Lunch came around and rather than going to the music room to eat with Debra, she had told her that she would probably go speak about something with Alex, so she set out to the cafeteria to find him. It wasn't hard to really spot him considering his injury and he was the only one that was eating what she made for him. Already she could feel people looking at her and whispering about her but she paid little mind to them and simply came up to him a bit nervously as usual. "Do you mind if I talk to you for a bit? It's important.. and prefer to speak with you in private." She didn't look at him but more so that table since she still had trouble looking at him in the eye since she would still tend to blush if he did so.

While it wasn't that unusual for Sofia to be in the cafeteria, since she did eat there on occasion, it was unusual for her to ask to speak to him like that, especially since she was doing it in public. There really wasn't a reason for Alex to decline, and he was curious about what she wanted to talk about, and so he nodded and replied, "Sure! No problem!" As he stood up, he said to Greg, "Keep an eye on my lunch and make sure that no one steals it. And make sure that you don't steal it either." "Got it. No stealing," Greg said in return, and he added, "Have fun you two!" Greg then gave Alex a sly wink as if he knew what was going on, but he was just as clueless as Alex. Ignoring Greg, Alex waited for Sofia to lead him to where she wanted to talk in private.

Sofia had seen the wink Greg had given Alex and she quickly turned and walked off, blushing ever so slightly. She lead him out of the cafeteria and toward the library until they reached the section no one ever came to because those were the book no one cared for. It was the reason why this area had lights that were burnt out and the reason why the counters were dusty. She stood there and looked down for a moment before glancing up at him. She had told herself all morning and night that she had to gather the courage to come out and say what she wanted to say despite how embarrassing it was and of course she wasn't to sure what he would say to her after this.

"I uh...wanted to talk to you about something," she started but paused for a moment and glanced at him only to blush and look away again. "I have been thinking a lot about what you had told me during dinner the night you...you know.." Yes, she couldn't really bring up the fact that he had kissed her but she knew he would figure out what she was talking about. She then continued, "What did you mean when you said...y-you liked me more than I-I thought you did..?" At last she looked at him and didn't look away, she just stood there and waited for his response.

Alex let Sofia lead the way, and eventually they arrived in the deserted section of the library. If he had been with any other girl, going there would have brought up certain implications that probably wouldn't have occurred to Sofia. When he heard her question, he replied, "Oh. Well... um... let me put it to you this way. I used to think that you're this dorky rich girl who didn't know how to dress herself, but I don't think that anymore. In the time that we've been together, I've found out that you are kind, caring, skillful, intelligent, and very pretty too. Of course there wasn't any doubt about the intelligent part, but the other things weren't that obvious. I'm also starting to understand why you choose to dress that particular way, and if that's what you prefer, then that's your business, not anyone else's. I guess what I'm trying to get to is that I think that you're like an ideal wife, and that I'm glad to have you as my wife. Oh, and when we kissed the other night, that wasn't just an ordinary kiss. For me, it was special." That was all that he could think of to say at the moment, and so he paused to get Sofia's reaction.

Sofia listened to him diligently and already her face began to warm up and the blushing could clearly be seen and it was hard to hide considering her fair complexion though she didn't really prepare herself to hear him say that the kiss the other night was special to him. What did he mean by that?! Her heart was already pounding against her chest and she began to chicken out on what she had called him out there for. She fidgeted a bit and looked around as if trying to look for an excuse to leave but she was far too tongue tied to think of anything. So for a while they stood there in silence though she was simply going over what she wanted to say. It was no or never!

Taking a deep breath she glanced at him then stared at the floor as she hand her hands in front of her, one folded on to of the other, resting on her lap. She then began to say nervously, "W-well...this is all very confusing to me and I'm sure that's not surprising for you to hear and all...I never imagined getting married around this time in my life and I never thought I'd end up marrying a guy like you nor have I desired to do so. To me you were just another popular rude guy who didn't care about anyone but himself. Of course for some time it seemed that way but little by little I was seeing that I was more wrong than right. Over the course of the small amount of time we've been with one another...under the same roof. It seems that I've...that I...maybe...might have developed...some sort of like towards you as well." Sofia blushed heavily at this point and continued to stare at the ground, not too confident to dare to look up at him.

Even though he didn't let it show, Alex was just a little bit confused by what she had said. Not all of it, though, just the 'might have developed some sort of like' part. It wasn't the kind of romantic mush that one would expect from a girl. On the other hand, Sofia was so shy about everything that what she had just said was to be regarded as a major concession on her part. The important thing was that she had actually said that she liked him. Smiling at her, Alex replied, "I like you too." Following on the old saying of 'Actions speak louder than words' and taking action before she had a chance to think or do anything, he raised her head and gently kissed her on the lips. He had gotten away with it once, and so he should be able to get away with it again, provided that he didn't take it further than that just yet.

