I actually just don't want to sit and listen to people's problems all day. I find the psyche interesting, but I really can't think of a job using it that I would enjoy. confused

ROFL! Yeah, I guess you wouldn't make the best shrink in the world then. rofl I used to think I wanted to get in to it. I was always the one everyone came to for advice and such, everyone told me I should get into the field. But I think I would have preferred to go into some other scientific field studying ecology or something.
Psychology seems too loosely based on fact. If I were going to devote myself to learning something, I'd like to know that it won't be a waste 10 years down the road.

But then I guess you could argue that many things even in harder sciences change as well...

I just love learning in general. I became really depressed yesterday when it occurred to me that I will never be able to sit through another undergraduate class with my friends again. sad I would love to take another lit class or something. I would actually loved to be taking summer courses right now. I really don't know what I want to do with my life. It is too bad that one can't be a perpetual student for a living. blaugh

So, Mira... What do you think of my lovely pic that I took in the bathroom? lol I want to see what the great and mighty Mira looks like! biggrin (although the brain is really cool)

I love learning too, although I've never really meshed with the structure provided in most schools. I hate professors who don't allow debate when they're talking. That's just how I learn. I guess I'm a bit antagonistic, but I don't think things make proper sense until I've examined every angle. Hence, my teachers tend to dislike me. But the good ones LOVED me. lol

My best friend has something like 20 more credits than she needs to graduate lol. She just loves college, so she hasn't retaken the one class she needs to complete her masters. It's good in a way though, since the longer she stays in school, the more she can put off paying her student loans. xd

That is my natural hair color. Sometimes it is more blond and sometimes it is more red. It kind of goes in cycles. confused

I actually have 147 hours completed. However, I still have my student teaching left. xp Most of my professors love me because I question EVERYTHING. I feel like most classes are a conversation between myself and my professors. Maybe that is why I always am on the dean's list. However, I am a bit too talkative at times. I have actually been sent out to the hallway for talking too much in class while in college TWICE! blaugh

i has to go to bed soon. I closed tonight and i open tomorrow... (thankfully the pharmacy isn't 24hrs.) but 9pm and then having to get up for work at 8am? *sighs* i should shuffle off to bed. ^^;;

Really? It's so pretty. I don't think I've ever seen hair like that. It's like a golden red. It looks sooo soft too hehe! My hair is a boring sort of mousy brown.

Aww, it sounds like you have awesome professors. I used to dream about a completely open area where people could just... walk in off the street and learn whatever is being taught at that time.
LOL I spent most of my formative years doing cartwheels and handstands out in the empty hallways of my schools. I straightened out a lot when I was in college though, I knew my propensity for causing trouble, so I tried to keep my mouth shut until I just couldn't stand it. And for the first time, I got good grades! I almost managed a 4.0!

Pffft! Don't be jealous! I'm really pretty plain looking in everyday life. I think I just got lucky when I snapped those shots. Must have been all the fuzz in the picture. lol I take terrible pictures most of the time. I ruined most of my own wedding pics LOL.

And thank yew! I was actually just going to outline it in photoshop and leave it as a sketch, but the next thing I knew, I was coloring it. XD

Poor Nebbiekins. I completely sympathize with you. Earlier in the year I went almost 2 weeks with a non-stop migraine. Which is the reason I have a picture of my brain to share in the introduction thread LOL!
If it doesn't let up, you might want to go see your doctor. 3nodding

What you said kind of reminds me of the Academy in Athens. You could go for as long as you wanted or as short a time as you wanted. You just left when you feel like you learned enough. It is also famous for the Socratic method of teaching. I would love to attend lectures forever! But, I don't exactly want to do the papers unless I feel inspired to write something brilliant. My friends in real life think that I am crazy, but they assure me that they love me anyway. heart

There seems to be so few truly inspired people these days. I think a lot of it is because of the structure foisted on us in public schooling. But then, I do think a lot differently than most people I guess. Maybe it's just me LOL!
I do wish I could just get along normally in college. If I could afford it, I mean. It's not like I'm adverse to learning at all, it's just hard for me to find an environment that I feel is open and actually devoted to nourishing a person's intellectual growth.

But it's not just the structure. So many of the students are so... egomaniacal and... I don't know, full of themselves. I guess I'm just not wired to get a good education.
