"That's depending on how efficient he's hoping to be," Sosol said, walking out of the kitchen after a grocery run. Tyler seemed the exact opposite of James, with that pure tunnel vision he had sometimes. He had been in there for hours, but he didn't care. "Hope you like chili..."
"Good evening, poet," Kristen said, calm with a sleeping kitten on her lap. "I suppose better to have loved and lost...is that not how the saying reads?"

"Hey, don't worry about it!" Sosol smiled. "It's useful to have you as a stand-in, since you can figure out what's real rather easily. Besides, I was the one that promised the grocery run. He's promised no more, which is good, because I think it's about ready."
"That is correct...however, you seem like a man who has been in love at least once. Perhaps Terry would provide good company to your misery." She chuckled lightly, careful not to disturb Fritz.

Fritz, considerably calmer, yawned mightily and stretched, first his fore paws, then his rear. Licking his nose, he shook his head before hopping from Kristen's lap in pursuit of food.
Remy nodded. "I could mark them, but I suppose that'd miss the point. Another, Laimu?"

"Hm...what is it like, Laimu?" Kristen asked, partially out of curiosity, and partially out of the hope that talking about the good times would get him out of his depression.
"I really got lucky," Sosol muttered to himself, a grin sneaking up on him at the thought of Azana.
Tyler hummed quietly, a pair of ear buds giving him a direct dose of brain candy. His glasses were half-fogged as he looked over the simmering chili, but he didn't mind. It had been a long time since he had made it, and with the abundance of good ingredients, it would probably be better than his old concoctions. "..love's comin' back my way, hey hey!"

The door opened, Gren appearing with a weary expression. "Hello..." he said quietly, setting down his saxophone case and taking a seat at the bar, letting his arms hang limp at his sides. "Three two-set performances in a day..."
Remy nodded, pouring Laimu another, and starting tea water for Gren. "You're gonna want something with a straw, aren't you..."
"If I don't have to use my hands, we're golden."

Xei follows not long after Gren, keeping her birdlike appearance, wings tucked at her sides her skin now slightly golden instead of pale, the feathers gleaming softly as she scooted her way to the back.

"Sounds rough...would you like something to drink? Also, it seems chili's on the menu tonight," Sosol said, nudging his head toward the kitchen and the faint sounds of cooking and mediocre singing.
"Love is like riding a bicycle?" Kristen blinked, humming in thought. "Exhilarating, exhausting, difficult to balance...I can see your simile's merit."
"...I got the Jack, the Ace, the King and Queen..." Tyler sang happily, not minding that he didn't have the greatest voice in the Inn, as he tested the chili and began to break out the fixings. "Almost done in here!"
