"My weapon of choice, yes...not why I'm a Pentacle, but it is why I'm here." Terry looked to the man who just stumbled down the stairs. "My...no shirt, no problem, it seems!"
"Mmmm...." Max was again face-down into that throw pillow, loving the attention even though she knew Remy had to be extra careful. He was really good at gauging his strength, and for that she was thankful...
"That's Howard...he's kind of joined the Inn as our chef..." Sosol explained. It wouldn't take long for him to be well-established, especially with how he charmed over Elizabeth with that cuisine...well, at least until Tyler gave her tastebuds a thorough torching.

"New guy, huh? Maybe I'll fix you up my new-guy-special then in the kitchen. My hands seem to missing the callouses of the ol' pot and pan."
Albee sipped his apple juice.
"What's a Pentable?"
"Pentacle, Albee."
"Yeah."

"It's not? I've always been shaky on the qualifications in that part...and yeah, clothing's a kinda flexible notion, here...since that bit around Christmas with the fundoshi, the standards are pretty liberal." he chuckled.

"Mmmnn..." Max turned her head for a moment. "Yeah...lots of searching...lots of stress..."
"Well, if you're talking about normally, it's one of these." Sosol made a quick doodle on a cocktail napkin, holding it up. "The GMO uses it to symbolize people who have physical proficiencies, like Terry here."
"I'll keep that in mind..." Terry said, his voice trailing off before remembering Gren being a little shaky on qualifications. "Mastering a weapon doesn't make for a pentacle. A completely normal person, with enough training, can do so easily...and in fact, many do. Pentacles usually have something odd, physically...for instance, and I'd hate to speak of him behind his back, but Mr. MacPere qualified as a level two because of that tail and what it can do for him."
"Aren't the results confidential...?" Tyler asked suspiciously, glancing back at him.

"Yes, please feel free to help yourself." he said kindly before giving a curious look to Terry while giving MacPere an absent scratch to the scalp. "Aren't they?"
Remy nodded, tracing outward spirals in the tenser points to release some of the knots.

Albee's stare was blank, then broke into a smile.
"I only got about half of that mister! But it sure does make you sound cool, for sure!"
Howard chopped at some onions and slid them into a pot of boiling water along with some other ingredients.
"Hmm, hope he doesn't mind this..."
He took a swig of some red wine, then poured it into the pot.

"Huh? Oh! No rituals tonight. Sorry for the confusion..." Sosol's voice trailed off as he looked at the child. "I'm not sure I caught your name."
"They most certainly are!" Terry answered with a resolute nod before realizing how incriminating this seemed. "I-I didn't look, if that's what you're implying..."
"So, rumors or assumptions, then?" Tyler asked, clearly curious and a little disconcerted. Terry knew a bit too much about them...
"A bit of both...I heard about the general result, and figured it had to be about the tail, which is awesome, by the way! Love the tail." Terry yawned slightly, shaking it off. "Anyway...I'm apparently here to help train some of you to avoid a chain...?"
Max flinched slightly as he hit a particularly knotted patch, trying to force herself to relax. This was the only way to get it out...

Gren smiled, having reached a decision that Terry was a perfectly nice man that one must be careful around. "That's right...I'm more of a rifleman, myself..."
A snuffle from the couch caught his attention more. Nodding, he helped MacPere up. "Excuse me...he needs to get to bed." he said politely, leading the way.
"S-sorry...say something if it's too hard, okay?"

"Ah, training!"
Albee jumped to his feet.
"I haven't had training for a while! It seems doctor's been so busy that he doesn't try to attack me anymore..."
Howard turned away and sneezed away from the finished meal.
"Dumbo's talking about me again."
The cook stepped back out of the kitchen with a tray, setting it on the counter nearest Terry.
"A new-guy-special, sir. Your choice between mozzarella sticks, a caesar salad, chicken cubes, a combination of two, or all three. Help yourself, I'm pretty sure I made enough for everyone."
He counted around the room, then nodded.

"That's right. A lot of people around here just call me Sol for short." He nodded, that friendly grin almost always plastered onto his face. "It's not very often that I meet someone well-versed in magic outside our organization...then again, there is Fenyx...either way, lovely to have you here. I hope you find it comfortable."
Tyler shifted his attention to Myra...the kid couldn't be over ten, and he was some sort of mage? Why do I get the idea that this is another one of those 'I look young, but I'm not' moments?
Terry stood with a yawn, but the arrival of a rather odd dinner platter brought him back to sitting again. "Well, I trust your judgment, good sir..." He said, trying the trio of dishes with a nod of approval at each. "A rather odd combination, but it works!"

You know, when I first left home, I met a traveler who was trying to learn all the worlds recipes. the thing was, the only thing they could cook was pork. I'll be cursed the day that i say that her food wasn't the best I had tasted in years. About a year later, the girl and I stopped traveling together, because she had found the one thing she always wanted, a perfect chef, who wished for an understudy. Not only that, but the next time I saw her, she could cook beef! I wonder how she's doing now...
