"Ramek...is it that time already?" Sosol asked, checking and seeing that it was, indeed, that time where the two mysteriously switched. "It's the same body...are you sure you want to tax it that much?"
"I don't put much in there, actually...just a few drops. You've got a really good sense of taste, Howard..." At his comment about his limbs, though, he got somewhat nervous. "Don't push yourself..."
Azana watched their reactions, a sly smile on her face. She hadn't ordered one, and she knew better than to do so at that point. Two Rhapsodies was all it took...

Just go ahead and kill it with vinegar, or side it with a... bottle of vinegar." Ramek said, clearly pointing out that more than just the looks were put into opposite contrast.

"Don't worry, I'm... hmm."
Howard's head tipped forward as the rest of the drink caught up with him. He started to sob.
"I'm sorry, Albee..."
The doctor burst into tears, pushing the goblet aside.
"I'm a horrible father..."

Sosol slid the goblet's remainders over toward Ramek. "Loophole," he explained, fishing around for a box of tissues. He hadn't seen anyone react this way to the drink...to have all this come forward now...
"Oh, don't even start," Azana said, her mostly-emptied glass coming with as she approached. "You care about Albee, and it shows, even if ya are a little heavy-handed. I was raised by my uncle, and he was a total a**..."
Kristen chuckled, standing and giving a nod of farewell before retreating to her room...perhaps being the early bird wasn't so bad, after all.

Ramek made the remainders of Pandemonium disappear as he guzzled the last of the drink down. Tiredness hit him, and it hit him hard. "I'm gonna head to bed. I'll be sure to clean when I get up. Night all."

"IT'S TRUUUUEEE!!!"
Howard let himself fall slowly onto the table, wailing out the last word as he fell.
"I'm so silfish wen it comes to that boy. I should've done some sh*t like wish he was a normal boy er whutnot with my last wish. BUT NOOOOOO!!!"
The doctor became nearly inconsolable, whimpering quietly as he slunk down, lying flat on the floor. It was as if there was no real effects of inebriation besides his sudden sensitivity.

"Do you love him?" Azana asked, a moment of lucidity. "He seems to be completely enamored with you as a father figure..."
Sosol grinned, cleaning the glasses as he listened to the pair discuss. Hopefully Howard would make it upstairs alright...

"Love him? LOVE HIM?!"
Howard turned to the small sleeping boy, watching his chest inflate and deflate. He became quieter, though he was clearly on the verge of tears.
"I... yes. I love him."
He scratched a tear out of his eye with the arm he could still move.
"Before that boy, I was a homeless bum who was dangerous with a baseball bat and happened to know how to cook. But Albee... he..."
A torrent of tears streamed down his face as the corners of his mouth curved ever so slightly.
"...He gave me someone to cook for."
Howard froze again. His eyes, still full of tears, went blank as his head fell forward again.
"oooooooooooOOOOWWW."
When the doctor raised his head again, he seemed to be his normal self: A scowl across his face like a purposeful smear and grit in his eyes. He turned his head from side to side to crack his neck.
"That's some potent stuff there, Sol-sa. Could've used just a splash of sherry, but I prefer sherry with everything anyway."
He walked over to Albee and hoisted the boy over his shoulder like a sack of rice, making his way to the stairs.
"Well, two people with drinking problems need to go ahead and catch some shuteye. Thank you, Sol-ster, for the drink and the first headache I've gotten from a drink in years."
He went up to their room, and this time set Albee sitting against the bed, claiming the large spread of bed for his own.
I don't take too well to being hung over...
He didn't even bother with the sheets as he sprawled himself over the entire mattress, and simultaneously started snoring with the blue genie.

Charlotte blinked, taking in these events in turn. Well. Pointing to the former vampiress, she said simply "Wolfy's under my jurisdiction, no worries. He pinky-swore not to cause trouble, and that stuff's serious! Don't just go around saying you're gonna kick people out for trying to take care of their friends! He might not do it your way, but he's not making a fight."
As for Albee, well...she had a few things to tell the poor boy herself.
Gren sipped his tea with a sigh. Moments like this made the trip to Mars all the more appealing.

It was Albee's turn to wake up first this time. Howard slept in an awkward position, rump sticking in the air and face in the pillow. But asleep, nonetheless. Albee quietly slipped into his casual shirt and pants and went back downstairs to find that it was, in fact, still the night before. He saw as Charlotte reprimanded the woman in the large hat and stood next to her, pouting.
"Yeah, and no one breaks a promise to Miss Charlotte! Or else they answer to me!"
The child stuck a leg up in the air, trying to make a fearsome kung fu position, but failing and falling on the floor. He rubbed his head as if he was about to cry, but broke into a bright smile.
"I'm okay!"

Albee cocked his head.
"What do you mean?"
Aside from a warmth in his chest and cheeks, he felt fine.
"Do you mean my allergies to carbonated juice?"
The child became frightened.
"Did I have a bad reaction to the carbonated juice? DID I DIE?"
He realized that he had awoken in his room when he had just been drinking with Charlotte.

Albee laughed.
"Yeah, considering my home life."
He smiled as he thought about what he said.
"But we don't really live anywhere, so what does that make what I have? Travelling life? Adventuring life? Ooh, I like adventure! That sounds cooler."
Albee proceeded to make laser sounds as he shot at unknown objects.
"I could become one of those Zurg thingies! One of those, umm.. Elians!"
(( I'm going to take a shower real quick. Cleanliness is kinda cool, someone tells me. ))