If she could have moved, Sofia would have quickly turned after her confession and walked straight out, not waiting to hear or see his reaction. Of course being the person she was, she simply stood there frozen and too afraid to move any of her limps. Her blush had only deepened when Alex had said that he liked her too which deep down was a great relief. Sofia took in a deep breath and wanted to say something but it had been too late for that. Before she could realize what was happening she already felt his lips upon hers and currently their faces were mere inches from one another. This very spot she could see his eyes and the color of them. She couldn't understand why she could not have seen it before and how different he really was compared to most of the guys. Perhaps he was one that fell from the norm but was just stuck with going with the flow of things. Nonetheless she certainly did find herself standing alone with him but him having her kiss her, rather than her going in for the kiss like any eager girl in this school would have done. Needless to say all this thinking had the kiss last way longer and she did not pull away this time.

((OOC: I dub them as a horribly cute couple XD too bad it gets all ******** up =.= lol))

Alex was pleased that the kiss lasted much longer than their first kiss, which was a sing a progress, as was the fact that she didn't run away. There was the temptation to kiss her again, only more passionately, but he resisted it, knowing that he could mess up this special moment. Instead, he merely gave her another smile as he took her hands in his and gave them a loving squeeze. They probably would have stood there in silence for quite a while longer if the librarian hadn't have shown up just then. After giving them a suspicious look, the librarian tartly asked, "May I help you with finding something?" The librarian had a feeling that she already knew why these two students were there in the deserted part of the library, but she chose to give them the benefit of a doubt.

As they stood there, her hands in his, she was ready to say something again but the librarian came and pretty much ruined the moment. She slowly pulled her hands out of his and turned to the woman and simply said, "Sadly no. It seems that this library doesn't hold the proper Psychology book with the right edition. I thought we'd find it here but guess not. Thank you though." She smiled and walked away with Alex, that whole time suppressing the blush and by the time they exited the library the bell rang so lunch was over. Sofia wasn't sure what to do so she simply said, "I'll meet you at the entrance after school and we'll head to the car together..." she glanced at him and blushed, smiling before turning and leaving, heading off to class. She had bumped into Debra but at that moment she didn't have the guts to tell her what had happened. She simply told Debra the same thing, that she would meet her by the entrance and that they would all head to the car together.

Debra was intensely curious about what it was that Sofia had said to Alex, especially when she saw how Sofia was acting when lunch came to an end. She suspected that something had happened besides a conversation, like some more kissing, but she chose to wait until Sofia was ready to talk about it. Alex had gone back to collect the rest of his lunch. Greg was still waiting for him, and he remarked, "Too bad you didn't get the chance to finish eating." "I'll finish between classes," Alex replied, since the food was too good to let it go to waste. "So, what did you guys do?" Greg asked. "We went to the library where we wouldn't be disturbed and we talked," Alex informed him. "And?" Greg prompted. "And we kissed," Alex continued, thinking that it was safe to mention that part to his friend, "And that was it." Frowning, Greg asked in disappointment, "That's all?" "Well, what did you expect me to say? That we made mad passionate love in the dark corner of the library? Even if we had wanted to, we'd never get away with it," Alex retorted. Greg conceded that with a nod and said, "True. But you thought about it, didn't you?" "If I did, I certainly wouldn't tell you about it," Alex countered, and then he changed the subject by saying, "Time to get back in class!"

The rest of the day was filled with nothing but day dreaming and trying not to sit there and blush like an idiot as well as smile like something good just happened. That would certainly prompt people to wonder what the hell was wrong with her though then again in their heads, what wasn't wrong with her. She sat in her final class which happened to be band and played along with the others as they continued practicing, today there would be no need to stay after school to practice for long hours if we were perfect now. The beginning started with a piano solo and the end ended with a piano solo so it was all on her to start it up and end it on a perfect note. Of course by now Sofia was used to that type of pressure. Time and time again her mother would yell at her to get it right and to pick up the speed etc. At piano recitals she would do her best only to always find the seats where her mother and father should have been, completely empty and only her nanny and the driver would be there cheering for her. What a sad childhood she had. The only times she did feel happy was when she got to play with the maids and butlers but only when both her parents were gone which was rare, in the fact that her mother only left rarely though her father was always gone. A reason she was so naive and clueless about guys now was because she lacked a father figure in her life. What she would give to go back in time and be born into a normal loving family where money wasn't used to buy her out. As a child all she ever wanted was a loving mother and father, instead all she got was expensive clothes and toys and a friend was never easy to find. All her friends would only dare hang out with her because of her status so when she began to show an ounce of a good looking appearance around the time girls and boys normally began to start dating she hid herself the best way she could. She may have been naive but she was smart enough to know that if a friend could just use her for her status and money a boy was no different and she was not ready to just let a guy take her heart and stomp on it.

