"I'm sorry, but I doubt bribing her will work," Sosol intervened, already finding the fae unpleasant. "And, to be fair, Xei, you explain it rather often to people around here..."
Having cleaned himself up a little, Tyler left his room, strolling down the hall to check on Stacy, and then perhaps see who else was up and about.
"Ah...bit a growin' pains for ya two. Gotcha." Max lifted her head, allowing her arms to simply rest on the table. "Space is good, but ya don't hafta avoid each other like the plague. B'sides, I bet he'll be a lot less emo now that Angeles is back."

Stacy was in her room, getting dressed. She had just gotten out of the shower after getting back from work and was looking forward to a little bit of downtime. Perhaps she could convince Tyler to take her dancing later, but first she had to have a talk with her best friend. It was high time Chris and Crystal worked their problems out and she was going to see to it that they did.
((A delicious chili dog dinner awaits, so I shall return after these messages.))

"Oooooooh...one-a those big fights where y'all say a buncha stuff ya don't really mean, or maybe ya do at the time an' feel really bad about it after," Max summarized, even though it had been longer than the actual statement. "I betcha a cool twenty he feels bad 'bout the whole thing, too...but if ya never talk with 'im, how're ya supposed ta kiss an' make up?"
Tyler knocked at Stacy's door, knowing she was probably awake but not wanting to break her concentration on a case. "Stacy? It's Tyler...can I come in for a moment?"
((No worries...I have to go pick up some mushrooms for the pasta sauce tonight. BRB.))

Stacy paused when she heard Tyler knocking and looked down at herself. She wasn't quite dressed yet, but decided that would make this more fun. "Sure thing, Ty. Come on in." She sat down on the bed and started brushing her hair.

Shalmii walked up to her room, changed into travel gear, strapped a couple of bags of holding to her belt, put on some rings, and walked downstairs. "I'm going on a random quest. This will probably involve talking to NPC's, a couple of bosses, randomly generated dungeons, annoying enemies, a final boss who wants to destroy the world, and an extremely long bonus dungeon that will drop me to minimum strength." She took a large stone Kangaskahn out of her left bag, and set it in a corner of the inn. "If I get killed, or, as the annoying game company will put it, "fainted", this will send me back here, brought back to life, with no gold and half of my inventory. Toodles!" Shalmii then walked out the door.

((Back! With mushrooms and a special dinner planned for tomorrow. Aren't I domestic?))
Tyler opened the door and crept in, raising an eyebrow at Stacy as he closed it behind him. "Why, Miss Masters...it almost looks like you were expecting me."
Sosol took that in, glancing to the bizarre statue that now graced the corner. "...Max, was it just me, or--"
"Yep! Totally sounds like somethin' I'd play...wonder where she got the statue, though. Pokemon and RPGs never mixed really well...they tried, though." She beamed, turning her attention back to Crystal and her relationship problems. Honestly, having Remy trying to guess her last name seemed to be the only problem they had. Maybe it was because they were still so casual.
Meanwhile, Angeles tries ta shove us down the aisle...that's a lot ta think about. Doesn't she know that?

Derek blinked back into reality. He had zoned out thinking about the old job he had in the underneath. Glancing around, he realized he must have been out for a while. There were more people than he remembered.

Chris walked in and noticed the usual crowd present. He saw Max sitting in the corner and was about to join her when he saw that she already had a companion. He stood in stunned silence as he saw Crystal.
Stacy smiled at Tyler's reaction and put the brush down. Rising from the bed, she sauntered over to him and pulled him into an embrace. "Maybe just a little. I haven't decided yet if it's psychic instinct or woman's intuition. Either way, I'm glad to see you."

"I don't think I have to tell you the feeling's mutual," he answered, resting his head on her shoulder for a moment. "And I'm glad you could make it out to the party last night. Not often I have a woman to show off for."
Max looked to the door, grinning mischievously as she noticed who entered. "Superdude! Over here! Been warmin' a seat for ya!" She called, waving wildly to him...she hadn't planned this at all, but this opportunity was not going to waste.
Sosol couldn't help but facepalm slightly, shaking his head but getting to work on a couple drinks anyway.

Chris walked over to the table, albeit reluctantly, and took a seat between the ladies. "Hi, Max. Always good to see you. Hi, Crystal. How are you?"
"I'm doing very well. Thank you for asking."
"You don't have to show off for me. I think you're pretty special already. I'm free tonight. Got any plans?"

Shalmii then teleported back in, next to the statue. "Gah... Stupid shopkeepers! They never let me steal their Link Boxes..." She checked her bags. Sure enough, all of her gold was gone. However, instead of the halved inventory, all of her stuff was replaced with Plain Seeds. "Grrr... I'll kill that stupid, extra speedy, multiplying chameleon! He took my Joy Seed!" She then looked around, embarrassed, and put the statue in her bag of holding. "Oh! Sorry! Just... um... dropping in!"

Turning towards Shalmii in surprise when she reappeared, Derek grinned a bit at the seed comment. "Odd. Isn't a seed a seed?" he asked, not exactly sure what she meant.

Shalmii turned toward the person. "Um... well... just like different plants have different uses, for example, nightshade is used in poisons while potatoes are used in french fries, the different magical seeds in the randomly generated dungeons that I went to have different uses. For example, Blast Seeds explode, while Heal Seeds cure disease and statuses. In this case, I obtained the rare Joy Seed, which immediately makes the eater stronger. However, before I could eat it, the shopkeeper accused me of stealing from his shop. In these dungeons, you take turns. Shopkeepers, when angered, get to ignore turns, and take two for every one turn you get. They also multiply. Also, if a shopkeeper kills you, he replaces your entire inventory with Plain Seeds. Plain Seeds are the only seeds in these dungeons that don't do a thing... so... they're useless... Aaaaaand, all of the shopkeepers are far more powerful than the final boss. Take, for example, that I was the final boss of a game. My brother Eisiol would be the shopkeeper who keeps a shop in the final dungeon just to annoy people. Stupid... stupid... stupid! And, he took one of my hammers! I'm lucky that the shopkeepers don't replace clothing with Plain Seeds... that would be embarrassing when I get teleported back here."

With what could only be described as an amused look on his face, Derek nodded. "Merchants, in the elemental tongue, are called tiktor. Which, in turn, means 'absurdly rich and dangerous thief'. Seems suiting for your case." Leaning back a bit, accompanied by a cloud of dust, he asked his next question. "What about that statue?"
