Erik somehow suspected he was going to regret ever doing this, he sighed, this was not going to be any fun for him. "Since when did you decide to start helping me?" He was interested in Angeles' angle, he was somewhat certain she hated him and anybody else he came in contact with. "What the--Fenyx?" Ultima shook his head and stabbed the tape. "Have you gone crazy or something?" Slinging the scythe over his shoulder, Ultima prepared to embark on a long journey to beat up Fenyx.

"We will start out easy, with the basics, see how much you can read, how much math you can do," she looked back and smiled at him, "same time I decided to give up on hatred," she pulled him into her room, kicking at the dust on the ground. She moved towards her bookshelf and took off an old book, Of Mice and Men, and set it before him, "read just the first page to me," she said, pulling off Alice in Wonderland as well.

Erik looked at the book catiously and sighed. "Alright then..." Okay...he was already basically lost in a world of twisted shapes that people said were letters, reading it shouldn't be so hard. "Just...give me a moment." He said, grinding his teeth. "Really, he's right there?" Ultima balanced the new Fenyx on his foot and kicked it in to the air. "Like I just asked, have you gone completely crazy or something?" Ultima whacked him back in to the air with the blunt edge of the scythe.

Angeles walked over and put her hand on his shoulder, looking at the page then at Erik. She left him alone as she went downstairs and began to look around, "can someone find me a good amount of blank paper?" she asked when she could not find any herself.

"Thank you," she said to Charlotte again with a smile. She turned and moved back to her room, rummaging through until she found a pencil and began to write down several mathematical problems ranging from addition to long division.

The pot of flowers floated in midair, and a circle of ice needles appeared around it. "One, no, I haven't gone crazy. I simply wanted to try my hand at being an evil overlord... though I did forget about Charlotte's powers. I will have to find something that negates them. Two, you should not start attacking a random plant. Form is unrelated to both power and knowledge; it simply dictates physical appearance and abilities. If I wanted to, I could freeze you, this entire inn, and the area surrounding it. So... you might still want to do that quest. You have two days. I will be waiting in my castle." The flowers vanished, and the needles fell in a neat circle surrounding Ultima.

Charlotte called out "Thanks for the reminder!" She snapped her fingers twice more. "Now you've got neither for a week. At least I'm letting you talk."
(Keep in mind, Charlotte changes reality with those fingers. You can't refute it. You can't undo it.)

Sosol smiled, humming a few bars of 'Auld Lang Syne' to himself as he brought a few bottles of sparkling wines and juices from chilling downstairs. A new year was approaching, and it had been a long one for many people in the Inn. Sending it on in favor of a new one was extremely appealing.
Stella was up oddly early, walking downstairs in a blue and silver cocktail dress, her two hairstick wands matching its hues through a relatively simple spectra spell. "Happy new year, Sol," she said, blowing on a noisemaker.

"Oh, goodness! You..." Stella smiled, taking in the sight. Gren didn't dress up often, but when he did...she had almost forgotten how well he cleaned up. "I'm more than ready to whip up some fireworks come midnight."
"These have been chilling downstairs for over a week," Sosol beamed, gesturing to the line of bottles. "Is Eli joining us...?"
