"Well, I won't spoil it for you, then," Azana answered simply, nibbling at her last cookie. "I've met the guy once...and poor Tech sounds miserable out there with him."
"James left the lab? Holy crap, there might be hope for him yet!" Max joked, downing the rest of her milk and leaving a noticeable mustache. She took pride in it, especially since Remy almost always had one...though mostly he remembered to wipe it off.

Remy chuckled. "Not like that... I mean, yeah, with James out there, there's no doubt that there's Santa. I'm just a fan of simple magics." Grinning at Max, he cupped his chin in hand, leaning on an elbow. "Going for a record there? Ha ha!"

"Maybe," she answered, striking a pose. "It's sexy."
"Well, it does stand out against the outfit," Sosol leaned over, sneaking a kiss on Azana. "Come on, we should probably head up. Traveling tomorrow evening and all."
"...yeah. Still feels weird that I'm heading out for Christmas, and not on mission." She stood, giving her farewells to Max and Remy before heading up arm in arm with Sosol. "So, how are we getting there?"
"Well, the Cloak would probably be easier, though we can switch to the broom later if you're hoping to make an entrance," he said, their voices trailing off as they vanished from sight.

Enra's eyes fluttered open once, then squeezed shut as he yawned, smacking his lips. Laura was next to him a second time in the morning, breathing quietly as she clutched at his arm in her sleep. His bandanna had slipped off her head finally, falling between his and her pillow. He took it up and looked it over with a sigh. Taking two opposite ends, he wove it under her left arm and tied it snugly around the upper part of it, leaving two large protrusions of orange coming out of the knot. Enra smiled.
"Early Christmas, darling."
Slipping his arm out of her grasp, he stepped out of bed and back into his clothes, walking into his room to find his four favorite tanuki sleeping rather soundly. He'd never seen them so quiet, it was a pleasant sight. Grabbing a notebook he'd bought some time ago, he continued to write in it as he had for a while, scribbling down whatever he could think of. He was hoping to make this Laura's second present: a collection of his thoughts and memories with her of the days he had left. He returned to Laura's room, still scribbling down this and that as he slipped back into bed with her.

Enta sighed as he reluctantly slipped out from his covers, yawning widely and stretching. Changing into something different, he woke the chibi on his pillow. "Come on, Ra. Wakey Wakey." He said quietly, lightly shaking the chibi with a finger.

Enta laughed and detached the chibi from his front, instead placing him on the shoulder of his kimono. "Guess someone's hungry!" He chuckled as he headed down the stairs.
