Felix diverted his eyes again, however longer this time. Maybe there were more powers at work here than he first presumed. Still He couldn't see this happen so soon. But then again. with those powers coming into play, it might happen quicker than Felix thought.

Felix reached behind him and shifted a weapon around that was digging into his skin. He briefly wondered if the guild know that he had actually ran instead of died. It didn't matter now really. But he didn't feel he needed to watch his back. He would know more than anyone how quick and silently they can take a life.

Shifting his eye back to Antha's, Felix leaned back into his chair. "So when do we go and meet the family? This might be the guild talking but I still won't believe that they'll accept me so soon until I see it. I've been taught to hope for the best and prepare for the worst."

While Sleet was in his chambers stretching like he would shrug out of his skin, his image formed in front of Vikteren. He watched him with eyes often compared to snakes and reached out with hands that were almost translucent skinned. Like the outer skin of an onion.
It was only an astral projection and he wasn't powerful enough to move things like Antha but he made a very solid image. What makes you worthy of her? He grinned in a sly twisting of lips, flashing his fangs. What do you think you could do when I have her bleeding on the floor? When I stuff her in her cage and twist her limbs until she screams?
The snake eyes flickered to the doors that led to Antha. Have you ever crushed her in your arms until her bones began to snap? She is such a warm creature. So soft.
Vikteren was smart and he knew that. But with enough taunting anyone would come to try to kick his a**. Vikteren had walked freely into his crypt before and he had no doubt he would do it again. If he had to he would show him memories of the week that nine year old Antha had been chained up in that very crypt.

In the stairwell, Vikteren stilled. He'd heard Antha's warning, but he didn't throw up his mental barricades. He could have shut the clanmaster's mental projection out, easily, but for some inscrutable reason--he did not.

His gaze was still and cold as jade, and he watched Sleet with an expression that suggested that his verbal taunts were only mildly entertaining. He knew what they were meant to do, after all, to goad him into a spur-of-the-moment decision to hunt Sleet down.
But he couldn't do that, could he? He'd promised Antha.

What do you want?

It was strange how outwardly similar Sleet and Vikteren were. Both possessed the pale skin that was the hallmark of their kind, both were tall, dark of hair, and green-eyed. Both had been turned at roughly the same age. They might have been mistaken for relatives, should they be spotted in one another's company.

Although, since if Vikteren came within twenty feet of Sleet it would only be to attack, the chances of that mistake actually occurring were slim at best.

Antha made a face at him, something close to a frown or pouting but not quite. There was some spark of deep thought in her eyes that ruined whatever natural effect the expression might have had. But it was only momentary before her trademark wicked grin came to her lips, effecting her eyes. "I'll take you to see them as soon as full dark falls," she said very simply, propping herself up on the arm of his chair, "But only if you kiss me first."
Somewhere in her mind---and not by any means a small part---she hated herself for even thinking of it. That part remembered that she loved Vikteren, and it told her the request was a horrible one to make. But the rest of her mind was practical and it told her that it was merely what she did, what she had to do, who she was. The majority of her mind also still seemed to be angry at Vikteren for the night before, for the girl he had found and the insult it had been to even enter her house with the other girl's scent so thick on him.
"Or is that too unreasonable of a request for someone so new to the Mayfair family?" Her smile broadened with the teasing, her eyes going dark. "Do I have to break you in first, Felix?"

I want to taste her blood, he answered. Antha Mayfair is no normal mortal thing. Her blood tastes of magic. He shivered in mock ecstasy and took a step forward to Vikteren. I want to ******** rip her apart and lick the blood off the floor.
He laughed and looked to the closed doors. Have you tasted of her blood yet? Of her flesh? He couldn't imagine Antha knowing a man so long and not sleeping with him. She was already making moves on her new brother in the parlor for God's sake and that had to be making the vampire angry.

There was a sense of a--surge--something vast and angry that swelled like the rise of a tsunami, straining at the vampire's self control.

If they were tide breakers, cracks would be showing.

But they held--for the moment--although Vikteren's lazy green cats-eyes flickered in brief rage as he stood, a little too fast to pretend that the comment had not riled him.

You overstep your bounds, covenmaster. This is not your territory, and your tongue strays to subjects it should not.

His voice was soft and deadly; knives sheathed in velvet, his tone belying the mild warning.

Sleet just smiled his cold, amused smile and took another step closer. What would you do? Kill me? He laughed at that thought. It would almost be worth it if I could but see the look in her eyes while she died, knowing it was your fault, because you kill me and you kill the whole Mayfair family. The poor mortals.
He took another step forward and laughed. Tell me how it is when you do sleep with her won't you? The only time I got the chance it was against her will. She just screamed the entire time. Tried to kill me I think but she's very physically weak. He remembered her tears that day. It was the sweetest thing he had ever seen and he didn't even mind the solid months of torture she had put him through after that.

