Gren amused himself by pouring a lager and settling down in his favorite chair. Figuratively, he felt as though he were back in the saddle, and was quite content.

Howard saw Gren's comfortable position and was almost jealous. But he stayed next to his pizza, waiting for something to happen. They were truly quiet days the days the Inn of Peace actually lived up to its name.

Gren sipped his beer, utterly mellow, some part of his mind wondering when the other shoe would drop, the rest feeling good enough to play a few songs.
Charlotte walked downstairs, tidy 1880's dress to her knees, stockinged and looking overall nice in the prim outfit. He seemed a bit busy, but well-engrossed in a discussion with the neon green Nishi.
Remy happily played Scribblenauts. "I dunno...it's not often we get a day where nothing happens; it's like fresh air...but if you're bored, we can play video games, like Mariokart!"

"But as I feel Gren is about to say: It's days like this that are missed once they're gone. Eh, Gren?"
"WHEE~"
"And as if to undo everything I say..."
Albee rushed down the stairs, trying to slide down the banister, but failing and simply running down anyway. At the sight of Charlotte he beamed and ran over with arms wide open.
"Hey! Your dress is kinda pretty, y'know?"

"Huh?" he glanced up. "I don't mind it...but what Remy said, I was thinking of playing some songs; I haven't felt so good in a while. There's been a lot of depressing stuff, so this is a nice defrag for me...Still, do as you like!"
Charlotte beamed, picking him up. "Thank you! I'm such a sucker for Victorian, and I had to; it was a Worth dress! Did you have a fun day?"

"A few songs...?"
Realization.
"Hey, that's right, you're a musician! I haven't gotten the opportunity to hear you in a while! Well, scratch that, EVER."
Albee shrugged.
"I fell asleep after working on sharpening my random stuff. The only thing I can control is if I do this..."
He pointed at a table.
"Mejra!"
A vase of roses appeared on top.

"I've only ever heard sax on recordings, but I hear it's mind-boggling live."
Howard helped himself to a bottle of beer to wash down a bit of pizza that had lodged itself in his throat.
Albee shrugged.
"I'm glad you like it, but I really coulda used something more useful. Like apple juice... or hamburgers..."
He looked back at Charlotte with a smile in his eye.
"But if Charlotte likes it, then I'm HAPPYYYyuuhh."
He dropped out of Charlotte's arms, flopping onto the floor as he turned into a teenager. He rubbed his neck.
"But yeah, if you're into it, that makes it all the better for me."

Charlotte scratched her head. "I thought you were only allowed apple juice? Maybe I'm being forgetful...anyway, boss work on the roses!"
Gren returned, toting a large rectangular case, and set to work setting up on the stage.
