in something that sounded top-secret and spy-agenty he ahd ended up in a Juvie camp. That was a memory he wasn't quite so fond of. Though it had made him very handy with shanks and baseball bats.
I wonder if this is a conversation I should be jumping into...
"So, do you swell up like a balloon? Does your head look like a watermelon without the green stuff?"
I'm gonna cook something. Yeah, that'll work.

Howard left Albee in the inn and retreated to the comfort of a kitchen. The dirty dishes looked so good right now. A good old bar of soap and some running water got him started, suds soon accumulating in the sink. It was a change in plans, but this was cool, too.
------
Albee sat alone in the Inn as Howard deserted.
"Hmm. Guess the doctor isn't fond of his allergies."
The child noticed the siren as she entered, becoming entranced. But after a moment, he shook his head.
Miss Charlotte is prettier, for sure.

"A siren? This Inn is the upmost amazing place!" The Innkeeper laughed.
"Thank you Gren." she took the mug and a sip, smiling at the taste of honey.
She was about to ask about MacPere when the door opened and Angeles appeared...human!
Zulma blinked and almost bumped her cup down as she stood up to rush to Angeles.
She wrapped her arms around the woman.
"My oh my, Angeles. I barely recognized you!" she was all smile.

"I'll take it by the smile and your disarray that it went well?" Sosol asked as the two came in, Angeles being stopped relatively quickly by Zulma's embrace.
"Rock on, Angeles," Azana commented with a short laugh. Did she ever mention it felt good to have someone else who could come in looking like that and smiling?
"Angeles? But I thought she was--"
"Keyword, 'was'," the operative interrupted with a smile.

No it wasn't. She was just saying something about herself. Why was he getting so worked up...?

Albee made his thinking face.
"Ah! Maybe I'm allergic to carbonated juice and soda! Doctor won't let me have those."
