"Another mission briefing...looks like I'm spending the rest of the week knocking some heads together," she answered, folding the paper with some sharp creases and sticking it in her pocket. "I'm not used to being so busy except during the Halloween season...it's usually so slow this time of year."
"I am surprised as well, Azana," Kristen said, handing the deck to Gren. "If it allows assistance, I shall accompany you."

((Truth is: I've got part two of that workshop I went to going on starting tomorrow evening. 11 am - midnight days for most of it. gonk ))
"I think I've got it. Just like old times, you know?" She chuckled halfheartedly, shaking her head. "Besides, I've been promised it'll dry up at the end of the month."
"My brother predicted it," Kristen smiled, fanning out each card as she received them. "He misses having you around."

Derek sat up. He had dazed off and lost track of anything that was happening. Seeing that most of the people in the room were occupied, he slipped outside to try out his new tools. Firing up the furnace, he melted down a small amount of ore and began shaping. The ringing echoed dully.

((Whee! Home from class.))
Kristen pouted slightly, having lost the game of Go Fish. There was little else to do but chat with others and listen to the distant sounds of metalsmithing. "Is he really--"
"Earth elemental? Yeah. Sol told me he offered to pay in gems and stuff," Azana answered, determined to stay up as late as she could and delay her departure. It seemed like just last week she had been in prison...actually, it was just last week. If I wind up behind bars again for this one, someone's getting it.
Terry walked into the Inn, humming happily to himself. "Kristen! I didn't expect to see you here!"

After quite a time, the ringing stopped. Derek slowly came back inside, a intricate metal loop in his hand. Setting down in his usual spot, he looked at the looping knot of metal he had made, before tossing it onto a nearby table. He then bowed his head and seemed to doze off.

Io walked in, sitting wearily at a table. She had been up all night with trying to decipher some book that Noctis had found the other day. She had proceeded to bug her for hours until she agreed to. It had been an odd read; something about "Dracula" and "bloody Mary Sues"... Her arms folded on the table surface as she blinked rapidly in an effort to keep herself awake.
((ahhhh, classes once again. *headdesk* at least this semester doesn't look too bad. And Gren, you'll get the reference xd I couldn't think of anything to post so..yeah.))
