Alex was tempted to take a peek. There was no denying it. He was so very tempted to take just a quick look, and he might have tried it if he thought that he could get away with it. The thing was, it would be painfully obvious that he was peeking if he turned around to look, and if he tried to see her in the car's rear-view mirror, she would probably see his eyes in the mirror. In either case, if Sofia caught him trying to peek, then all of her goodwill for him that he had been nurturing would be destroyed. That was not a risk that Alex was willing to take. Besides, he had already seen what she looked like with a wet t-shirt clinging to her like a second skin, and so he could easily imagine what she looked like now, which reduced the need to actually peek. As for the visit to his in-laws, Alex had to say that it was one of the best ones yet, primarily because nothing had happened. Of course he did agree with Sofia that it had been a waste of time. With a little bit of luck, they could pick up Debra and still get to school on time.

Sofia dressed quickly and even took the contacts out before putting them away and putting her glasses on. She then crawled to the front seat due to the fact that she was in a hurry. So, it kind of meant that she had to pretty much lean all over Alex in order to sit down. She muttered an apology as she had one hand on his shoulder and the other pressing against the passenger window as she managed to get her legs over. Needless today their faces were inches away from one another though she made sure to look away before at last she was seated and drove off to pick up Debra which took about ten minutes and they now had about ten more minutes to head to school which was enough time.

If Debra had been concerned that Sofia and Alex weren't going to show up to give her a ride to school, she didn't show it whe she came out to the car. Alex had already decided that it would help him to win Sofia's favor if he were to make nice with her friend. "Good morning, Debra," he said cheerfully, and in an attempt to tailor a compliment to fit Debra's personality as Alex perceived it, he added, "You're looking particularly morbid this morning." Debra looked surprised that Alex had actually spoken to her, and then she laughed out loud. Taking his remark as the compliment that it was meant to be, she teasingly replied, "Why, thank you, Alex! So good of you to notice. And may I say that you are looking particularly... gimpy today?" Turning her attention to Sofia, she added, "And you look like you are feeling much better today. It must have been the chicken noodle soup. Works every time."

There was no doubt that Sofia wanted to go right out and ask why Alex was acting this way. But despite her being naive she began to analyze this while driving off toward school. Before she would actually go about analyzing everything she replied, "Yes, thank you, the soup was also very delicious to eat, thank you a lot for watching over me even though it wasn't necessary." She glanced over at Debra through the rear view mirror and threw her a warm smile. Now, back to understand what Alex was up to. He wasn't the type to really pay attention to those that were out of the norm and were invisible to the whole school. Why try and make nice with Debra? It wasn't like he was going to go around and acknowledge her at school. That's what Sofia hated the most with some people. She hated how they would be nice and actually like a person who wasn't popular but the moment they were in school they would ignore the person and go about their like the assholes they are. She didn't really want to believe that Alex was one of those but considering that he was the most popular guy and hottest guy in school there was a large possibility.

Sofia parked the car and like all the other days she got out and helped Alex out before heading to class. They had made it right on time too since the bell just rang and they had about seven minutes to get to class. Thinking back on the situation she then wondered if he was doing all of this to actually get her to like him...to win her favor. Why? Did he really like her more than she thought he did? Was it possible that her husband was actually falling in love with her? The whole idea was crazy! She shook her thoughts away and simply went to class with the three of them. It was another day of notes though they had finished early today so he had everyone just sit and talk in class for the next ten minutes. Now was a good time for Debra to go around taking down notes from the other couples. Meanwhile Sofia would simply sit there and continue to try and analyze what has happened last night. In one night they kissed and she saw him completely naked. In fact she just realized that he pretty much saw her naked as well though her white shirt did smudge the image a bit. Either way she sat there blushing at the thought of it all. Her heart yet again pounding against her chest.