Times were different now but even as she sat there playing, she couldn't help but fear what she had just done. Sofia now accepted the fact that she had feelings for Alex and even went and kissed him but she began to wonder if she should have done that. What if all of it was a lie? A man could easily lie and deceive a woman just to get what he wanted as well as a woman doing so to a man. This life was filled with untrustworthy people, could she really trust Alex not to break her heart? With the final note she sighed heavily but heard her conductor and he certainly was very pleased with the outcome. He clapped and once the bell ran he dismissed everyone. She certainly knew that her music teacher was someone to trust and she was glad about that. Sofia gathered her things and left the classroom to meet up with Debra who happened to be a couple people in front of her so she quickly moved passed them and caught up with her. She smiled and walked with her toward the entrance where Alex happened to be already. The halls quickly emptied out as the two walked slowly. As they walked Sofia said, "I know you want to know what happened during lunch. See the thing is...I told Alex that I..."

Before she could really finish what she was going to say, she heard someone call out Alex's name and so she looked to see a girl rush to him and hug him before kissing him. It wasn't a kiss on the cheek nor was it a quick one, it was a deep kiss upon the lips and in that instant Sofia could already guess who she was. Everyone knew about Alex's ex....girlfriend and how she had moved and they lost contact but who knew if they had really broken up. Sofia had forgotten about that but now here she was standing here feeling a stabbing pain in her chest. Of course she quickly looked away and would not bother to stand there and look like an idiot. "I told him I'd be getting something from my Biology class and I'll meet you guys by the car soon..." she said though that was a complete lie as she turned and left toward her classroom. No way he would really push away the girl he once loved away right? She had left and therefore there was not much reason why they had broken up other than that she was living far away now. So how could Sofia compete again such a beautiful girl. This was stupid, she was stupid for allowing herself to feel that way toward him. Now she just regretted ever saying anything, she should have kept her mouth shut.

Meanwhile the girl had let go and looked at him with a big smile, clearly filled with joy to see him. Her name was Helen Miller and there was one time where she was the popular girl within this school. Now, she was back and was not planning on leaving. “I couldn’t believe it so I had to find a way to come back and see with my own eyes. Does it hurt? And also...you really aren't married are you?” She chuckled and clung on to his arm and added, "Word travels and usually of course would reach me Alex. I missed you so much! Now we can be together again, I convinced my parents to let me move back here and live with my aunt. I don't care that you're married, I know that you'll probably get a quick divorce anyway. I'm just so happy to see you!"

Debra had been eagerly waiting for Sofia to tell her about what had been going on during lunch, but just as Sofia was about get to the good stuff, she stopped talking. Just like Sofia, Debra looked around to see who had called out Alex's name. Of course she had no idea about who that other girl was. All that she knew was that the girl was smooching with Alex, and that was enough for Debra to form a very strong opinion about the other girl. Up until that point, Brandy had been at the top of Debra's 'Girls I hate' list, but that wasn't true anymore. As for Sofia, she babbled something about her Biology class and scampered away. There was no need for an explanation about why Sofia had left so quickly. Scowling, Debra muttered to herself, "If what Sofia said just now was what she had intended to say before that other girl showed up, then I'm an Amazon treefrog!" At the same time, she decided that it was time for a little intrusive friendship, and so she boldly walked up to Alex and the other girl. "Hey Alex! Sofia said that she had to get something from her Biology class and that she'll meet us at the car!" Debra called out, and after looking the other girl over from head to foot, she cattily asked, "So, who's this? Your kissing cousin?"

