Ale Posselna

PostPosted: Sat Nov 28, 2009 10:43 am

" Thank you, I'm sure she wasn't expecting that " Ale told Aris, holding his hand. "But let her finnish, I want to know where all of this comes from" Hikari, Matron and all the others were also very interested

Merina regained her breath " Of course I am jealous." She overlooked the rest of Aris' accusations, and continued: " We've received the same training. We've passed the same trials. We've danced to the same moon." She returned her attention back to Ale. " You said it yourself, you find me more skilled than you. Matron also says that. Even my father says that." she sighed and took a deep breath. " Yet there's something in you that makes the Elements favour you. All my life I wanted that. And you left before I could find out what it was."

Hikari and Matron exchanged a concerned look. Merina might have just revealed too much in the last statement.

"Why do you think I accepted to be Hikari's consort? Because he always knew. It wasn't a coincidence, for him to be in the cliffs that night. And he payed a high price, so he could see you through his dreams, to keep track of you. And you stand before me, and say you still don't know what it is..."

Merina let the rest of her anger took her over, and jumped to the girl. Ale adopted a defensive stance, but Merina never got to touch her. A flash of white light erupted, and the angered priestess hit the ground.

((Gaia has totally messed up the post order on this thread for me.. D: What the!? Anywho. Maybe it'll fix soon.))

Kyon woke with a sudden start. She was incredibly pale, and pulled herself to her feet from the couch. The woman seemed to struggle slightly, her stance shaky and unbalanced. Slowly, she shuffled on ahead to the bar, retrieving her silver bangle, before making her way upstairs. Cautiously, she made her way up, taking each step at a time. Certainly, she was in an unhealthy state right now, and had decided she needed to retire to Aris' room and borrow his bed for the time being. She knew her Big Brother wouldn't mind so long as she didn't make a mess. As she entered his room, her balance wavered as she shut the door behind her. The woman could not reach the bed before hitting the floor with a loud 'thud!' She was out for the moment, and laid on the ground in an unconscious state. A few moments later she was roused back to consciousness, but couldn't physically find the strength to reach those final paces to the bed. Kyon lay there, her face concerned and hinted with slight recognition of the scene. She knew what was going on. The fainting spells, falling asleep on others, being unable to handle physical exhaustion and sudden transportation.. it was all beginning to add up. It was no longer simply the fact that she lacked sleep. In fact, she got plenty of it.. It was happening all over again. Her own mortality was staring her right in the face once more.

Zefi looked around her and just stared at the trees. She had practically had a mental breakdown at Kageko's house last night... Why? Her feeling had subsided so she assumed it was from Kageko. Zefi found a small patch of flowers and put them in her backpack. She could see the castle but hid within the outer forest area. She was going to grow up before she went in there again. It didn't matter that she was seven she resented the fact she was the youngest and if she couldn't be at least a little more controlled then she should learn to get some new friends. She new she would also get a growth spurt where she would essentially be as tall as most of them but her teeth hadn't fully grown just yet. She still felt the pain in the back occasionally but the were growing smaller and less sharp indicating they were almost fully grown. Zefi ran her tongue over them and felt the tips of them. They were still so sharp... She looked at the gate and sat down. She wasn't ready to handle it yet.

(Here's hoping today's posts aren't as askew.)

Gren quietly played the piano in the main room, a song that held bittersweet nostalgia.

((looks around suspiciously before posting))

Angeles opened her eyes when she heard music. She hadn't been aware she had fallen asleep, but it was her keep senses renewed after the sunset that alerted her to her mistake. She shifted and sat up in the bed, swinging her legs over the side and standing up, a dark shadow in a dark room. She got ready, putting on her clothes and kit and taking the paper off the wall again. She would be prepared if Zulma returned that night, to leave immediately.

She made her way down the stairs and stopped at the landing to look over at Gren who was playing the piano. She couldn't help but smile.

Gren continued playing, but looked over to the smiling vampiress from the corner of his eye. "You look ready for work, madam."

(He's playing "Mechanical Lullaby" from Coraline.)

Zefi had been repeating basic motions of her sword outside in the forest. She didn't want to face the fact that she would need to go home soon. She had been quiet trying to see how long she would be able to stand it but didn't last long. Zefi stabbed the air pretending she was defending something. She slashed and swished wondering how long she would stay out here. Her hair was longer now and she remembered the last time she had cut it. it was almost three months ago she had chopped it off roughly with her dagger so it wouldn't get in her way. So many things had happened since then but three months... but that didn't explain how much it had grown. Supposedly she was supposed to get a growth spurt around now... She fingered her hair and looked at it. It was dark but definitely blonde... Maybe she should give herself another hair cut...

"Always," Angeles replied with a smile. This of course was something of a false answer but she paid it no mind and began walking over to where Gren sat. She closed her eyes and stopped by the piano, letting the melody fill her mind. A nonchalant smile stayed on her lips as thoughts cause by the music turned into images. She hummed softly to herself before opening her eyes again.

"I have decided to wait until Zulma's return, to inform her that I will be leaving for a while, before I leave. That way she'll keep my room open for me," she smiled at another attempt at a joke. She was not very good at them, perhaps she simply was not a humorous person.

"And you Gren? Your music seems... haunting. What plagues your mind this night?"

"Oh, of course. Because Zulma always closes people's rooms whenever they disappear at random." Gren smiled his crooked smile and finished the song's coda. "As for what's on my mind, not much at all. However, the mood tonight seems to be along those lines, and any performer can tell you to play to please."

Zefi looked about and took some food out of her bag. She planned to stay a few more days but on the other hand if her sister came looking for her she would get in that much more trouble. Maybe she could stay at the castle for a few days... Zefi decided that she would be fine though and continued to eat peacefully. She wondered why she had all these powers but her sister had none. It didn't make sense...

"Ah," said Angeles leaning against the piano and reaching down to strike on of the keys. A very deep and low sound came from the piano and she smiled, "I always thought that music was like poetry, it stemmed from the heart and came out as something beautiful to portray the emotions that the artist could otherwise not express."

"That would be a nice way to think of it...but I didn't write this one. I'm not the best at writing music, but I can at least play it for people who don't have any medium for expression, right?" He pressed a mid-range chord, striking resonance with Angeles' deeper note.

Zefi put everything away and climbed a tree. She needed something to do so badly she felt so un-needed. She couldn't understand so much and she knew so little. Like she knew that Kageko had taken her scroll and never told her about it but also never explained why. Zefi knew that Kageko knew she had found out about it and it bugged her that she hadn't tried to explain. Zefi wanted the world to be just the way she wanted but she was only seven and people don't respond well if you order them to do your commands. Plus she didn't want to be like that. She wanted to be a great ruler but she wanted to be a kind one not one that commanded them. She thought about what would happen when her Uncle died and Zrenni got control of the castle. She had heard so many tales of power she didn't know what to do. She had even noted the change of her Uncle. One day when she was a little child she remembered her Uncle having visited. He was a nasty man to her and Zrenni but he hated her parents even more. He said nasty things to them and called them cowards...Her parents explained that he was an important executive for a big business... yeah the business of the castle... Zefi didn't know it was a lie then... They had told her and Zrenni how he was a kind man before and loving but when he got the position of power he was mean... It made sense... She didn't want that to happen to Zrenni but Zrenni had rained for it long and hard so she didn't really have a choice... Zefi thought about what it had been like before...

Angeles nodded at Gren's words and chuckled slightly as he pressed another note to harmonize with hers. She moved her hand and struck another key near his, causing a lighter sound to come from the piano. She smiled at the simplicity of it all and removed her hand from the keys, "music is fascinating."
