Ari could hear the tones of the boys far behind her. It wasn't like that was anything new. Seiji was always abrasive and insensitive to most. She found a small area and sat up against a half standing house. staring at the dried blood on her hands and pants.
"It wasn't supposed to be like this.." She murmured out into the quiet. Once she sat down she felt to heavy to get back up. The gear and used energy from the day keeping her anchored. So she leaned her head back and let her eyes close. Just listening  

[Shadow Toyoshima]

seiji says to erik "you cant be in someone way when practicing,we practice to get better so the next time around nobody dies,well at least it wont be as much deaths like this battle,and see you have good self control that good unlike that annoying member of yours i don't even know his name,but what i do know is that if he cant keep a cool head hell be the next to die hahahaahaha, (evil laugh) so what do u say,get stronger with me or stay having more of your men die."

"Rikard has the best instincts out of all of us and the skill to back them up, I'm confident he'll be fine." Erik explained to Seiji, his demeanor unwavered. Rikard was about to start up again if it weren't for his captain's comment, feeling rather flattered, he kept his mouth shut for once.
"And on the contrary, you can indeed so get in the way while training if you don't take it seriously. Especially if the men can't get along." Erik said with a condescending smirk. He turned towards his men to leave but paused a moment to look back over his should. "We're all tired right now, maybe we'll show up tomorrow after we're rested." Erik said to Seiji, his face finally showing the signs of the day's struggle, before waving goodbye. All three of them went to their horses and left for their squad's barns.

seiji says "hmph,as expected,the weak tend to stay weak while the strong tend to get stronger,well as long i as stay alive i could care less about the rest of them, Haru, gather the men and bring them here were going to train now we have to stay fit so we wont rust." Then haru says "yes sir at once" then haru leaves to get the rest of the squad. Then seiji looks up at the sky and says "just you wait yumako, the day will come when i can get revenge on all of them" with a sad face.

Ari could hear the fellow soldiers gathering on their horses to leave but she made no move to join them, staying sat against the wall. Her head leaned back. her eyes opened and stared at the darkening sky. She heard a slight rustle and her fellow medic, a trainee under her, Kara.
"they're starting to leave back to base Ari.." Kara spoke softly, like her words would break Ari.
"Go with them.. i'll return later." Ari replied. Kara hesitated but went off with the others. Ari remained where she sat before she stood up, almost off balance with the weight of the 3dmg but she walks forward down the street. Away from the group.  

[Kiba the Wild Beast]

The three men had reached the barn and led their horses to their assigned stalls, not speaking a word the whole way.
After tying up his horse, Erik walked over to the stall next to his and looked at the horse standing in it. It was a big, 3 year old dark bay stallion with a white blaze down it's face and socks around all four of it's ankles. Erik stroked the horse's face tenderly. "What are we gonna do with your horse, Luka?" He said quietly to himself. Rikard lowered his head, clearly feeling sorry for his captain. They may have all lost a brother in arms, but Erik actually did lose a brother.
Soren then pulled a pair of goggles from his pocket, the same kind they all wore, and held them up for Erik to take. "These were Luka's, I found them on the ground after I lost sight of him." Soren said, finally breaking his silent streak. His face and voice were full of guilt.
Erik wiped the tears that started to well up in his eyes and took the goggles. "Thanks Soren, that means a lot to me." Erik said with a smile.

haru says "sir we are all here." then seiji says "alright lets go fill up out tanks and then we will go swinging in the woods."then the group began to go to fill up there tanks,and when they finished they began to go to the woods to practice. then they arrive at the woods then seiji says "ok men and women,as you know we had 1 member of our squad die today,well i don't want anybody else to die in my squad,that's why from now on we will be practicing evasive,attack,and defending training,is that clear" then the rest of the group says "yes sir." then seiji says "well here is how its going to work, i will be attacking you as you dodge,and if u cant you will get hurt,i will be coming out of nowhere and hit u,you must always be aware of your surroundings we will only be doing that today,then tomorrow will be something different,do i make myself clear" then the group says "yes sir" then seiji says "now u will hear a horn to start swinging around,but i will be somewhere but yall don't know where im going to be at,ok now wait for my signal,oh and if u think about leaving or not moving i will find out and i will kill you,ok lets get started then" then seiji goes into the woods and begins the training

