[RP] The Inn of Peace - IoP (Open to all)

[Gren_Eckener]

"It means I'm kidding about that, and so are you, doesn't it?" Gren reached over and scratched MacPere's head for a moement before continuing. "Still, it's not a bad thing to know..."  

[MacPere]

"Oh." His head lulled slightly at the scratch, but he was quick to regain his composure, laughing lightly. "And, well, I'm not so sure... You could bend me to your will anytime you please now~"  

[Gren_Eckener]

"Mm...then I suppose I'll have to be careful. But I wouldn't worry about it, as I'll only use this power for good." Gren winked and stood.

"Now, if you don't mind my going...I'm going to try to sleep a normal amount for once..."

(Good night, pretty one.)

"Please do... You'll need that energy~" MacPere winked back.

[The White Lily]

Zefi wondered what was happening at the Inn but continued to open gifts. She had 5 left to open. She read the next envelope and it read "I hope you have a wonderful birthday, hopefully you can practice with this" It signed Amelia G and when she opened the gift it was a book of piano songs with lyrics. How nice... she opened the last four and thanked the last couple people as they all went back to their jobs. Jeff had already had to go do something and Ultima had to go back to the Inn for Kiba. Zefi was all by her lonesome with her sister at the end glad for some quiet. Her sister handed her a small box like Jeff's but when she opened it she almost cried. It was a bracelet made from just plain silver with little different colored gems all shaped like tear-drops. Zefi looked at her sister unable to say anything and just nodded. She put it around her wrist and moved her arm back and forth listening to the swish of the bracelet. It was just her size and it had been sent to her on the day she was born. It was one of the few things that had survived the fire and they had agreed she could have it when she turned 18. Zefi wondered why she had gotten it so much earlier but knew she would take good care of it. It was something just as precious to her as her present from her friends also Zefi had permission to go to the Inn tomorrow and provide them with... supplies that might be necessary. Her sister said it was the least she could do after Zefi had stayed there for 2 months. It had only been one but Zefi didn't mention that she had been alone in the woods for a month while everyone was trying to... hurt each other. She sat at the table looking into space wondering what to do next.

Kageko reapplied the seal to her arm. Besides her Yin sat quietly. Other than their breathing and the sound from their movements, the world remained silent. They were still at her house. After the little episode with Aris, Yin had become slightly more obedient. Of course, she continued to give the defiant, "I still don't like them," look but Kageko hoped that she wouldn't harm them too much. Yin noticed her thoughts and thought, "I'm still going to hurt them if they do anything funny." Kageko sighed and finished what she was doing. She then went back to a scroll she had been scribbling all over. On it, were symbols and notes and arrows and whatnot all over. Yin fluttered over to the table and watched what she was doing.

Zefi kept looking around looking at her new bracelet and seemed to be in her own little world. So much had happened in just a few days...

Kageko looked up from the scroll and stretched. "Ow," she thought. "Careful," Yin warned, "You shouldn't have used that technique so much." Kageko gave Yin the, "If I don't practice that technique how am I supposed to get better," look and proceeded to roll up the scroll. Nevertheless, what Yin said was true. Her right arm really was badly injured. Cuts, burns, and all other kinds of injury could be seen on it from trying to force too much energy through it. Kageko gave another experimental stretch, it still hurt but she could do it without showing the pain she felt.

"Good," she thought, "I just need to be able to withstand the pain so as not to worry the others."
Yin looked at Kageko skeptically, she seemed to be saying, "Why don't you want your friends to notice? You seem to trust them in pretty much everything else."
Kageko shook her head, "Knight, Ultima, Aris, everyone has already been hurt enough because of this brand. They don't need to be hurt from it anymore than they've already been. Plus, I don't want them worried about me."
Yin read into Kageko a step further, "So that's why you injure yourself by overusing that technique? So you can protect you friends should the danger come back? I don't get it. You make it look as if friends are supposed to protect each other but your friends are hurting you," she fluttered off, indignantly, into a corner of the room.
Kageko sighed, she wasn't shocked that Yin had read so much, their souls were bonded so it was natural. Actually, she was thinking, "Exactly Yin, friends protect each other, that's why I want to protect them. I'm not as strong as any of them but I swear, I will not let any of them be hurt because of me."
Yin glared at Kageko piercingly, "If they really are your friends shouldn't they feel the same way? Of course," she prevented Kageko's reply, "I know that you know they'll do that. With that being said, shouldn't you let them be your friend to? Don't you think they'll be happier to know that you trusted them? "
Kageko just stared at Yin. Knight had something similar, but this was the first time Yin had something like that to her. Yin fluttered up again and used her tail to grab the scroll. "C'mon," she motioned, "Let's sleep," and nudged Kageko towards her room. Kageko woke up from her stupor and walked to her room, still contemplating what Yin had reasoned.

Zefi looked up and saw her sister almost asleep and Zefi decided it was enough for one night. "Thank you so much Zrenni. It was a lot of fun and though i probably don't need a grow your own cucumber set I love the gifts and the way you set it up. Now can we go to bed?" Zefi asked laughing a bit at the end to show she was just kidding around but was really really tired.

Kageko laid down in her bed. Yin was already fast asleep, so as to leave Kageko to her own thoughts. She couldn't stop thinking about what Yin had mentioned. She swept it out of her mind, reasoning, "I need to sleep. Plus, either way, I have to protect my friends." She turned around and, having brushed away those disturbing thoughts, fell sound asleep.

She was hurtling down a tunnel. She felt like she was running, but she couldn't feel anything, couldn't see anything. Despite that, it didn't feel like falling either. She couldn't think, couldn't breathe. Despite that, she knew she was alive. All of a sudden, she crashed. Maybe she had been falling, she didn't know. She didn't know who she was. She didn't know what she was. She didn't know anything. "Who, what, when, where, why?" kept repeating over and over in her head, but she wasn't thinking. Her right arm her hurt terribly, like it was going to explode, like it had already exploded, like it was being pulled off, like it was burnt, like..., like..., like…. She didn't know, she experienced pain, but she couldn't feel anything. She noticed a SIN mark right in front of her eyes. It glowed black against a black background. Her eyes took note of it clearly, but she couldn't see. There was darkness, darkness everywhere, but she couldn't feel it. She wasn't scared of the darkness, she was scared of the evil that it held. Wait, how could she know this? She couldn't think. "Who, what, when, where, why? Who, what, when, where, why? Who, what, when, where, why? Who, what, when, where, why?..."

Zrenni looked at her and smiled. They were both tired. "Can you get back by yourself" She asked Zefi already knowing the answer. She stood up and they steadied themselves.

Zefi watched her sister stand up and followed her. "Of course I can." And they both headed towards the door. She was so tired but Zefi had had such a great time. She loved all her present and would get them all tomorrow. When would she use a grow your own cucumber? Really? It didn't matter though She just wanted to sleep...

Zrenni exited the room with Zefi behind her. "See you tomorrow Zefi-Sethi" she said in a joking tone and she headed towards her side of the house. She would get up early and start her day again tomorrow. For now it was time to sleep. She made sure Zefi had a guard accompany to her room and trusted her sister to tuck herself in. My my my that girl could have the greatest time when she wanted to.
