"And you tell me this as though I do not know..." He murmured under his breath, raising his wrist and brushing back the sleeve to his shirt for the time. "Well, I have real work to be getting on with... don't mind, do you? Have fun fawning over futility~"
Bowing his head to the man, smirk on his lips, MacPere gave chibi Gren a pat on the head and left, jogging downstairs to his car.
(He seems to be rather catty today - oh dear.)

Terry clenched a fist, glaring at the banker as he left the room. Looking to Stella's troubled dreams, it became increasingly difficult not to chase that red-headed a** down and--
Get myself thrown out, he reminded himself, though it did little to calm him. He'd have his chance...just not yet. "What in heaven's name did you ever see in him?" He asked the sleeping CEO quietly.
"Well, might as well get this odd experiment overwith," Sosol shrugged. "Howard, I'm leaving the batter to you."
Kristen returned the materia to her forearm, feeling it mesh with her almost immediately. "Fire." A small fireball in hand, she worked on controlling its heat...this would make all the difference as far as cooking it properly.
"Wow...wish I had a video camera."

Howard was already on his way into the kitchen, preparing the process in his head to make it as quick as possible. Albee sat in his seat and watched the materia go into her arm as the fire spurted from her arm, eyes glistening.
"Whuzzat ball thingie?"

"It is a materia...a gift from a former patron of the Inn. They have many different capabilities, depending on their source and color. Mine is, for lack of a better analogy, an encapsulated fire spell that I may use at will. Its strength will grow with practice." Kristen knew better than to show off Fira from within the kitchen, but she did generate another fireball.
Stella flinched in her sleep, beginning to shiver slightly.
Terry, still fuming about the banker, stood up and immediately went for the closet and an extra blanket. Futility...? It's people like him that absolutely disgust me. That beauty, just a mask...

Howard was steadily mixing the batter, though he wasn't sure what was going to happen entirely...
Albee watched on, clapping his hands.

"It is considerably more impressive than that, my djinn friend," Kristen protested. "I merely cannot display its potential within the Inn."
Sosol leaned against a counter, still in disbelief that they were trying this...he had to keep the batter in a sphere while Kristen baked it manually. By far one of the weirdest applications of their abilities.
Azana, meanwhile, had put on her visor, using it to take in the data. James would get a kick out of it.
Terry carefully draped the blanket over Stella, unable to sit back down in his agitated state. It probably shouldn't have gotten under his skin as much as it had, but he knew...how it had been, fruitlessly pursuing women for over a decade, probably closing in on two. This was probably the closest he had been...and it had required breaking down that mental image he had of her. Seeing her there, hearing some of her stories...she seemed a lot more human now. And in many ways, that just made her more attractive.

"How's it coming, Howard?" Sosol asked, wondering if he could even lift the batter properly, given its consistency...

Howard stepped out with a bowl of readied batter, nodding.

M.E. blinked at the events as they transpired. Well. Somewhere in his mind, he noted that everyone around here was probably crazy. Still, watching the blond woman...she hadn't done a single thing! So easy. That bigger guy with a braid was miffed, though, best help him out. He hopped onto Terry's shoulder. "Chrr-pii!" he squeaked, offering a gold dubloon.
Charlotte stared, mesmerized. "Dude. Who's gonna take the first bite of that thing?"

"I think Albee's got first dibs, though I'm sure he'll share it," Sosol chuckled, concentrating on the batter. This could either end really well, or really messy. Rather than trying to hold onto it, perhaps a sphere of force, just press in on all sides...
Well, if nothing else, I've learned a lot of really weird, completely impractical applications of psychokinesis here... He thought, slowly lifting it up. "Kristen."
The younger oracle nodded, a fire burning behind her hazel eyes as both fireballs began to grow. She walked toward Sosol, her heart racing even though she screamed at herself mentally to stay calm. Raising both hands, the head enveloped the pancake ball, the air around it wavy. "How long should we hold this, Howard...?"
"Hey there," Terry greeted it kindly, taking the coin with interest. "Where the hell did you keep this? It's almost as big as you!" He asked, finding the company of the miniature to be considerably more pleasant.
((Me and Sol? Sweet! Gren's probably getting tired of staring at his stuff in my signature!))
