How did u get into Xena/Herc?

I started watching it around when it first came on, I was six. I would watch a good deal of it in the summer and whenever i would stay home...I was sick alot so I got pretty into it imediatly. What was really weird is that I picked up on the subtext and instantly hated every guy except for Aries XP Ever since Xena's been my hero. Ever since I've been watching whenever it's been on. My friends think I'm weird lol.

Where is everyone T-T I came here for the fandom, but alas...all have left it seems.

i got into both shows cuz my mom watches them and taped xena. i started watching it and got interested cuz the episodes are just that interesting! i haven't seen anything like it (even though i was like 5 at the time they showed it on WB)..

I started with Hercules first because my mom thought Herc was hot, which he pretty much is. then I saw an episode with Xena and Herc together, and then I saw Xena on one day. What can I say, one things leads to another, and I got hooked on both. I also tried to throw a pretend chakram. it's a lot harder then it looks.

My mom also had a Herc action figure. It was so cool. He had amazing punching powers. lol.

New channel airs in Uk----Herc on new channel----at 7---me aged 8 allowed to watch said show---Xena gets aired half a year latter---at 6----me aged 9 thinks Amazons are cool and watched---me gets hooked on Xena

Hmmm, I got into the shows way back when Hercules was on first. I uh, had a bit of a crush on Hercules. redface Then when they had the Xena spin-off, I thought Xena was really pretty, and I thought it was awesome that she was a girl who could kick more butt than most guys. I've always been an action fan, so these shows interested me from the first moment I saw them. smile

Well other than talking about my son watching I guess I never answered this.
I remember the 1st time I saw Xena, I was at my mother in laws and my husband and bro in law were watching it and I teased them about how they just wanted to watch the half naked chics. xd
But then, since there was nothing else to do, I watched with them. I thought it was pretty cool. At that time you didnt see warrior women kicking butt, so yeah I liked it. I'm the type of person that while I love men I dont really like most of them (if that makes sense) so watching Xena besting them every step was way cool to me. Then Ares entered the picture and I was hooked. Hooked on him, hooked on him and Xena. Their passion, their fighting...I just liked it. I've always gotten into the love/hate thing....anyone remember moonlighting?? 1st TV couple I can remember rooting for lol
Anyways thats it.

An older friend introduced it to me at a sleepover and I LOVED it, but at the time, didn't get to watch often, because it was on late at night. With time, I drifted away from it because the time and channel were constantly being changed. A different friend called me and told me it was on TV several years later, and the rest was history.

That's funny. My son was oh 7 when the show went off the air. SO he basically watched since he was old enough too and he LOVED Gabby. He even named his cat after her lol
Now he doesnt remember any of them though so he is enjoying watching them again with me.

And how I got into Xena? I was really young...and I remember it being on Sunday mornings and I would skip church to watch it if it was a really good episode. Then I forgot about it for a few years, and it was on my aunt's house one day, and I started watching the reruns on Oxygen. A few years passed and I was sitting around playing on ebay, and then it hit me. It was like I forgot Xena existed, and I began this insane rampage to purchase DVDs, which I watch like an obsessive maniac, and my friends totally make fun of me, but I make them watch it sometimes. Heh. And here I am!

I can't remember how old I was, but back when Hercules first aired my mom and dad would watch the show weekly. I was always so mad because my bed time was 8:30, so I'd only be able to see half an hour of the show. I was in highschool by the time I was able to actually see any full episodes of either Xena or Hercules. My two best friends and I loved the show, and Greek Myth, so much that we gave ourselves nicknames based on our personalities and on the Greek Gods.

Kinda corny, I guess, but that's the story ^^

My dad used to watch Hercules... i saw Xena in her first appearence on there. I thought she was great, then dad informed me a few months later that she had her own show...

and the fanaticism began... O.o

Has anyone ever been to the Herculese and Xena thing at universal studios? I don't even know if it is still there... i doubt it... but it was pretty nifty. ^_^

When i was little, i used to watch it every saturday at 6pm on channel 5, i first started to watch Hercules at the time i was obsessed with greek myths and fell in love with the show straight away then they started to play Xena after the Hercules show and again i fell in love with the show. Ive watched almost every episode of the two shows i have most of them on video but they got thrown away crying so i have to save up so i can get them on dvd, £50 for the first series of Xena wow it's going to take me a while to get all the episodes whee

hehe, yeah they are pretty expensive, that is why I dont own them =(
