[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

[Angeles Valentine]

Angeles closed her eyes as Zulma ushered her outside and away from the wounded man. When the door closed Angeles' eyes opened and she turned to Zulma, "brave," was all she could muster before her throat tightened and she winced slightly. December came from around the inn and wagged his tail slightly, letting Angeles know he was happy to see her, but the sudden stop also said he knew something was wrong. Angeles looked from the wolf to Zulma and waited for the young woman to lead.

Zulma smiled as she heard Aris through the door. She wished she had helped him, but at that moment she knew that her friend Angeles needed more help.

The ton of her voice only was different and Zulma could only imagine what the vampire was fighting against. The innkeeper greeted December with a nod and then walked in silence for a while, without a real destination.
Soon however their steps led them to the lake, totally placid and reflecting the millions of stars on its surface. It looked like they were surrounded by infinity.

Zulma sat on a big stone, Baldur at her side although he was sometimes running away and then coming back. Zulma looked up at the vampire who was still standing.
"I do not need anything for myself. I want to help my friends." she sighed and gently took Angeles's hand, cold as death, she smirked.
"You are my friend. So....if that can help you so be it. The pain is only physic." her golden eyes locked in the emerald eyes. The choice was Angeles's, but Zulma wondered at that moment if the vampire could really choose.

-looking around at the inn now empty he sat down behind the bar and relaxed- "Well...that was odd...Does Zulma not like me all of a sudden?" -he contimplated with a low voice- "I dont remember doing anything wrong..."

((If your senses are keen enough and your looking for it im sure you could smell blood thats outside in the woodline where I was jumped. Just figured Id tell you since the situation seems to be arising lol))

Jeff shrugged. "I trained most of the time. But let's not talk about me, you are the Queen of the day, so we should talk about you." he looked up and around. "Where are the musicians? We need music to lightened up this beautiful day." he said joyfully. He wanted Zefi to have the best birthday ever.

[Angeles Valentine]

Angeles followed Zulma silently, with December following behind her. She was still fighting the thirst, though it was becoming steadily easier. When Zulma stopped at a lake and sat on a rock Angeles remained standing looking out over the water and the reflection of the moon rippling on the surface. Angeles' eyes slowly ascended to look at the moon itself. A hunter's moon.

Her eyes snapped down to Zulma when the woman gripped her hand and explained herself. Angeles listened silently. She closed her eyes and slowly wrapped her fingers around Zulma's before looking out to the water, "I've been alive for a very long time. Never have i come across a soul such as yours, a spirit nearly as strong, nor a mind that has suffered as much."

Angeles looked down at Zulma again, "you are a brave woman, but you are also controlled. You see things differently, where one sees a call to violence you see a cry for peace," Angeles looked at the water again, "i do not want to take that away from you or from the world."

Zulma smiled at Angeles and looked away at the water. She slowly let Angeles's hand go. She took her words as a compliment and yet she was overwhelmed by a feeling of failure, failure to ease her friend's pain, failure to help the vampire. There was nothing much she could do for her.

"I guess I shall go on preparing that nectar and those candies..." she chuckled but their was no smile in her voice.

Zulma thought that the main different between herself and people who had suffered as much as she had, was that she was still alive and trying to find peace, while most had given up on life and peace.
"I am nothing special you know...I am a creature of weakness like everyone of us...after all we are all controlled...only by different things..."

She sighed and looked at the back of the vampire who was staring at the beauty of the lake. "I wish I could help you Angeles." she murmured.

"My birthday was yesterday" Zefi said with a smile. In her mind she frowned as he said queen but she knew he didn't really mean it like that."I guess the music is busy" Zefi said glad he hadn't been here yesterday when she had had to sing in front of Ultima and Kageko...  

[Angeles Valentine]

Angeles smiled but did not look down at Zulma, "perhaps soon you will have your chance. I am a vampire after all, my thirst may one day change my mind. And i know you will be the one standing before when that time comes, protecting everyone else from me by sacrificing yourself," Angeles closed her eyes and inhaled lightly, "you have helped me Zulma. That day you returned with the grave news that SIN wanted a different owner for the inn, I also wanted to end the discussion with violence. 'A few throats missing would change their minds quickly.' But you spoke of peace and I was content.

"The inn is my sanctuary. I can go there when I want peace, and you made it so. So I thank you, my friend."

Jeff looked down for a second. "I know, I am sorry I could not be there yesterday." It seemed that Zefi did not like his idea of music and he tried to find something else to suggest, but nothing came. So he just stayed silent and smiled at her.

Zulma smiled as Angeles spoke of what she was doing with the Inn. "I am glad that you are finding some peace with us. The Inn will always be opened to you my friend. I am happy to help you even if it is not much..." She shivered. The night was cold.

She stood up and added. "I will be there when you need me, but do not see it as a sacrifice, see it as a seal of our friendship for the one I would want to protect would be as much you as the others."

She assumed that the vampire wanted to remain alone or go hunting with her wolf. She brushed December's fur briefly and then hopped on Baldur. "I wish you a good night Angeles. Be safe."
Zulma did not need to speak and Baldur jumped forward, in a minute she was by the Inn.
Ten minutes later she was in her bed sleeping.

-dozing on and off at the inn behind the bar and waiting for someone, anyone to come back to the inn he contemplated what the journey coming would behold.-

Angeles remained out by the lake after Zulma left, then, after coming to some sort of agreement or understanding with herself. She turned and walked back to the inn. the scent of blood got stronger the closer she got but she satiated herself with one of Zulma's blood candies and walked inside to the wounded young man.

"You need healing correct?' she asked, reaching into her pocket and pulling out a flask of water.

-waking up as Angeles walked into the inn- "Hey, how are ya Angel? ...um...is everything ok?...did I walk in at a bad time or something?" -he gave an awkward half smile- "Nah im nott too bad off, it sjust some bites and scratches from some wolves. They stopped bleeding by now no doubt. But thank you very much for your generous offer"

Gren twisted his cherry stem, humming in an absent manner.

"No it wasn't a bad time," she said slipping the flask back into her pocket, "just a tense one," she walked back over to her table, the chair there was free for anyone to sit in and join her if they dared.