Ari let the group leave before heading to the wall. Using the 3dmg she hauled herself up the very top. She passed a group of MP's busy "guarding the wall". Yeah.. Guarding, as in getting drunk and playing their silly little card games. The hollared at Ari to join. Insisting she, as a women of course would add to their game but she ignored and continued forward. Finding a quiet place to sit she let her legs dangle over the outer side of the wall. She could only spot a few wandering titans out there. The sky growing dark when she thought back to that day.
**flashback**
"Ariiii why do you have to go" The little girl cried out, hugging her leg. Ari bent down and hugged her close.
"I have to go silly, who else is gonna stop these titans." Arianna smiled and kissed her little sisters head.
"You have to be strong while im gone okay? Be good for mom and dad." Ari whispered to her sister before standing again and turning her back.. It was the last time she saw her family..
**End Flashback**  

[Kiba the Wild Beast]

"Why don't you guys head to the barracks and get some rest, I'll take care of the horses." Erik said as he started untacking his horse first, cheerfully smiling as always.
Rikard suddenly clenched his fists. "You don't have to keep pretending, we're all upset about Luka. So just sto-!" Soren grabbed Rikard sternly by the back of the collar and dragged him all the way outside. "Hey! Let me go, you big oaf!" Rikard yelled, struggling to get free from Soren's grip.
Soren looked back over his shoulder, first at Rikard, then in Erik's direction. "Listen to him, he needs some space." Soren said, letting go of Rikard's collar finally.
Rikard regained his balance and stood there on the spot for a moment, contemplating Soren's words. He took a deep breath and decided to fallow Soren.

seiji blows the whistle,and the members start moving then seiji popes up behind Honami and kicks her in the back then she hits a tree and falls to the ground then seiji drops next to her and says "your out go back to the meet up point and wait there" then seiji leaves honami gets up with a sad face dusts herself off and says "ouch my knee hurts." then she stumbles twords the meet up point. then seiji finds another member and kicks him in the back and tells him the same thing as he told honami. then he finds the rest of his members and gets them. so seiji makes it back to the meet up point,and sees all of his crew members on the floor tired and then seiji says "y'all know why y'all are injured,its not because of me its because y'all wasent aware of your surroundings! y'all right now im surprised that only one of us died, go home yall did nothing right if i better not see no mistakes that could cause your life to be over in an instant tomorrow DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!!!" then the crew members says "yes sir" then seiji says "ok y'all are excused to leave" everybody leaves except for honami then seiji says "whay do u want"

Ari stayed sat with her legs dangling over the wall. The titan movement was becoming less and less as daylight faded. she stared down. The fall from here would kill anyone if not it would sure incompacitate you.. She had contemplated it before, jumping from the wall. She didnt have the guts for that kind of thing though.. yeah she was scared.. she would never let anyone know that though.
The wind blew over her and she felt the chill it left. Almost on cue did Ari start to sing quietly, an old lullaby she would sing for her sister.

"Thank you Soren." Erik muttered quietly to himself, as he finished taking his horse's saddle off. He then started whistling his squad's chant, the one Luka came up with. Tears began pouring down his face as he continued taking care of the horses.
Rikard had great instinct, which made his reflexes and judgement exceptionally sharp. However, his quick temper sometimes could get in the way a lot when it came to butting heads with others.
Soren was much calmer, like Erik. He could remain level headed no matter what and analyze the situation carefully, also making him a great judgment caller. Matter of fact, Soren was very smart.
He was a lot bigger then the rest of them, this made the work load his horse had to carry a lot heavier then Erik's or Rikard's, and him the slowest of them while riding. But no one could kill a titan in a single blow the way Soren could, his size and strength made him the best with the blades.

Ari's hand grips the edge of the wall that she sat on and stared out at the dark land. She pondered about her life with the survey corps.. everything she had given up for this cause..
Letting out a cold sigh she stood and made her way back to the base camp. Hungry and tired as she shuffled into the food line with all the others. Taking the food thats given she mouthed a hushed
"Thank you." before going off and sitting alone to eat.

Soren and Rikard managed to only be in time to bring up the rear of the line, showing up too late to get a decent portion let alone a warm meal. Soren nodded after being served his food, while Rikard just grumbled to himself in disappointment.
Soren was eating his food already before they went to find a seat, as Rikard started looking around for Erik. "Where is the captain? He should be here by now, we were waiting in line long enough." Rikard complained, still glancing in the general direction Erik should have come from. Soren could only shrug, his mouth too full to talk, before pointing towards an empty spot to sit and eat.

Ari didn't look up when she heard Soren and Rikard enter, nor did she when they questioned their captains whereabouts. Alone she sat, the only thing that had the possibility of being positive was that her meal was at least hot.
She looked around at the broken faces, the hushed whispers, the empty chairs in which could never be filled from fallen soldiers.
Ari spotted Kara, her medic in training take a seat with friends, motioning Ari over.
"Arianna! come on. Join us." Kara smiled that innocent smile at her. Secretly hoping Ari would join them but she shook her head.
Ari looked back down at her bowl. Ignoring her for now.
