"You're on, hon!" Max answered, pulling him for the stairs. "Been a while since I watched one-a them..."
"Suit yourself," he shrugged, walking off to join Sosol and perhaps help clean up the place a bit. After all, save for pulling Albee from the ceiling, he hadn't done much. He has a way with words, that Chris. Bit of a double-edged sword, though...

Jake dashed back into the room and looked around. "Is everything ready? Everything has to be perfect. Nothing can be out of place. Reservations are confirmed. Flowers are on the way. Limo rented. Nate making her favorite cookies. Good. Good." He pulled out a chair and sat in the middle of the floor. "Now to wait."
Chris stopped his ranting and looked at Jake, full of hope. He chuckled to himself and sat down at the bar, suddenly feeling better. He didn't know how much of the message Jake had read, or how much of it he had even absorbed. All he knew was that he was going to have fun watching Jake sit in front of the door for two days. "Now where does Sol keep the good stuff?"

"You could always ask," Sosol answered, smirking teasingly. "Most of it lives in an invisible box...should I fetch a bottle for you?"
Terry, meanwhile, was sweeping the floor, dancing a little with the broom to make it fun. Jake seemed so excited for this woman...she must've been something special. However, the question on his mind was when Stella would drop by again. He could tell he was making some serious progress...only a matter of time.
"Sci-fi always wins, Remy," Max winked, humming in thought before running past him to the stairs. "I'm getting popcorn! Start it up!"

"Yes, and toast with me the return of my sister." She'll arrive in two days, he thought as a mischievous grin crossed his face. He knew Sol would hear the thought and didn't think the bartender would mind sharing in a private joke, even if it was at Jake's expense.

Sosol stifled his reaction, walking for the basement and ensuring that Jake wouldn't catch on to his own lack of foresight. Any preference, Chris?Terry raised an eyebrow, shrugging at the two. Hopefully they would include Jake in the toast...it was his girlfriend, after all.Max, meanwhile, bopped into the kitchen, humming a little ditty to herself as she dug out a bowl and the air popper. Hopefully, all those unskippable previews would be over by the time she got back up there.

Got the perfect thing, then, Sosol shot back, grabbing a bottle and cloaking the box again before heading up to join the others.
A few minutes later, Max emerged from the kitchen with a sizable bowl of popcorn with melted butter and a little seasoning. "Mooovie night~" She sang in what sounded like no key at all as she waved to the others and headed upstairs to meet with Remy and watch some sci-fi spoofage.
"You know, you never realize how big this room is until you have to clean it," Terry said with a chuckle, continuing to sweep. "At least James didn't leave that weird machine here..."

Jake was oblivious to anything else going on. "Any second now. She'll be here any second."
"I can't watch this. I just can't." He walked over to Jake and took the slip of paper out of his hand. It was the name of the restaurant and the time of the reservation. "I can't let a reservation at one of the nicest restaurants in the area go to waste. Has anybody seen Tyler and Stacy? I'll bet those two could use a night on the town."

"Both of them were at the party a couple days ago...haven't seen them since," Sosol answered, now entering the main room with the bottle of brandy.
"You might check Stacy's room," Terry said thoughtfully, smiling as he swept up a pan full of dust and dumped it in the garbage.

"I never read it...thank God for peer reviews," Max said with a beaming smile, carrying a bowl of popcorn and a small bottle of the red stuff under her arm. "Didn't think it was fair to snack in front a ya...they done yet?"
Sosol closed his eyes for a moment. "It's safe. I'll call them down." As he measured out the three glasses, he relayed the message:
Tyler, Stacy...how would you like a night on the town, courtesy of a lovesick fool?
Terry waved to Gren in greeting, leaning on the broom slightly as he glanced sideways at Sosol. "Did you just--"
"Yes. Terry, I've seen things far worse than anything they could have been doing together," he chuckled, shuddering for a moment as one of them popped up in his memory. "They'll be down in a moment or two."
Tyler blinked. "Hate it when he does that...might let it slide, though. Wanna see what he was talking about?"