Ordinarily Alex wouldn't be the least bit concerned about what Sofia might be thinking about, but today he was somewhat curious. The fact that she was blushing for no apparent reason suggested that her mind was on the previous night. Alex could have said something to her, but he couldn't think of anything that wouldn't embarrass her even more, and so he decided to see what their classmates were doing at the moment. He watched in amusement as Debra made the mistake of choosing to interview the 'couple' that obviously weren't getting along, and then made the mistake of asking them about why they thought that their pretend marriage was going wrong. The two began to talk at the same time, and they did their best to talk over the other as they tried to make their respective points. Debra managed to get a few notes from the babble of accusations and counter-accusations, and then she quickly excused herself to go on to a different 'couple', whom appeared to be doing well with their pretend marriage.

Sofia hand tuned into the other couples as well to get her mind out of what had happened last night. It was amusing to say the least listening to some couples and how different their experiences as a 'couple' was. In fact there was one where the guy and the girl actually started to like each other through this exercise. So it seemed that she and Alex were going through the same thing. How odd. She glanced over at Alex for a moment though she wanted to look away she found herself staring at him. She never paid attention to a persons appearance but now sitting here she couldn't help but depict certain features on his face and how his shoulders were broad...My god, why hadn't she noticed how hot he was before? This was bad...if she continued to stare at him he would soon find her staring and that would be completely embarrassing, but the thing was...she couldn't peel her eyes off of him.

Alex was fully aware of the fact that Sofia was staring at him. After all, when one was as popular as Alex, one tended to notice when one had the attention of some pretty girl. The fact that Sofia was the girl in question at the moment was unique. Like in most cases, Alex chose to pretend that he hadn't noticed that Sofia was staring at him. With another girl, he would do so because to indicate to the girl that he was aware of her interest in him was to invite unwanted attention from that girl. In Sofia's case, she would probably become embarrassed again if she thought that he was aware of the fact that she was looking at him, which was something that he wanted to avoid. Besides, he was enjoying the attention that she was giving to him for a change. Debra had noticed as well, and she chose to not say anything about it, at least while others were around. She was even more puzzled than before. First Alex actually spoke to her with some respect, and now Sofia was staring at Alex like she found him to be attractive. Debra soon concluded that something must have happened since she had seen Sofia and Alex last. Whatever that something might be, it was certain to be something interesting enough for her to include it in the 'lessons learned' report that she was supposed to turn in to their teacher. Debra was reasonably certain that she could get Sofia to open up to her once they had some privacy to talk.

It flt odd and just...weird. Sofia was just as curious as Debra as to why she was staring at him so much. Finally she managed to look away and look back down at her book and tried focusing on reading...a chapter she had already red. There was still that light blush upon her cheeks but the quicker she let the words enter her mind she calmed down and felt a lot better. The ten minutes had felt so slow but before she knew it the bell rang. It was time to head off though normally she would be quick to leave this time she sat there for a moment and slowly put her things away. By the time she even stood up the class was empty though the only ones remaining where her, Alex and Debra. She didn't speak as she simply walked out of the class with Debra bright behind her. Then like usual the two simply walked to class together. This was probably not the best time for Debra to ask her question do to the crowed hall ways. Lunch in the music room would be her best shot.

The remainder of the classes Sofia had were difficult to stay tuned. Her mind would wonder on last night then during first period where she stared at him. At one point she had the teacher call her name for the third time and asked what the answer was for the question he had asked. Naturally enough she answered correctly despite the fact that she heard half the question, though she still couldn't help but feel embarrassed that she had barely heard the teacher call her name. She was far too lost in her thoughts about Alex.

Usually she didn't like lunch time, but today she was happy for the break and she could sort out her priorities during this time. She made her way to the music room where she met up with Debra and began to unpack the lunch she brought. Of course Alex had the same thing, so today he wouldn't be forced to eat the nasty school food but the food she made. It was always a meal for lunch time and she tended to make his favorite all the time, his friends no doubt jealous that he got to eat a decent meal unlike the rest of them forced to shovel down cafeteria food.

As soon as Debra and Sofia were both in the relative privacy of the music room, Debra turned to Sofia and demanded, "Alright, out with it! What happened last night? And don't try to tell me that nothing happened because I know that something did happen. Alex was actually trying to be nice to me in a way that he thought that I'd appreciate, and at the end of first period, you were totally digging on Alex. Oh, and if I noticed, then you can be sure that Alex noticed too, although I can't explain why he didn't do or say anything about it. So, just what happened last night?"

