He neatly slit some pages from the pad and got up, handing them to Remy.
"I'm tryin' to draw a detective costume, like Sherlock Holmes. 'cuz Charlotte said she likes Sherlock Holmes and I like Sherlock Holmes and it'll work okay?!"
Albee worked himself up as he talked. But as he finished his sentence, he took the last page in the pad and sat in a seat next to Remy.
"Come to think of it, I haven't really written anything to Charlotte before. I should try that. Thank you, color lady!"

Laura nodded along to Tyler's explanation, constructing a sufficient ham salad sandwich and cutting it into triangles.
"She sounded like an important part of the inn... will it last without her?" She asked with an innocent smile, holding out the plate.

"I'd like to think so," he replied, taking one of the triangles with a grin. "Yes, Angeles has been here, as far as I know, from the start...but I've seen what this group can do. The GMO, the Millennium Knights...everyone here seems to have that protective bent to them when it comes to the Inn. Actually, I remember a time when Angeles set out to prove that to all of Gaia..." He took a bite, realizing that he had probably said a bit too much.
"Delicious, thank you."
"Anytime, Little Boy Blue!" Max replied cheerfully, albeit a bit lazily, as she watched Remy draw.

Remy sighed, taking a sip before carefully continuing. He knew Albee'd be in trouble if this got caught, but he did love the reprieve on his mind.

"My pleasure," she chirped, taking the opposing slice and giving it a healthy bite. She watched his expression as she chewed, trying to think of something intelligent to return with. He'd explained the dynamic to a degree that it was easy to see the impact on the individuals... she was sad to not have met her.
"Think of this way; she'll be up there, always looking down on you, enforcing her protective nature from a higher place. She clearly cared for this quaint inn and did all in her power to keep it going... even if the measures were drastic. Who knows, you may see even see her soon! B-But hopefully not as a ghost... I hate ghosts..."

While he left Remy to his work, Albee set about writing out the note. She had wanted him to woo her, so he would. Except...
"Hmm. What do I write."
Albee started it out.
Dear Charlotte.
He erased it.
Dearest Charlotte.
That sounded better.
I like apple juice.
He frowned. Erasing.
I love apple juice.
Nodding, he slipped into his writing groove, finishing the rest of the note.
Dearest Charlotte,
I love apple juice. I love the instant burst of sweetness that I get as it splashes around inside. I love how it doesn't lie about its name and tastes like apples. It reminds me of you, because you make me happy no matter what you're doing. I don't know if Charlotte means anything, but I bet it means something nice.

Tyler nodded in agreement, finding her perspective incredibly comforting...why it was wasted on him rather than those out in the main room, he'd never know. The mention of ghosts, though...forewarned was forearmed.
"As far as ghosts...you might want to stay inside around Halloween. I've been hearing about the recent rise in sightings, and this is probably the safest place I know." He had, in fact, spent the entire day talking ghosts with some of his colleagues at the Inn, and their conclusions made it seem that this year would be business as usual.
I hope she's right about Angeles, though...that's one ghost no one here is ready to face.
Sosol chuckled, pulling the goblet away from Max's reach and taking a sip himself. There was no need to put it to waste, but he didn't want the poor girl falling over.
Max squinted, eying the note with scrutiny before she burst into a beaming smile. "That is, by far, the weirdest love note I've ever seen...she'll love it!"

In the midst of a second bite, Laura stopped, eyes turning to Tyler with clear alarm. "H-Hah... Haha, you're v-very funny..." she stuttered, taking a tentative bite of her sandwich, "Last Hallowe'en was bad enough... cult weirdos trying to get you to dress as their deity as you dance... peculiar."

Tyler laughed along at her description of the previous year's Halloween. The account he had heard from most of those who were actually in it, however, seemed to be no laughing matter. At least most of that seems to have been put to rest...
"I don't mean to scare you, Laura...just a warning, is all," he said between bites, finding the sandwich tasty, though somewhat short of Nate's masterpieces. "My sources are usually reliable."

"Well, that's kind of a bummer... I was hoping that I could actually work this Hallowe'en too. If you sustain the madness, you get double pay. Good deal, but ghosts are too much for little old me." She looked to her remaining sandwich and frowned, taking the technician's hand and placing it in the centre of his palm.
"I've lost my appetite in exchange for bed..." Laura said with a laugh, gaze flicking to one side. "Thanks for not making me feel so lonely here, and for the heads-up. I could do with more friends like you." Giving Tyler a last pat to the cheek, she quickly packed her mess away and sauntered from the kitchen, intent on bed.
(Napping all afternoon isn't healthy for sleep patterns; fact. Goodnight~ heart )
