User ImageSlamming down the book on the dresser, Sofia let out a frustrated sigh. Bo had followed her into the room and sat by her bed looking at her with his head tilted to the side. "Can you believe that guy?! I will certainly never let a guy like that touch me. I may be some nerdy girl that everyone dislikes but I have self respect. And you know what? I can do far better than that guy..." Letting out another sigh she walked into the bathroom that was in the room and took a quick shower, making the the door was locked. When she finished her shower she simply crawled into bed.

The next morning Sofia sat up from her bed and looked around for a moment, her hair messy. She yawned and got out of bed and made her way into the bathroom. It was five in the morning...the time she always got up no matter the day. Sofia brushed her teeth and hair before going outside and since Alex would be asleep she didn't bother putting her glasses on or putting some actual clothes on. She wore a tank-top and small short, the shirt long so it looked as if she had no shorts. She simply made coffee for herself. Moments like these showed what true beauty she did have. Her figure was that of a fit young woman her age but with curves rather than slim and stick looking. The whole school would never in a million years recognize her.

Alex had fallen asleep while watching TV. Sometime around midnight he woke up, saw that the TV was on, turned it off, and then pulled out his bed. He never bothered to take of the sheets when he folded it up in the morning, and so it was ready for him when he unfolded it, except for his blanket and pillow, which he kept in the corner of the living room. When six o'clock in the morning arrived, his alarm clock began to beep, telling him that it was time to get up for school. As could be expected, he groggily reached out and pushed the snooze button for some extra sleep. As much as he disliked the way that Sofia nagged him to get up, she was actually a more effective alarm clock than his small electric clock. He might have gotten up then if it was a Friday, since anticipation of the next game always chased away his sleepiness, but this day was a Wednesday, and so Alex had fallen asleep once more in a very short time.

User ImageBeing dressed now, Sofia went into the living room and spotted Alex. For a moment she was going to walk over there and wake him up but after what happened yesterday she decided not to. Sofia fed Bo and herself before heading out of the apartment quietly. Normally she made breakfast for him too but today she didn't and yesterday when she did the laundry she did not fold his clothes like she always did, instead it was still bunched up in the basket. This was her teaching him a lesson. He made it seem that she really wasn't important and he didn't respect her and therefore she would stop doing wifely things for him.

The campus was somewhat empty since it was still very early but it was peaceful and less hostile so she loved that. Going to the music room she practiced a bit. The game was this Friday and the band would be playing and she was playing drums...yes drums. In fact this would be the first time anyone would ever see her play such an instrument since she usually played flute, piano/keyboard, trumpet, violin...and a couple others.

It was about the second time when Alex had pushed the snooze button (or was it the third or the fourth time?) that it occurred to him that Sofia hadn't come to nag him to get up. That was pretty unusual. He listened carefully, and when all that he heard was silence, he finally looked at the time. "D**n, I'm going to be late!" he swore out loud as he quickly got up. First he threw his blanket and pillow into the corner without bothering to fold the blanket, and then he pushed the hide-a-bed back into the sofa. Next he showered, shaved, and dressed as quickly as he could. The favorite shirt that he wanted to wear that day wasn't where it was supposed to be. Alex had to look in the laundry basket to find it, and he decided to speak with Sofia about that. At least his letterman jacket was where he had put it. When he went into the kitchen, he discovered that Sofia hadn't fixed breakfast. He was definitely going to talk to her about that. After rummaging through the refrigerator, he found a doughnut that had been sitting in the back for about a week (or maybe longer), and he scarfed it down as he grabbed his books and ran to his car. Along the way he probably bent the speed limit a bit and ran a couple 'orange' lights, as he liked to call a light that turned red just before he entered the intersection, but who really cared? As it happened, he managed to arrive at school in time for his first class. While none of the students had any reserved parking stalls, like the school faculty did, it was common knowledge that one didn't park in a certain area of the parking lot near the school unless one was a senior like Alex. Bad things 'mysteriously' happened to cars that didn't belong.

((OOC: I'm guessing that Sofia and Alex have their psychology class at the same time, since the teacher had made them partners in the pretend marriage. Is the class in the morning or afternoon?))

Sofia sat in class staring out the window ignoring the usual stares though some were confused as to why she was smiling. The reason she sat there doing so was because Alex was yet to be there and she knew why. Perhaps now he would be a little nicer to her...or so she hoped.

The teacher came in and the class was already there to start learning and what not. Luckily for Alex he made it just in time but judging by the look on his face he didn't seem to be too happy. Sofia couldn't help but chuckle from the fact that he somewhat screwed him over and it felt good.

