"Hah, thanks, I bet you say that to all of the girls. It's a pretty common name." She replied with a teasing smile, dropping the bone in the bin. She gave Remy a shy wave on her way to nestle in an armchair with a novel.

Remy smiled sheepishly. "I'm sorry about all of that noise the other day, Laura...I'm not usually loud or anything." He worried because she'd looked scared, and above all else, he was happy not to be a scary vampire.

Tucking her legs under her without exposing what lay beneath her skirt, Laura shook her head with a sheepish smile. "Why are you explaining yourself to me?" She asked, amused smile on her face. "I haven't been here too long... you had a reason to be that way."

"Cause I hate raising my voice, don't like making bad impressions, and want to make things easy on you for settling in." he said calmly, setting up the stand. "And, well, that's kind of a horrible thing to have to be audience to, so someone ought to say it."

"Didn't think you would..." he smiled, putting up the canvas and preparing his palette. 'So, you're here to stay, huh? Good to know! I always like a fresh face..."

"Hah, that's good... I'm not sure how long 'for good' will be though. There's work, when I get back, visiting my parents... It isn't as though I'm a part of the inn yet." She watched the canvas with interest, blinking. "You're a painter...?"

"Ah, I wouldn't worry about that...this place has only been open a year; we make friends fast." he replied, daubing a brown streak in, peering out the window. "Yes, I am...had my first art show a couple of weeks back, actually."

Kristen came downstairs, crunching on a carrot as she looked over a sheet of paper somewhat absently. As she suddenly found herself without another step, she looked around the room, finding Remy and the new face the others had told her about.
"Hello," she greeted, thinking to wave but realizing both hands were occupied.

"I am sorry about that...we have been discussing Halloween and such. Actually, you should see more of us now that the plan is settled." She held up the small packet in her hand to demonstrate. "Apparently, I have been partnered with Tyler..."
