Remy sighed, going back to his painting. If he couldn't do it, Azana certainly could.
Gren nodded. "So far, all that I've heard of her from you is about her beauty. I'm sure you could go on about everything else in the world she's done, but...have you ever asked her how she felt? What she thought?"

"Not broken. Pieced together."
Albee's voice now sounded like a conglomeration of voices; the voice of a teenager, a child, and an adult. When he stood to his feet, the first clear fact was that he had none. His legs had dissolved into a puff of blue smoke that attached at his waist like a mermaid's tail. His shirt had disappeared, replaced with a blue cashmere vest to bare his chest and arms. As for his hair, it had lengthened enormously, now boundin several places to separate it into segments. His body was generally that of his child form, though his eyes seemed to be full of deep memory.
"I have been fully awakened, albeit for a moment."
Enra whistled.
"I'm good Sol, but... Shiny dude here."
Howard's eyes widened.
"Ah ****, I'm in trouble..."

"There's a lot of ways it could've been different," Tyler replied, cleaning off his glasses. "She could have told us the truth, or called for help when they were outnumbered. You didn't know. None of us did. Things turned out the way they did, and there's no undoing that. As soon as there's a spare moment, we'll find out who was responsible...and you're welcome to do whatever you like."
"I..." Terry felt silent, suddenly feeling quite the idiot. "...y-you're right...I haven't...ah, I'm such a fool!"
"You done being dramatic?" Azana asked, a slightly annoyed expression on her face. Honestly, every couple of months, it seemed, he had a new "girl of his dreams"...though on occasion it was a man...she shook her head. "We should get at least one lesson in today..."

Enta came down the stairs, freshly showered and dressed in a stunning blue outfit, but paused mid step, staring at the floating Djinn. "Wh-what's going on?"

"You do seem to be a fool of sorts."
Enra answered Enta, though he still looked on.
"My niece's boyfriend seems to have made a transformation of some sort. We're watching to see what happens next."

Albee turned to the catboy, a smile of an inscrutable emotion still about his face.
"That is what I am called in these parts."
Albee wisped about and went to a chair, the wispssitting in the chair as if they were his legs.
"And you, young sir, would be...?"

"You're right, as well, Azana," he said with a saddened nod. Finally, people who took his love seriously, and he was being pulled from them so soon. "I assume I should use a practice blade to start...?" He looked to the awakened Albee, rather surprised that he was a djinn, but not quite as much by the appearance. Pretty par for the course.
"Wouldn't hurt," she said, glancing over the Inn's main room. She didn't know who had what experience...better safe than sorry. Personally, she didn't mind leaping in full-force, but that educational style wasn't always appreciated. "So...who's up first?" As for Albee, he had been shifting so much that another really didn't faze her...he did look pretty cool, though.

Albee turned his attention from the catboy and made it to his feet... er, smoke.
"I would like to be among the first to be tested."
The smoke underneath him solidified into two legs wearing what resembled a much more graceful form of sweat pants. He brushed his hands through his hair and it twisted, forming a gigantic bun on his back.
Albee cracked his neck and stretched himself out.
"I have been out of practice, and I will need such assistance."
Howard, who had sat and watched, found that he had avoided danger, though he still stayed hidden behind the counter.

"Hm, I've never had to attack a djinn before...this may be a learning experience for the both of us," Terry said with a grin, heading upstairs to pick out a practice blade. While in his room, he jotted down a note to write a letter to Stella when he was next able. He was not letting their advice go to waste!
Azana watched Albee with interest, noticing Sosol's rather neutral reaction. Howard must be back there. "Quite the makeover...Terry may be a little goofy, but he knows chain weapons better than anyone I know. He'll make sure our willpower stays our own."

"Well, I do suppose starting in an open area would be best," Terry explained as he walked downstairs with a rather bizarre-looking practice blade. "Confined spaces make wielding a chain weapon more difficult, but we can cover that, too, if there's time. I do believe there is a sort of field nearby, is there not?"
"Yeah...the old battleground's about as flat as it gets," Azana confirmed. "Practically no chance of us tripping over anything."
"It's perfect!" Terry exclaimed happily. "Shall we head over, then?"
