mixing medieval adventure type settings into space?

WHAT IF

it was like a Matrix thing in the sense that we are all from the medieval type place and got scooped up into a giant spaceship we have no idea we are on and are being transported to an intergalactic ZOO for showcasing! And the goal of the rp is getting out and figuring wth is going on?

Meh, I was thinking about travelling between the worlds in the space one. And you'd have one medievally place, one food place, one teen drama place blah blah blah. And they'd be on some huge quest for something or someone somewhere else.

sounds kind of cool. What would we do in the way of character interaction?

Crazy orgies? It's just an idea so far, but it would require a good deal of NPCs.

Why don't we do a summer camp thing where our characters learn they have secret powers and they have to save the alternate realities of their world in order to prevent a black hole from destroying their home. Or...something. >>

Whoa that sounds awesome. I like that idea. We can work out statistical, level up things with that too..

Level ups? For serious? You wanna do something Fire Emblemy? I think it'd be best to assign one person to do the level ups. I was part of an RP that had all the statistical stuff as part of it and well...I REALLY hated keeping track of everything, plus it slowed people down when others had to post their stats.

it actually kind of does. maybe we can come up with a simpler method?

Yeah yeah here's a question:

Which of us would actually REMEMBER to do the level up stuff?

I'm up for simpler method.

It's true that I did forget to add my character's experience up a few times, but I had three characters to look after...

Do you want to just keep it to one character per person?

apart from NPCs, since someone has to be them.

Well, actually I was thinking of having each person play as three people unless they were uber opposed to it. I was thinking that they could have one main character good guy, one evil biatch, and one minor character with barely any screen time. Of course their villian characters would get killed off every change in dimension, so they'd have to make new ones, which could be a problem...

Well if we all start out at a summer camp there wouldn't be any evil guys for a bit we'd all just be establishing or character, building up character interaction, that sort of thing. I think we could maybe make bad guys later, but start out with one each. Get used to the system, build relationships, that sort of thing. I personally don't like role playing as more than one character, but could go for it...later on.