Felix lifted an eyebrow as he looked at Antha. A kiss? Sure, Felix had no problem with a kiss. Hell, on some mission's with his partner who could be a total stranger of a sister, they would habe to complete their idenities by joining eachother in the bedroom. And to use his previous example, when the guild tries to breed out any weaknesses. So intimate moments so such didn't bother him, but why must he kiss her to see the family? From what he understood, or rather what he believes he understood, should Antha bring him to the family regardless of the kiss? But the way Felix saw it, one kiss wouldn't hurt.

Pushing himself up from the chair, he faced her still sitting on the armrest. Still his eyes never left her's. "You're not talking about any friendly kiss on the cheek or hand, are you?"

A new smile came to her lips, something almost mockingly sweet. Her eyes moved when he did, trained vaguely on his own. "Afraid not, mon cher. After all, what fun would that be?"
There was a moment---just one---where she thought about the time she had been sitting on the hood of her car and asked Vikteren what he would do if she asked such a thing of him. He had kissed her, but it meant nothing and she had mourned it. But that didn't matter now. Antha was the brat princess, the Mayfair slut, and Mayfair boys, her cousins, were her favorites. It was natural that Felix should catch her eye and even more so that she should act accordingly.

"Then so be it." Felix approached her and placed a hand on her cheek. He drew towards her slowly. On one mission, one of his sister's tried to teach him how to better please a woman. While Felix never saw a use for it at the time, now seemed like a good time to try it. He approached slowly, trying to try her pacience, but keeping a steady pace as well.

Finally when her was close enough, he closed his eyes and quickened the rest of the distance. He felt his lip against her's. Sure she was family, but he didn't feel anything wrong with it. Felix decided to stay like this until she was content. After all, she requested the kiss. Best to let her decide.

Kain had left the room a while before this happend. He stood out on the balcony breathing slowly though his dust mask. He focused on his breathing like he was trained to do. He was trying to remember. Trying to remember who he was. What he was. *Why do I have these dreams?* he asked himself hopeing that an answer would come to him. He was only really hear because he heard that the woman here might be able to help him. Or at least someone would. The sunlight was falling. Not from night but as clouds covered the sky. Kain put up his hood just as the rain began to fall. It was a light rain and it ran off his black trench coat quickly. "I hope she can help me remember and this isn't just another dead end." he said aloud. "I've been in the dark for too long." he said aloud his voice lost in the light rain.

Antha could be very patient when she so wished, and it showed while she waited for him. When he did finally kiss her, she gave a small, vague sigh and worked a hand into his hair. It was a few moments before she pulled away, running her fingers down along his cheek and using them to lift his face, to stare into his eyes. He honestly didn't seem to mind it, and it was clear that it amused her. "You have potential, mon ami."
The other boys were going to be upset. They had enough trouble fighting over Mayfair girls as it was---Antha in particular---without adding another to their numbers. "Great potential indeed."

Felix listened to her words, wondering what the meant breifly. He knew the was an underline meaning to that kiss, Felix just didn't know what. However, no harm done. He slowly slid his hand off of her face but continued to look her in her eyes.

"Mind if I ask, what kind of potential I have? It's kinda hard to tell what you game is." Felix was still very close to her. Most would be uncomfortable by this distance. Again Felix didn't care. Very little fazed him.

A small giggle escaped Antha as she looked at him, thinking it had been too long since she had met a Mayfair boy who didn't know her character, or at least her reputation. "I have only one game, Felix, one that I've gotten very good at." Gently she wrapped her fingers around the collar of his shirt, drawing him closer still. "Sex is my game, as it has always been. I'm the slut of Osiris City, and Mayfair boys are my favorite." She smiled, gave one faint laugh as if the idea amused her.
What she neglected to mention was that the family demanded it, that she needed another heir to the legacy. She never actually tried, but she could pretend. Anything to shut Julien up.

Kain put a hand to his dust mask. In thought he wondered what they must have done to him to make him have to where this. Finally, because no aswer came to mind, in anger he ripped it from his face and tosses it to the ground. His face was acctually handsome without the mask dispite being alittle pale. He took a deep breath of the air. He could feel it hurt his lungs almost too much. He suddenly couldn't breath anymore. He stood there not breating for a few seconds before he exhaled. He bent in weakness and picked up the mask again coughing. Before he put the mask back on he coughed into his hand bringing up blood. With the mask back on he could breath safely once again. But doing that had served its purpse. He knew that he must find out who he was...or die trying, so that he could kill whoever did this to him.

Felix still looked at her. Shock still not showing on his face. "That would explain you action just now. But why Mayfair's more than anyone else?"

If what she said was true, being the slut of the city. Why would Mayfair's be her favorite? There's probably someone out there who can please her the most. And the chances of ther person being in the family were very slim. So why narrow her favorites to the family? But then again, it was her life, not his. Everyone has a reasoning for their actions and thoughts. Felix had no right questioning the reasoning. Only the outcome those reasoning bring.