"Cutting it a bit close this morning, Mr. King?" the teacher asked when Alex came through the door. "I got stuck in traffic," Alex lied, but it was plausible enough that it might have been true. Alex went to the back of the classroom and sat on the last row, like always. Before he had the chance to get comfortable, though, the teacher glared at him and then pointedly glanced at the empty desk next to Sofia. Obviously Alex was still expected to sit next to Sofia during the class. All of the other 'married couples' were seated together, and so Alex couldn't expect to be the exception. Of course the big difference was that the other 'couples' were still only pretending to be married, while Alex and Sofia's marriage had turned into a real living nightmare. As he grumbled to himself, Alex grudgingly moved to the desk next to Sofia. Going by the smug expression on her face, the missing breakfast wasn't a mistake. Alex could have told her off right then and there, but the class had already started, and so he limited himself to sarcastically whispering, "Thanks for breakfast!"

Having him sit next to her wasn't something she was too happy about either but in the end she still got something good out of this morning. In fact, Sofia had calculated that Alex would have probably eaten that nasty doughnut that he told her never to touch and he had forgotten all about it. That thought made her smile after he sarcastically thanked her. She did not reply to him yet since she listened to what the teacher was saying and when she had everyone just continue what they were working on yesterday she turned and finally said. "You're very welcome, I didn't know you would thank me for today's breakfast since you never really thanked me before. I'll be sure to do it every day now."

With those concluding words she went and began working on the book work as she copied terms down and looked for the definitions. She then looked over at him and quickly added, "By the way, have fun going to the bathroom to puke...or you may just end up with diarrhea all day." She chuckled and then went back to her work now silent for the remainder of the class period.

Alex looked at her in confusion for a moment as he tried to decide if she was sincere or being sarcastic. He finally decided that she was probably being a smart-a**. While she always looked like a dork, she did have some brains between her ears. Her comment about going to the bathroom to puke was puzzling as well. Had she gotten lucky and guessed that he had eaten the doughnut that was in the refrigerator? Alex couldn't remember if he had told her to not touch it because he had thought that it was bad or because he had wanted her to think that it was bad so that she wouldn't touch it before he had the chance to eat it himself. In any case, he had forgotten about the doughnut until that morning. He wasn't worried about it, though. After all, a stale doughnut wouldn't make him that sick, would it?

The period was going by slowly for some reason and to no surprise Sofia was finished with her class work and it had only been ten minutes. She sat there quietly reading the book she had been reading last night before she was interrupted only to hear ridiculous things from Alex. The thought of what he wanted to do made her feel uneasy and sick but she tried not to show that as she looked away from her book and out the window, the gray clouds slowly drifting to some other part of the world. Thinking about those gray clouds made her thing of rain which reminded her that she had been to preoccupied in the morning that she had forgotten to go to the bathroom and now she felt as if her bladder would burst though in the end she would merely pee herself which would be horribly embarrassing.

Sofia had no choice but to ask to go to the bathroom but since everyone was in class there was that possibility that no one would be out in the hall or in the bathrooms which meant little harassment. Getting up she went over to the teacher and asked to go to the restroom. He had let her do so since she had her work done and so she walked out of class and thus proceeded to the bathroom. Little did she know that Miss Brandy and her crew were out in the hall on the prowl.

{OOC: If you want you can interact with Sofia as Brandy if now I'll do something with them after your post}

Even though Brandy would never admit it to any of the school's faculty, the main reason for why she and her crew were lurking around that part of the school was because she knew where Alex and Sofia had their first class of the day, and so they were wandering around the area in the hopes of encountering either Sofia or Alex, preferably Sofia. As luck would have it, they were strolling by the girls' bathroom just as Sofia obligingly came around the corner. "Oh look! It's Mrs. King!" Brandy exclaimed in delight.

As Sofia had been leaving the classroom, a young man, possibly a freshman, walked in and held up a note as he told the teacher, "I was told by one of the school councilors to give this to Alexander King." The teacher took the note, examined it, decided that it was authentic, and dismissed the young man by saying, "I'll give it to him." If the teacher had followed the young man into the hall, he would have observed that the young man went straight to Greg, who was loitering about in the hall. Greg handed a $5 bill to the young man and said, "Good job, kid. Now beat it." While that happened, the teacher went to Alex and said, "Mr. King, your councilor needs to see you right now about some credits that you seem to be missing." "What?" Alex exclaimed in alarm, "I'm not missing any credits!" "Then you had better get this straightened out now," the teacher advised before returning to his desk, essentially giving Alex permission to go see his councilor.