User Image

It happened so fast that it took Alex a couple moments to figure out what was going on. He had heard someone call out his name, and when he had turned to look, he found himself being glomped and kissed. An observer might have thought that his hands were on the girl's arms to hold her close, but in reality he was trying to push her away. Once he finally recognized the girl and heard what she had to say, he knew that he was in some deep, deep trouble. "Wow! Hellen!" he said when he could finally speak again, "This is really a... surprise!" Truth to tell, the word that he wanted to say instead of 'surprise' was 'nightmare', but he kept that to himself. Things then took a turn for the worse when Debra showed up, which was almost as bad as Sofia showing up. Thanks to the fact that Helen had kept him so distracted with her hug and kiss, he hadn't noticed that Sofia had already seen Helen and had recognized his ex-girlfriend. Most likely Debra wouldn't know who Helen was, but Alex could see that Debra wasn't looking to make friends. On the contrary, Alex could almost hear the hissing and see the claws extending for a proverbial cat fight. "Debra, this is Helen," Alex said in response to Debra's question, hoping that the introductions will help to keep things calm, "And Helen, this is my wife's best friend Debra." Alex was thinking that it would be a good idea to refer to Sofia specifically as his wife to ensure that there were no misunderstandings about that point.

Helen paid little attention to Debra and she certainly gritted her teeth when he referred to this girl as his wife's friend. She certainly knew that whatever was going on with him and the girl who forced him into such a horrible situation would not last long. Helen glanced at Debra and also looked at her from head to toe before looking away from her, flicking her hair so that it nearly hit the goth girls face to show she could careless about her. Helen smiled at him still clung to his arm. "We have to catch up, there's so much I want to tell you! It's been a horribly long year without you." It was clear that she could careless about him being married and that she had intentions of getting back together with him more so because she saw that they were still a couple and that they never officially broke up.

Meanwhile Sofia already gathered her composure. It didn't take her long to regain herself since honestly she was used to disappointment coming from those she loved so why was this any different. Taking a deep breath she came walking down the hall with her Biology book in hand which she normally just left in class but she needed to come back with something. Sofia didn't acknowledge Alex or the girl that clung on to him. "Come on Debra...I'll take you home..." She then walked out of the school and went straight for her car and simply waited. It was up to Alex if he wanted to come along as well but he would have to hurry and make a decision before she would drive off because she would not wait forever.

Helen's dismissive attitude irritated Debra all-the-more. Before Debra could think of an appropriate response, though, Sofia came back and offered her a ride home. It was so obvious that Sofia detested Helen that there was no need to mention it. Instead, once Debra and Sofia had gone part-way to the car, Debra offered, "Do you want me to knife her? Just give the word, and I'll knife her and make it look like an accident." She then changed her voice to a high-pitched child-like tone as she continued, "Honestly, Mr. Police Officer sir! I have no idea how she managed to accidentally fall seven or eight times on that knife that I've never seen before in my entire life even though my fingerprints might be on it!" After chucking at her attempt at humor, she added, "I'm kidding about the fingerprints thing. If I do it, I'll wear gloves."

Things were rapidly going from bad to worse. Not only had Debra seen him with Helen, but now Sofia had walked by and had seen Helen as well. Sofia knew exactly who Helen was, and Alex doubted that she would have forgotten that he and Helen used to be a couple. Knowing that this was a defining moment in his marriage with Sofia, Alex was determined to be the one writing it. "Listen, Helen," he said to his ex-girlfriend, "I know how much that you want to catch up on things, but I don't have the time now. I have to get to the game, and Sofia's my ride. Coach will throw a fit if I'm not there to help coach Nate now that he's the starter and I'm sidelined. Besides, you know very well that I'm not going to miss the game just because I'm not playing. Anyway, it's nice to see you again, but I've got to go now. I'll catch you later." Alex then worked his way around Helen and started after Sofia and Debra as fast as he could go.

Helen was not happy at all when he gave such an excuse and even though she refused to let go he managed to get out of her grip and rush off. She narrowed her eyes and leaned against the door frame watching as he was slowly making his way over to the car where Sofia and Debra got in. Such a nice car? She had no idea who Sofia was but she was determined to get all the dirty details, and so she would go and search for any idiot girl to use as a pawn. There was no way she'd let Alex end up in a miserable marriage with such an ugly dorky girl. With that mind set, she turned and walked into the school to go into the office to talk to them and also to try and see if she could find anyone to be her 'right hand man'.

Sofia looked at Debra and smiled at her despite how shitastic she felt at the moment. "No you don't have to do that. She happens to be his ex-girlfriends...or so I believe. It doesn't matter." She then got into the car and sat there waiting. Only and idiot like Brandy would believe that she meant that it didn't matter. In fact it did matter but there was little Sofia could really do about it. The desire to fight to win someone over had died long ago, she was tried of fighting.

Once Alex caught up and got in Sofia drove off. Yes, she didn't bother to help him this time and soon enough they already dropped Debra off home and Sofia then headed home where she simply parked in front of the apartment complex the only thing she said was, "Do you need anything before we head off for the game?"
