"Remy!" Max cheered, happily jogging over for a hug.
"Hello again," she greeted with a smile. "It's interesting to see the artist in his natural habitat. I thought I would stop by, see some of my old acquaintances...maybe offer some gratitude."
"...gratitude?" Max asked, arms still wrapped around Remy. He felt comfortable, especially with Elizabeth in the room.
"But of course...after all, were you not integral in the fall of Cameron Trent? He was a rather large thorn in my side for quite some time...it's comforting to know he won't trouble anyone for a while."

"Heh...good to see you too." he smiled, nuzzling her slightly before looking up. "The artist in his natural habitat...well, it's hardly natural. Anyway, yeah, so long as you're not causing trouble, hang out! And, yeah...she's got a point. You took out that Trent guy, and that's something to be proud of."
"Pretty good now...just finished chatting with your mother, she's talking over taking in Emmy with Claude." he smiled. "But if you wanna cuddle...what say we grab a couch, so I can see your pretty face?"

"Oh, I totally am!" She said, looking up with a beaming smile. "Didn't know you knew 'im, Liz."
"He was a regular at one of my restaurants...someone offered me a business venture with him, but he turned out to be the worst mistake I've ever made," she admitted, glancing away with a bitter expression. "I did the art show 'cause I felt I owed you for taking him out of the picture."
"I didn't exactly do it for you, but you're welcome," Max gave a somewhat awkward grin. Everything she figured about Elizabeth was being rewritten before her eyes. "Oh...I think I heard something about a new business venture for you?"
"That's the best part of it...not only is my safety assured, I'm getting revenge. You're looking at the newest majority owner of Trent Technologies...or what's left of it, at least. They were selling it off in bite-size pieces, so I don't know who got what I couldn't grab."

Howard re-entered with a tuna-sandwich, two plates of tri-tip, and a filet mignon for Elizabeth, placing trays in front of everyone.
"Enjoy, all."
Albee got back up, splaying his arms.
"T-Tada!"

"Max here didn't want to blow her cover with Ixion as the artist's girlfriend," Elizabeth explained. "Not to mention she couldn't actually afford his price...she gave me the outfit and the basic character, and voila! I waltz in, buy the piece instead, and everyone's happy. She didn't tell me, though, that you were extremely talented. I went back later for another..."
Max chuckled nervously, glancing up to Remy. "I thought I told ya 'bout that...better than hittin' MacPere up for the funds..."
"Oh, my!" Elizabeth said in surprise as she was served. She had to challenge chefs more often, if this was what she got out of it. "Perhaps you should join me for lunch..."
Tyler walked down the stairs, glancing forward at Max and Remy talking to a face he found all too familiar. His eyes narrowed, one hand balling into a fist as he stuck close to the wall, finding a place in the corner. Neutral Ground...wait until she leaves...

Howard bowed dramatically.
"If I happen to be around I shall gladly accompany you for lunch. Really, I just cooked that 'cuz everyone aaaalways has to say something like 'Ooh, give me your best dish' or 'Ooh, give me your signature dish' or 'Ooh, surprise me.' Not that I mind, but all of my dishes are special, so I have no one specialty."

"All of them, hm?" Elizabeth asked slyly, carefully slicing a small piece. "Many make that claim...let's see if yours is well-founded..."
Max turned back to Remy, satisfied in knowing that she had inadvertently gained Elizabeth's favor. While she normally kept a huge distance between herself and that sort of business...she couldn't help but feel that she honestly was trying to turn things around. As she glanced behind Remy and to the corner, though...there was someone who was obviously skeptical, judging by his expression.
"Looks like Ty's bein' a sourpuss," Max whispered to Remy, not wanting to interrupt Liz's meal.
Noticing he was spotted, the genius stood up, glare never wavering, and slunk off to the kitchen. Howard's cooking was making him hungry, and he wanted an excuse to break eye contact.
