Hmmmm......"on" is considered singular but is used for an indefinite group of people and "one", in your case, is for an indefinite person, right?
So, I'd say, it makes sense to me but it is not used commonly (also, it could confuse others) and I'm only teaching basics BUUUUT thanks a lot for your opinion, I really appreciate.
