She took a light slip, the familiar tingle passing her lips, "Hmm.." Downing the rest she licked her lips some, waiting a moment, then frowned. "Well damn..but maybe I could add this to mine maybe.." The siren mumbled to herself, pulling out the worn note pad.

Howard woke up in bed, suddenly worn with stress and pain he hadn't felt before last night. It had grown while he slept, but he didn't want Xei to worry about it too much. But now, it was nearly crippling, confining him to the bed. He reached for his glasses and slipped them on, looking about.
"Xei..."

She tilts her head some, hearing her name faintly. She slips out of chair and moves to the stairs, looking up them before slinking up the wooden perches, moving to Howard's door. Xei reaches for the knob, opening it slowly. "You ok?"

Seeing the slow reactions she growls slightly under her breath and moves to the bed, taking a seat next to him, placing a hand on his leg softly and very lightly, scanning down his form. "What's wrong?" Her normally mellow and calm voice was tainted with worry and concern, fiery eyes on his face.

Panicking slightly she looks around some, then rests her gaze back on him, "The dragon maybe?" She dugs through her pack, pulling out a vial of blackish looking ooze, holding it up to him. "It won't taste good, but might help some." At the moment though, she wished someone was around to help.

He coughed, obvious pain in it.