Alex walked out of the classroom and was promptly joined by Greg, who cheerfully said, "Hi, Alex? What's up?" "Oh, hi Greg," Alex said in return, "My councilor wants to see me about some credits that I'm allegedly missing, but I know I'm not missing any. I need this hassle like I need a hole in my head... or a wife." Greg snickered and informed him, "Don't worry about your councilor. In fact she'll be surprised to see you if you go there. I was the one who sent the note. It was the only way that I could think of to get you out of class. Obviously I did a good job of forging her signature." Alex gave Greg a high-five and said in admiration, "You're the man, Greg!" "I saw your Mrs. a few seconds ago, but she blew past me like I wasn't there. I think she's making an emergency trip to the little girls' room. Oh, and I saw Brandy and Team Bimbo wandering around," Greg said next. "Which way did Brandy go?" Alex promptly asked. "That way," Greg replied while pointing in the opposite direction that Sofia had gone, not knowing that Brandy and crew had already circled around. "In that case, we're going that way," Alex stated while pointing in the direction that Sofia had taken to get to the bathroom, which happened to be around the next corner.

((OOC: FYI, Brandy and crew aren't going to let Sofia into the bathroom, but don't worry. Alex will arrive in time to provide a distraction for Sofia, and I have a fiendish plan that will allow him to get some payback for the joke that Brandy played on him the previous day. twisted ))

Sofia knew that she didn't have time to waste since she really really had to go now. When she was close to reaching the bathroom here came Brandy and her crew and the hopes of her getting to use the bathroom was all but gone. She sighed heavily when the called her out as so she stopped, the girls catching up to her and now encircling her as they usually did. "Excuse me..." She muttered softly as she tired to make her way into the restroom but Brandy promptly pushed her back gently since they clearly wanted to harass her and not allow her to use the bathroom.

"Look if you want to mess with me fine, but at least let me use the restroom..." She looked at the girl and waited for her to move out of the way but clearly she would not move an inch. It took all the strength in her body not to pee there and then and not to cuss this girl out.

Alex and Greg rounded the corner and promptly saw that Sofia was surrounded by Brandy and Team Bimbo. Alex's first thought was to go back the way that they had come, but Brandy had already spotted him. "Oh look! The little hubby has come to save his blushing bride like a knight in shining armor!" she squealed to her airhead friends, and after letting out an exaggerated sigh, she sarcastically added, "How romantic!" Perhaps Alex was still ticked off about the joke that Brandy had played on him the previous day, or perhaps he was merely irritated by her attitude, or maybe he was annoyed by the fact that she was harassing Sofia again, which meant that she was sticking her nose into his business again. In any case, Alex felt compelled to respond, and so as he approached he replied, "You wouldn't know romance if it bit you in the butt. I bet that's something that you would enjoy, though." Just then a fiendishly clever idea crossed his mind, and so Alex continued, "By the way, didn't I see you at the mall with Oscar last night?" Now Cynthia was the name of the redhead that hung out with Brandy, and Oscar was the name of her boyfriend. Just as Alex had anticipated, as soon as he had said that, Cynthia gasped in shock while her eyes widened and her mouth dropped open. She then roughly turned Brandy to face her and demanded, "You were with Oscar last night?" "No, I wasn't with Oscar last night! Alex is making that up!" Brandy replied contemptuously.

On this occasion, Brandy's reputation trumped everything else, and so Cynthia's lip began to quiver, and as her eyes filled with tears she whined, "How could you do that to me? I thought we were friends!" Brandy looked at Cynthia as if she was terminally stupid, and when Brandy realized what Alex was doing, she insistently said to Cynthia,
"Of course I'm your friend! I was nowhere near Oscar last night! Alex is lying!" Instead of taking Brandy's word for it, Cynthia turned on her heels and stormed away with tears streaming down her cheeks, leaving Brandy grumbling in anger and the other girls looking at each other with confused expressions on their faces. "I'm going to get you for this!" Brandy snapped at Alex, and after flipping him off, she charged down the hall after her erstwhile friend and called out, "Come on, Cynthia! I swear to you that I've never been near Oscar! Cynthia!" Naturally enough, the rest of Team Bimbo was quick to follow Brandy. Alex and Greg burst into laughter at that point, and as Alex raised his hand to Greg, he said, "If you can't dazzle them with your dexterity..." "Baffle them with your bull s**t!" Greg completed for Alex as they exchanged another high-five, and he added, "Divide and conquer, my man. Divide and conquer!"

As soon as the attention left from her to Alex Sofia slipped away into the bathroom. By the time she was done she heard Brandy running off to chase down her friends and the others went with her which meant it was safe for her to come out. She dried her hands after washing them and slowly walked out to see Alex and his friends talking. She didn't want to deal with either of them and so she walked past them quickly to head back to class since she wasn't the type to ditch like Alex was clearly doing. Sofia certainly didn't want to stand there and thank Alex since she figured he did all that for himself anyway.

There were still twenty minutes of class left so she would go and try and finish her book, anything was better than to be there with Alex and that friend of his who was equally rude to her.