CRAP. Crap. Crap. Crap. She was found out and now Debra was demanding her to tell her what had happened last night! What the hell was she suppose to tell her exactly? This would end in utter embarrassment but she figured she had to tell Deb...she would continue to ask anyway. Sofia took a deep breath and looked at her friend already as red as a beat. "I...what happened...it's just that..." She couldn't seem to find the right words for some reason though the more Debra stared at her the more anxious she grew. "Okay okay! Alex....k-kissed me last night and t-told me th-that he l-liked me more than I thought he d-did..." She did not include the shower event since that was too more information and if she told Debra she'd probably be blushing so much that she would get a nose bleed. "Th-thats wh-what happened..." Sofia had no clue how she would react to such news.

"He did?" Debra asked with a mixture of surprise and interest, "Well... that's good, right? Everyone says that he doesn't like you at all. Not that I pay attention to what everyone else says. If you ask me, though, I say that there's no reason for why he shouldn't like you." Debra got the feeling that Sofia wasn't telling her everything, but Debra knew better than to press the issue, at least as far as trying to find out what else that had happened. "What kind of a kiss was it?" she then asked, "One of those quick 'Surprise! I kissed you!' kind of kisses, or was it one of those deeply passionate kisses that seem to go on forever and forever and that leaves you breathless when it finally ends?" For being such an anti-social person, Debra seemed to be very interested in kissing.

This certainly wasn't a topic of interest in Sofia's mind but for some reason she didn't want to deny Debra the information she was seeking. She thought about it for a moment and finally replied, "A little of both I suppose...Honestly it wasn't really a quick surprised kiss. I was too far lost in my mind to realize he was actually leaning toward me and by the time I snapped out of it he was kissing me. It did last awhile since I sat there like an idiot trying to process what was going on." Again a blush grew on her face as she glanced down in embarrassment, one hand rising up as she put her fingers against her lips softly. There was no denying there was some tenderness and some passion in the kiss. She then muttered, "I pulled away and made dinner afterwards..."

After a moment of thought, Debra said, "So, what you're saying then is that he kissed you, and told you that he likes you, and that was it. I guess that proves that he does like you. If he was just interested in fooling around, then he would have been all grabby and demanding. To be honest, it sounds like you and Alex were doing something that a couple would normally do. That doesn't explain why Alex is being nice to me, though."

Meanwhile, Alex and Greg were eating in the cafeteria. After looking at Alex's lunch, Greg asked, "Did you fix that yourself?" "No, Sofia fixed it for me. Doesn't want me to get stuck with the lousy food here in the cafeteria," Alex replied. "Really?" Greg inquired with some interest, "Didn't realize that she knew her way around a kitchen." Alex nodded and stated, "This lunch is simple compared to what she fixed for supper last night. One thing that I've been learning recently is that just because someone doesn't look talented, that doesn't mean that he or she isn't talented. As the old saying goes, you can't judge a book by it's cover." Greg nodded as well and said, "I suppose you're right." Brandy and Team Bimbo, minus Shanique, happened to walk past just then, and as soon as they were out of hearing range, Alex continued, "Brandy, however, is like a magazine, and a magazine's cover is just a sample of what's inside." Greg laughed at that and replied, "Truer words have not been spoken! What magazine would you say that Brandy happens to be? Playboy or Penthouse?" Alex considered that for a moment and stated, "Penthouse. Definitely Penthouse."

Sofia could honestly say that she wasn't awake of such a thing. Was it possible that they were really doing what couples normally did. Though her last statement did make her think some more. It was an excellent thing to try and figure out. Why was he being nice to her? Sofia looked at Debra and said, "Perhaps....maybe he's being nice to you to...please me?" That idea was ridiculous! She shook her head and chuckled, "No, no that can't be it...can it?" She looked at her and sighed before diving into her lunch.
